Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Rank : Jonin

[fontsize="12"]~ Other Information ~[/fontsize]
[fontsize="11"]~ Appearance ~[/fontsize]
[fontsize="11"]Natsu has with blonde hair reaching to his shoulders and a few locks dangling in front of his face, covering his green eyes. He usually wears glasses even though he doesn't really need them. He feels as if they give him a more serious look, and therefore quite likes them. He does take them off before a more physically-intense activity such as battles to keep them out of harm's way.

As he developed into his role of diplomat, Natsu is almost always seen in full suit attire. A traditional English cut, the suits have been tailored to his size. Depending on the formality of the occasion, he might wear a veston underneath the vest as well. His shirt sleeves are always rolled up to his elbows, regardless of weather, though this is only visible when the upper vest is taken off. Dress shoes with a low heel round off the outfit.

When he is out for a full-contact mission he's most likely to be found in his full Shinobi attire. When he’s coordinating the mission from the background he’ll wear his suit attire. Cover missions obviously depend on the situation. Due to his body’s abilities, he doesn’t have to strap dangerous and sharp objects all over his body. The only weapon he might carry openly is the Spear of Longinus he retrieved during a mission in Tenouza.

Finally, a large tattoo covers most of his back. It was scribed by the ANBU Captain Rega when she placed several Cursed Seals onto his body. The tattoo is in the shape of a large balance, each seal being a part of the tattoo.[/fontsize]
[fontsize="11"]~ Personality ~[/fontsize]
[fontsize="11"]Similar to his attire, Natsu strives for perfection in his work, studies and missions. This stemmed from a need to prove to his father how good he would be. After the man’s death, the discipline remained and the need of approval now is aimed to the Raikage. This perfectionism shows itself in various things. From the symmetrical way he ties his shoelaces to measuring the margin by hand to make sure any official documents he writes are aligned correctly. Despite this, he’ll accept the fact that perfection cannot always be attained. Various variables can determine the outcome of a mission, such as team members or environmental factors. Natsu has learnt from experience that he cannot control everything, but attempts to limit that necessary evil where he can.

His large time spent studying various subjects and engaging in discussions, mostly political, with his father and tutors, but also during in his time in the Capital, have also granted him with a rather large knowledge base, and considerable persuasive skills. While he will not attempt to brag about this by telling people trivial bits of knowledge or boast about receiving such advanced education from early age, he will not hide it should people ask. In a way, he figures it’d make people uncomfortable; A superstition he picked up from reading the wrong kind of manga.
Nevertheless, knowledge is a very important thing to Natsu. His father had once told him ‘knowledge equals power’. Natsu had come to conclude in his time at College that that was partly true. Knowledge allowed for power to be gained, but in the end, it was power which equaled power. One could be had without the other. Natsu strives for a balance between the two, though his up bring has left him with a greater thirst for knowledge. Knowledge left unstudied is a waste in the eyes of the Chunin.

While only experienced social contact since he was 12, his lack of social skills have been fully remedied by now. This is largely thanks to his extensive experience in covert missions and diplomacy. Where before he was worried about coming across as odd or aloof, he now fully embraces social contact and plays it out as much as he can. The many political debates have turned him wary however. Though he is fully versed in the political word games, a straight-to-the-point attitude from his comrades is often a refreshing and welcomed change. On the complete opposite end, a skilled manipulator who can push him to the edge of his skills and forces him to reconsider each word and action is a challenge Natsu rarely finds and thus highly treasures.

He doesn't detests fighting, though he'll generally try to negotiate with his opponents first. If he can't convince them to stop from partaking in violence, he'll try to end the battle as swiftly as possible, not hesitant about using his strongest skills and abilities or even his bloodline traits. Those last have grown rather natural to him, and he's even become rather adapt at making small figurines out of his own bones, usually based on things he has read in books or observes in everyday life.

