Silence, mostly. The beeping on the heart monitor was the only comfort in the darkness of the hospital room as Ijimeru Kitanai's eyes opened slowly. Her entire right arm bandaged from shoulder to wrist, with dark bloody stains as she turned her head to look at it. Breathing through an oxygen mask as her mind slowly came to. She didn't remember the injury. She only looked upon it. For a long while. She tried to desperately jog her memory of where she was, why she was there, and who put her there. The black cat moved a shaky hand to pull away the bandage, the wound that would normally still be bleeding had been scabbed up, and scarring by now (05), and she removed it from her arm, letting it waterfall to the floor as she looked upon the large slash from her upper arm to her wrist. All of the bleeding certainly was what had brought her to the hospital, and they had probably done some sort of transfusion from blood loss. She pulled the fluid needle from her other arm-- she didn't have time for this. She didn't have time to lay around weak and restless from some near death experience she barely remembered. She had places to be, and a job to finish.
Grabbing the edges of the bed, she pulled herself over to swing her legs over the side. Her body was pale, especially in the moonlight and against the blue hospital dress. Her legs a little shaky as she stared at the floor, gaining up the courage to push herself onto the cold tile, holding onto the bed as she did so, allowing her legs to get used to the weight of her body again. Flexing her toes on the cold tile, she took in a deep breath. Still alive. Gotta go. (03).
Kitanai moved to the end of the bed, holding the side as she looked at the chart. Excessive bleeding. Unconscious. Coma? Her eyes traced for a date and time, falling upon it and taking a mental note as she looked across the room at the calender and the time--- that was five hours ago. She wasn't surprised. Her body wasn't exactly the kind to give into a coma so easily. (07) Dropping the chart, she pressed the power button the heart monitor, and pulled the scanner from her finger-- no one needed to know she was slipping out. Pushing her dirty hair from her shoulders and onto her back as she slowly opened the door to her room, peeking out. The hallway was dark, and kind of musty, honestly. There didn't appear to be any sounds of footprints, just that of subtle moaning of pain from some distant room. Stepping out onto the cold floor, she made her way quietly down the hall, stopping just before a nurses room. The door was open, and you could hear the girls giggling and talking about something--waiting for some massive catastrophic mishap to change their nightly shift up. But that probably wouldn't happen tonight--especially because Kitanai wasn't going to get caught.
Leaning down, she peered through the crack of the door, all of the girl's backs facing the door as they were watching some strange TV show on a small screen--they were crowded around it, giggling in excitement. They all shared an interest in it, it seemed, and it made a perfect opportunity as Kitanai crept past the door, and quickly down the hall. (08) Moving to a supply closet, she opened the door to find a pair of extra scrubs, looking up and down the hall before slipping them on quickly, as well as a surgical mask. This would make it easier for her to get through the hospital to find her clothes without running into any trouble.
It took a little longer than anticipated, but she finally found the room full of laundry, and shelves and shelves of patients personal items, including clothes. She scanned the shelves for her name before finding it and pulling it apart, slipping on the outfit she had on before, the left sleeve completely gone--probably cut off to stop the bleeding or something. Not that it mattered, she wouldn't be looking to be fashionable tonight. She slipped out into the alleyway of the hospital--probably where the staff went to smoke, and broke into the pitch black streets. Rain hailing from the sky, and soaking her hair and clothes as she looked around at the signs to figure out where she was. Next stop, the Kyōmi Otoko residence.
She stood in the rain, shrouded in darkness before the residence. It had taken a while to find his home. She had to stop at the bar first, and ask around, and pay a few favors to find out his location, and here she was: (09) A large home, very traditional, and owned by only one man. The rain puddled around her feet, her clothes soaked in mud as she made her way up the stone pathway to the porch and before the paper sliding door, opening it slowly. Her moves were silent as she took a few steps into the home--it was profoundly old fashion. Lit only by a few candles, covered in ink paintings and made completely of dark wood and silk. Her eyes scanned the floor and the walls, taking a few steps into the quiet house, moving like a ghost as she looked for the man of interest.
"Do you like my home, Miss Ijimeru?" The sound of metal scraped quickly as the woman turned around with her claw blades drawn on out of her gauntlets, with almost paranormal quickness. (10) "Otoko." Her smirk drew across her lips slowly, "I see you survived our first tumble, my dear," He was an older gentleman, dressed in robes with his hands hidden between the two sleeves that met in front of him. His eyes drew over her body, suggesting that he was the one who had done the damage. "You and that other young lad worked well together, you know." He took a single step towards her, "You are a great leader. Fought true to his side, and never let him fall limp. Shame only one survived." (06) And it all rushed back. Like a waterfall of emotions, memories, and terror as the great battle between the old man, Kitanai, and her young partner Tatakai. And only two stood in the house now. Kai had been laid to rest earlier by... this old man? Her memory recalled much different. A large shadowy demon of sorts. This man was frail, but unafraid. So what was the creature that fought not so long ago? And where was it now?
"That beast..." She said quietly, trying to remember. "Oh? You don't recall?" The frail old man said, a grin coming about his face as he separated his hands from his sleeves. "Well, let me remind you child." It was then, that he over came a great transformation. His clothes began to tear, and his skin began to fall with it and reveal a sickening fleshy red. Horns basking from his head and his mouth widening and sharp teeth growing. His body stretching to impossible heights as the rest of his papery old-man skin and clothes puddled at the floor beneath the beast, as it came close to the 9ft ceiling, and let out a terrible screech. It's mighty claws unsheathing as it uttered what seemed to be even a dark laughter.
Kitanai's eyes widened as she stared upon the creature, standing in a prepared stance as it let out another horrifying scream. "Holy hell..." She muttered as the two legged monster's sharp talons swung wildly at her--and now was not the time to play the hero. Ducking she quickly moved out of the room, making a run for it in the massive mansion. "Oh fuck...! Ohhhh fuck! Her weapons still on her wrists as she dove under the clothed bar in what appeared to be a kitchen of sorts, the sound of the demon stomping through the house heard not to far away. It's tail swinging and breaking things, as it tore through the house in a search. Kita looked upon the claws, doubting their power--only for a second, as the markings upon them glew ever so slightly. These weapons were capable. (00)
Wrapping the claws in a fire jutsu, whilst still holding them, (01) as the monster skidded by and through the room, she rose from the bar, stalking behind it slowly as she listened closely to his grunting and heavy breath. Her eyes looked upon his muscled and bloody back for the point of interest, "Tatakai was a good kid." Was all she said before leaping into the air, taking her blades and sinking them into his ferocious back, and through his tough skin--and piercing the heart.
The cry shook the Earth as it fell, and she proceeded to give it a few more piercings through the back in order to make sure it at really fallen, as she stood on top of it as it laid on the ground. Kita shook from the power that shredded through her body, pulling the claws from the corpse as it shriveled and she moved away from it. Leaning against the wall as she put the claws back into her braces, and made her way out of the building and stood before it, lighting a fire jutsu through her hands (04) and set the building in flames.
