Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Standing on the edge of an oasis, Za would look at the land before him. Everything seemed to be working well, and his relationships with Nobu, Shion, and Sumiko seemed to be flourishing. He had spent a long time on the streets, living in the orphanage and then leaving it to better himself, but being kicked to the street as a response. He had nothing, and knew no one when he came here. However, that drove him, he would exact revenge on his father one day... Maybe he wouldnt, but who knew. That was his own choice.

However, confined to the riches that he was now embarking on, Zatoru knew that there would be some hard decisions that he would make that he would not be able to turn back from. From time to time, since Nobu had shown him a way through the gate, a small dug up hole that was a somewhat tunnel under the village walls to lead outside the village he would take it from time to time to the outer skirts of the village to just breath without the watchful eye of superior shinobi ranks.

Alas, there was a time in Za's short life that he believed things weren't going to change for him. That they would begin to slip into a deep darkness that he would not be able to get out of. Believing that he would be swallowed whole, into the belly of the Whale, that was his truth. Until he met Nobu. Their talks... actually helped him to believe in the truth that this life was something that they could change with the right amount of pressure applied to it. It was empowering to know that a person could change their lives if they could only do something about it. And to do something about it you had to work your smaller goals into the grander scheme.

Thus, they would train together. Telling themselves that the only thing this world trusted and respected was power. Power in the hands. Power in numbers. Power political schemes. Power in general. To have that power would be something that would give them leverage. Firstly they had to increase their power within the village. To do that they had to upgrade themselves to earn higher ranks. Which meant to do the things they wanted to do they would have to first, go along. And to get along one would have to go along. Be it façade or just genuinely doing things to better themselves, they would do it. Because, in order to accomplish their goals... these were necessary truths...

Every time while Za was outside these walls, he would find himself looking at the sky, being as free as a bird would help him. However, that may not be the way to get what he needed. It was definitely possible to obtain the status they would want to claim, but without freedom they would always be hindered. Something that Za would have to talk to Nobu about when it came down to it... because they could be powerful but they would always be under the thumb of the village.

The best time to go was under the darkness of night, the stars helped one wonder what could be out there... on this night Za would find himself wandering, through the trees, he'd already made it out of the main parts of the village, enabling him to the other parts. This would be something that would ultimately would cause him to enjoy nights like this. It was... the freedom, and open air.

It was in this moment that Za would find himself in the midst of a small clearing of trees that all seemed to touch the dark sky.

'Red woods? Maybe? Why is this part cleared?' Za would think to himself looking around the forest, there didnt seem to be anything different about the trees around here, but there was something strange about the forest floor. Something seemed to have happened months before, the earth below him was scarred, chakra had burned this area but had not effected the trees. Maybe this would be something that he would have to look into... but how? Za wasnt a forensic shinobi. Hell the knowledge he had most of anyone had. However, Za was inquisitive. Always wondering and trying to figure out what was what, and how to learn from it. So he would sit there for about an hour looking at everything and trying to figure what had happened over the course of the time that these things created this blackened earth.

'Explosive note?' He'd think but it wouldnt make sense because there was no blast that effected the foliage around the blast. It was almost like there was a centralized attack that didnt contact anything else here. Tapping his finger to his chin, he'd move his tabi boots under him and would figure this would be something he would have to make a notion for, because the crumbled sand beneath him didnt move like dirt, it was....gummy? It stuck together, and managed to have the same consistency as glue. Thick, barely moveable.

'This isnt anything I've ever seen before...' Za's mind would rush. Beginning to wonder what was going on... Za would begin to sink into the black mass. Like slow dissolving quicksand, and it did begin swallowing him whole. As a small creature into the gargantuan maw of its predator. The uneasy feeling of everything you work for slowly slipping away as you descend into the damned light. The opposing force tot he light, gathering everything that you are and taking it into itself without remorse. Za screamed... the horror in his tone echoing in the desolation that he'd found himself in. He was alone, no Nobu, No Shion, no one to help him out of this terror he'd found himself in. It was as if his greatest fears had come true and there was nothing left he could do. As it began to take him... He saw nothing but darkness, but his hand would be the last to emerge from within battered nd bruised.

Only for him to wake up underneath the blinding light of the sun! A cold chill ran down Za's back before he would look around. Still outside of the village, on a branch high up in a canopy. It was scary to say the least, something that had plagued him endlessly but it wasnt real. Looking around him frantically and checking his clothing for any sign of his dream being true, but nothing was found. Gasping for air for a moment before he'd begin to calm his thumping heart. it was seriously the closest he'd felt to the death that should have taken his life when his father impaled him. It was something that he would be definitively remembering as the days would continue to wane and wonder. However, knowing this, only fueled him to want to become stronger, to become that being that could overtake his father.

It was a simple story of revenge... and as Za would continue to flourish with the Clan Nobu was forming, he knew that he would get to every desire he wanted to achieve. Because he trusted and believed in Nobu. He believed in the image that he was trying to exude. He believed in the message of taking from the rich and giving back to their roots and upbringing. Za knew that with every passing moment and every waking day that he would train, he would be getting stronger and closer to what goals he would want to achieve. To take his father's life, and the life of all of his siblings that did nothing but watch as his life wasted away.

To take out the household and to avenge his mother.

Though there was alot of time for that, time for the sake of making changes to his life, his body and mind. With the help of those around him he would be able to achieve these things one day at a time. One thing at a time, a chance would come that he would not be able to turn away, but he would be better off at any pace to learn from and to grow with them. He'd begin to head back to the wall, jumping from tree to tree without the use of the chakra to grip unto the branches he was beginning to freelance it. Maybe he was getting truly better at this, he knew Nobu was better but maybe he wouldnt be too far behind with everything and everyone around him growing at alarming paces. One day he would be able to protect those closest to him, at least he would be able to protect himself from people like his father here soon...

Maybe learning jutsu like he has been was the reason his father was afraid of it. Ninjutsu and the like were very strong and because his father was weak minded to think that one person could prevent the knowledge and understanding of such would be daft on his part, however, there was something quite interesting in the middle of the forest...

Maybe he would check it out before heading back to the village? Who knew...