As far as political views are concerned, Natsu firmly believe that the Raikage is the one true leader of the Village and is responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of Kumogakure and the Lightning Country as a whole. The Shinobi serving under him are to be regarded as tools to be used at the man’s discretion. A long ago conversation with the Raikage Hayata Shin had left him debating this point of view, though he still holds firm to the belief that Shinobi are tools. While he can show himself a true comrade to those he’s come to fully trust, he has learned of the need to mercilessly pull the switch.

His current motivation as a Shinobi is to serve his Raikage, and would say he had been succesfully. His position as Spymaster secured him many any important contribution to the Village, and even lead him to a Sennin position, however short. Natsu believes he had disappointed his father in a way, and Natsu strives to attain an important function within the Village as a way to make up. His mother had enabled this by allowing him to become a Shinobi, and he was set on living up to the expectations of both of his parents, if not succeed them. That’s goal has been achieved, although after his medical issues the Jonin wants to make some extra effort to regain his previous importance.

The last little known fact about him is that he adores pastries, especially doughnuts, ever since he had tasted his first one on his 7th birthday. Although he usually isn't easy to convince of something he doesn't fully agree with, doughnuts sure are his weak point when it comes to blackmailing. His favorite kind of doughnut would probably be the ones with chocolate on top of them.[/fontsize]
[fontsize="11"]~ History ~[/fontsize]
[fontsize="11"]Being born to a family who considered themselves above the average citizen, Natsu grew up in quite the elitist environment. His father, Do Akumai, was a Shinobi who, after obtaining Chuunin rank and not able to advance much further, decided to turn his attention to politics. He wasn’t quite successful there either, but liked pretending that he was. Natsu’s mother, Sohan Akane, on the contrary, was a Med-Nin who, despite being fairly skilled at her role in the hospital, did not like to brag about her successes. Both did agree however that their child would have the best education and deserved to be treated as a little genius after discovering the child’s potential by some IQ tests.

This meant for Natsu that he’d spent his youth alone, without contact with other children his age, only to be surrounded by books. His father spent time with him, teaching the young boy about politics and encouraging the kid to engage in conversations to train his mind, which would be incomprehensible by most children of the same age, with some of the most renowned tutors of Kumo.

His mother had little say in the education, as Do Akumai claimed it to be a man’s job once the child had grown past the age of 3. Whenever the women was allowed some time with her child, she instructed him in some Shinobi techniques, only to be amazed by his natural aptitude for the techniques. She didn’t dare tell her husband, afraid he’d become even more frantic with pushing the kid, and giving her less time with him and so the years went on, until Natsu was 11.

Though he still was far ahead of the children of the same age in terms of gathered knowledge, he wasn’t the prodigy from the years before. The intensive education had worn him out it seemed, and his father, usually so proud and quick to brag about his son lost all interest in him. He no longer spent as much time with him, nor could Natsu find the look of approval in his father’s eyes anymore. The man decided that his career now should be given more attention than his son, who did not have what it took after all, and the boy once more returned to his mother’s care.

She did not hesitate and quickly instructed her son even more of the Shinobi techniques, now that she was free to take care of the boy in any way she saw fit. The boy however, missed the one thing that had been constant throughout his entire life thus far: he missed the praise of his father, and grew more restless by the day. His mother always found a way to soothe him though, usually by convincing him he’d earn the love of his father back if he could show his growth in the Ninja Arts.

Before Natsu would be given the chance to redeem himself in his father’s eyes however, the man passed away due to a heart failure. The Med-Nin who had been taking care of him claimed the cause to be too much stress. The boy, hopes and dreams shattered, fell into a state of unbelievable anger, in which he unlocked the traits of his bloodline. Bones bursting through his skin, causing incredibly strain on his body, the boy fell into a coma lasting about a week. The sudden release of chakra had caused even more strain to his mind, and had caused him to collapse. Natsu doesn’t remember this outburst, his mind having it unconsciously sealed from him.

