Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The cool breeze and the tang of fresh yet lightly salty yet sweet water caressed the entourage's bodies. Ancient chakra crystals lined the ceiling and the murky silty sands of the massive chamber where stalagmites and stalactites would have been. The Oushi-Oujo side of the family had done extensive work with the vaulted ceiling of the fallen mountain from the war with the ancients. The reinforced vaulted structure itself was restructured from crystal supports mined from the shattered mountain. The massive amounts of Earth chakra released by its formation helped to significantly repair the master seal that preserved the Tomb of the One King. The resulting work had caused many once never before seen chakra crystals to be found. The heavily chakra laced stones and crystals beneath the Toraono Dojo reinforced the sub surface barriers to prevent access to Sunagakure by Sandwyrms. The remaining open chambers like this honeymoon suite were specially sealed chambers for specific clan members affiliated with the dojo and their blood relatives. These chambers were built and sealed so that only they or a Toraono Clan master could enter. It was in a sacred chamber pervaded by specially routed leylines, seals, and elemental crystals, and ancient Toraono lore depicted in special chakra activated murals. The ceilings rose so high that subterranean clouds formed and in the distance a small thunder storm stirred above the waters in reaction to the Maelstrom's electromagnetic field above. Intricate carvings surged all over the hundreds of chakra pillars hand rubbed to perfection by the masonry skills of the Oushi-Oujo Clan.

On the far side of the shoreline near what would be West were they above ground was a collapsed tunnel that large and small workers were furiously pulling debris from. It was formerly a secret tunnel to the Throne of Bone, a backdoor to Sunagakure should the worst befall it. After the wrath of Djinn the ancient tunnel had collapsed on its distant end and the passage so damaged that other tunnels needed to be dug. For the line of workers pulling stone after stone free and carefully shoveling earth aside it was now with great urgency sense the massive explosion reminiscent of Djinn's attack that they find a way to their beseiged kin.

As Naoki arrived at the scene, she heard many things. People working, a breeze blowing, but most curiously, water lapping against sand. She could smell the salt on the breeze too, but it felt different from when she was out at sea with her father. It was somewhat... subdued.

The sounds of the toil allowed her to sense her surroundings, and in much detail. She didn't have the want to take it all in at just that moment though, as she was still eager to see if she could lend a hand to anyone here. Not wanting to disturb anyone though, she contemplated the correct action to take amongst all the hubbub in this area.

Byakko Naito ran over and hugged Samejima, then she realized she was wearing her desert breather suit so Naoki might not recognize her. Quickly removing her breather and goggles Naito cheered for Naoki. " Welcome to UNDERSEA Naoki!! I am so very proud of you becoming a genin in such a short time. Now that you are here you can help us locate safe places to dig and help us find where to dig faster to reach Sunagakure from Undersea. Long ago there was a roadway that the Ancient Lord Homura used to funnel slaves back and forth from his coliseum to a series of dungeons that served as a place for the Gladiators to rest and train. After Homura was defeated by the One King the main tunnels collapsed and were sealed by his supporters and court to keep the gladiators who were still there from joining the forces of the One King. We plan to reopen that passage and from there make a path to Sunagakure. I have a battle leathers, and a breather for you, Do you think you can user your powers to help us?"<i></i> Naito was practically giddy to have Naoki there after hearing about how well she had passed all her tests and training.

If Naoki listened she could hear the sounds of fifty people some large, many small digging in various elemental and physical ways at a generally forty five degree angle towards the southwest to reach deep into the earth to forge another path to Sunagakure.

Naoki was made aware of a set of running footsteps headed towards her. Sure that this was a safe location, yet still not quite in control of her reactions, she spun and tried to ready herself, failing miserably and slipping towards the sound of the footsteps.

Surprisingly, she fell into a hug from a figure she couldn't identify. As Naito spoke however, Naoki recognised her voice as one she'd heard before, and as she spoke, Naoki was able to sense the face to associate the voice to. "Ohh, it's Naito-san! Th-thanks..." The wind having been slightly knocked out of her, she straightened up, took a deep breath disguised as a sigh of relief, seeing Naito remove her breather, though unsure what it was.

After hearing a little about the history of Sunagakure, and noting that she did indeed recognise the title 'The One King', but currently did not remember whom exactly it entailed. "Whatever it takes, I'll help however I can! What should I do first?" Naoki replied, with the enthusiasm of one who had no idea of what was happening in the village she so wanted to enter.

Byakko Naito thought hard for a moment then she had an idea. "What I understand from legends and what Master Onimaru has told me, you can hear a pin drop and distinguish us by the sounds of our voices and heartbeats. If that's true you should be able to generate a sonic echo that will allow you to point out where we should dig "<i></i> Naito was happy to have Naoki with her, now all she worried about was Yoko and her observation team. Large pallets of various materials were stacked at even intervals, there was definitely a plan going on to get the dig done correctly with the most efficiency possible. All they needed now was a way to find the right paths and air pockets for stability.