The coma was also was an opportunity his mother took to study the blood of her child, quickly discovering that the both of them had a link to the Kaguya family. Though the fact that its genes had been passed down through so many generations, and seemingly unnoticed at that, was quite amazing, she decided not to let it go to waste and enrolled the boy into the Academy where he quickly passed the Genin exams. His training with his mother without a doubt had played a big role in that, but he surprised his superiors even more by just as swiftly passing his Chunin exam as well.

Two months after his promotion to Chunin, Natsu was sent on an undercovermission to the capital city Raiden’s Eye where he acted as student at one of the it’s universities. The mission served mostly as a means to get more forces into the capital in case the unrest of Prince Shiro's murder, which had been growing for the last 5 years prior to the mission, escalated into Raiden no Me. After having received the all-green to return to Kumogakure to continue his work as Chunin in Kumogakure’s direct service, Natsu returned to full-on duty.
During his time in the Main Branch, he took on the role of Spymaster. This allowed him to build an expansive network of spies, infiltration agents and information brokers. It also elevated him to a position right underneath the Sennin Takaki Masao and got him to work closely with the then-Head Ambassador Tanaka Hikari. During this track he took on several missions, most notably a diplomatic mission to secure an alliance with Kirigakure, joined by Shima Haruka. This also started off Natsu’s romantic interest in the woman.
He was also fully involved in the Kingslayer arc, attending discussions with Bear representatives to track down the notorious band and their leader Enishi. The final battle ended with the death of his close friend and mentor, Takaki Masao who promoted him to Main Branch Sennin before giving his life. Upon his return, Natsu assumed the mantle given to him but was felled by a thyrotoxic crisis. This left him comatosed for nearly 4 years.

He will be coming back to some really hard times. He lost the Sennin position, most of his former intelligence contacts and friends have either died or moved on, Masao is dead, and unfortunately, so is Shima Haruka. In fact, she's officially died a traitor at the hands of Akira, despite Haruka having been the first elected Raikage ever. The political landscape has changed as well, with tensions rising with Bear and the overwhelming popularity of the Tenouzan blood church and its legions of fanatics. Cloud village is slowly wasting away with the advent of gunpowder warfare and shinobi numbers are dwindling daily.[/fontsize]

Their ability reflects their bloodlust, their gruesome power allowing the Kaguya to reshape and grow bones within their body to whichever shape they deem fit. Because of their morbid abilities and bloodlust, it is said that the Kaguya are a clan of demons, each one born as a living weapon destined for a life of violence. It is almost unheard of for a Kaguya to reach an old age and die a natural death, their clan believing that the only suitable death is to die in the midst of combat...among a sea of their slain enemies.

Dance of the Seedling Fern - Bone Forest Ninjutsu
The most fearsome technique to the Kaguya clan, but also the most taxing. This ability allows the Kaguya to flow a vast amount of calcium into the ground, supercharged with their chakra and kekkai genkai. This rapidly spreads across a large area, and from there condenses into countless spines of sharp bone. Upon use, this appears as if a pale white forest of bones shoots from the ground, impaling all those nearby. From this point, the bone spires remain on the battlefield and give the Kaguya the unique ability to merge and transfer themselves freely between spines. Though powerful, this skill drains the Kaguya heavily of their vitality, often enough to cause coughing of blood.

Rank 1: Creates a vast forest of bone the covers the nearby region. All within the battle must make checks against 9 Trees, but may only be hit by 6. Trees each deal 680 Damage at -2 Accuracy. Rank 3: Creates a vast forest of bone the covers the nearby region. All within the battle must make checks against 13 Trees, but may only be hit by 8. Trees each deal 630 Damage. Each tree reduces the targets Accuracy and Dodge by -.5, but this only stacks up to -3. Tree's and debuffs last for three rounds, upon which they disintegrate.

- This may only be buffed by Physical, Non-Weapon Buffs.[/fontsize]