If Naoki listened hard right now she could hear the sounds water flowing down ancient untouched passages that ran parallel to their current area.
Other things noticed will be revealed by good rp and usage of abilities...don't forget to discover new jutsu

"Leave it to me!" Naoki said, and rushed off towards the dig site, pulling Naito along.

From the noises the diggers were generating, Naoki was able to sense that there was something very different with a part of the immediate area. Luckily, they had not reached it, but the digging was getting close. She tilted her head towards the dig site to get a better read on it, but couldn't get any more information from it without finding a larger source of sound, or a way to sharpen the existing source.

"Say, Naito-san, there's something weird-looking pretty close to where the diggers are going... It's really big... and round?" She figured it was a really big ball, and wondered how anyone could play with a ball that big... Not that she still played with balls, she was over that stage of life.

The digging team stopped and Naito directed a small but pressurized stream of water into the ground to encircle the area Naoki had pointed out. What happened next was most unexpected, the pocket collapsed inward revealing a partial set of stairs, that distinctly led down. It seemed they were on the right path after all as Naito washed the encrusted earth away, a small insect was produced by a masked man which flew down and checked the area for bad air, possible fungus or crystallized disease. The bug flew back with a piece of tiny crystal clutched in its pincers and after a brief flicker of chakra, the masked man nodded and the dig team nodded to Naoki in thanks. Naito turned to her and hugged her like there was no tomorrow. " You are truly a blessing from the gods, lead us Naoki, use your gift to take us back to Sunagakure."

ooc: sorry about the shortness of the post, be as descriptive as you can using and mastering your bloodline abilities and find new ways to use the jutsu's you decide to master to find your way underground. Keep up the good work Samejima.

Hugs are nice... Naoki thought, as the digging team headed onward and downward. She followed them in, hoping to help out some more.

The stairway inside was partial, so it either isn't fully revealed... or it had been destroyed, its remnants covered up by rubble. The team continued digging, while Naoki used the sounds of their work to find details about the area she was currently in. There were two areas she found suspicious this time, one on either side of the tunnel. The team was digging at the same angle they'd been digging, to see if the stairway continued down... But Naoki was unsure of whether or not taking that direction was the right thing to do. It might lead them to dig a hole right through to the passage, thus providing a shortcut. But it might destroy precious carvings on any walls.

She didn't usually pay much heed to culture and history, believing it to be a thing of the past, but even her simple history has been helping her through a lot these past few days, and she felt the want to preserve it for as long as she could. She'd also gotten a glimpse, so to speak, of the artistry exhibited by the Oushi-Oujo clan in the carvings on the chakra pillars, and found it interesting to say the least. To save anything they'd come across, she would need to examine certain spots, and somehow find a way to more clearly sense what goes on behind the rubble.

Walking over to the left side of the end of the stairway, Naoki pressed her ear to a hole in the wall, before hearing a very disturbing pitter-patter and jumping away from it in shock. There were bugs down this way.

Moving on to the right side, she examined the wall of the stairway and knocked on the rock. Unfortunately, she was unable to get much of a read from it. She needed a way to focus the sound energy and direct it towards the walls... And she wasn't sure the existing energy was enough.

Stepping back, Naoki prepared to perform a Hyper Clap. Just as she was about to unleash her clapping fury, she heard a small amount of debris fall behind her. Stopping instinctively, she realised that the stairway was already under the strain of being dug and would not take kindly to having a powerful sound wave bounced inside it without a clear purpose. She would need quite a bit of control over sound to pull this off...

"Sorry everyone, could you cover your ears for a sec?"

Taking a deep breath, she calmed down and assessed the wall for a specific area to strike, but finding none, she decided to target the middle. Wanting to make sure she didn't cause the stairway any unnecessary stress, she projected some of the chakra from her hands forwards to create a makeshift funnel. If there were any objections to her actions, she would stop, but if there were none she would proceed as planned, performing a concentrated Hyper Clap at the wall and directing any excess sound waves back to its intended target.

Receiving the sound back, albeit in a muted state so as to not damage her ears, she found that the path continued beyond the wall. It was too thick to dig through without being too forceful for the stairway to sustain, though Naoki didn't know this. There had to be a mechanic somewhere that triggered its opening...

If allowed to proceed with her previous action, and if the stairway didn't collapse, Naoki would relay the information she'd procured to Naito and the digging team, including the thickness of the wall and the bugs she heard down the other wall.

Her efforts were not in vain as an ancient passage that had been partially blocked was opened by her sonic prowess clearing the debris from old cogs and mechanics. A chamber would be revealed and a few people could be seen at a distance inside of it. Support structures were put in place with a swift unerring ease that showed how often they had done this kind of labor.
