Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Yuudai whistled as he tossed a pebble up in the air, watching it arc before catching it in his palm again. There was no deeper philosophy or thought behind the act; the blonde boy was simply bored, and that was all. He had an appointment here in the commercial district, made with an old classmate... And now, his teammate. After they had learned they would be making up a ninja tag team, Yuudai had offered the girl to go grab a coffee with her in the city proper. The agreement was to show up somewhere in the afternoon, but Yuudai had been there since lunch.

Of course, performance anxiety meant that the boy had showed up much earlier than necessary. Better to be early and have to amuse himself in the heart of the Village Hidden in the Sand than be late and face the music for his late appearance. Of course, amusing himself was easier said than done, especially with the limited means of a low-level genin. He had quit his side-job on graduation, meaning he couldn't really go on a wild shopping spree until he actually sacked up, gathered his stuff and his partner, and went out to go do an actual mission.

And before long, Yuudai got distracted by a nearby clock. Soon, the blonde boy found himself in front of the cafe they had decided to meet at. He took a deep breath, pushing that nervousness about meeting her aside. They'd been classmates, but never the best of friends... Working together would be a whole new experience.

Miyushi wakes up in a jolt in the middle of her atelier, a sweaty mess. Had she inhaled a product that knocked her out good? Been hypnotised by a fellow genin?!

No, she just had stayed up until the wee hours of the morning and simply passed out from the fatigue, as she is wont to do. Groggily she wakes up and goes through her morning routine. After a good bath (which never really scrubs away the smells of the stronger chemicals, a sweetly sick scent), the girl had a nagging sensation at the back of her head. Was she... forgetting something?

Looking outside, she realizes it's already late afternoon, probably soon enough time for dinner. Looking in the pantry, she realizes it's empty. Maybe she should go to the market. Why does she feel like she's forgetting something...? Soon dressed, even sliding on her genin equipment because one can never be too prepared, she heads out of her atelier and locks the door behind herself, thinking about what she'd get herself for dinner. She didn't *feel* ramen, but that's probably all she can afford, is it?

Now the nagging sensation was even more intense. Until, finally, with her slow methodical step, her eyes cross with that of Yuudai. Him likely looking like he was ready to leave or something. She freezes on the spot, like a deer in a headlight. What day were they today? Ah, yes. She... completely forgot. Lucky for her, shame is not in her dictionary, and she slowly struts closer to him, a half-smirk on her lips.

"Hey, I didn't let you wait too long, I hope.", she casually comments, as if brushing aside the fact she was a few hours late to the meeting...

Had he come on the wrong day? Dear gods, he hoped not. That would be embarrassing. He could've used today for more interesting things than walking through town kicking rocks. He looked around to find a couple of girls his age looking at him and chatting to each other as they continued glancing at him. Probably thought he got stood up at a date or something. Yuudai groaned. What a kick to his image, that would be. He spent quite a bit of his time trying to make sure people thought of him as some kind of cool and chill guy. Damn, now the word would spread.

He was already considering just heading home by the time he made eye contact with Miyushi. Yuudai froze in place much the same as Miyushi, maintaining eye contact, just staring in sheer amazed confusion when the girl looked... well, he could see in her eyes that she was trying to compute the situation. Yuudai just let out a small sigh when Miyushi approached. He wasn't sure he liked that smirk of hers, but at least she was there now.

"Yeah, hey..." Yuudai replied, running a hand through his hair and finding that calm smile again. No need to get upset - she was here now. "Nice of you to finally show up, Hajikano-san. Got lost on the way here?" he asked, teasing her with her lateness. "Ah, or should that be Miyushi-chan now. We are teammates, after all." he added, looking her over as he rubbed his chin. Sheesh, he almost forgot she was taller than him.

Approaching him, his nostrils are likely assaulted by her peculiar smell. It wasn't unpleasant per say, but it was almost ticklish, something soap could never quite scrub off. Her eyes merely roll at his comment, and the smirk grows into a more genuine smile. 'Chan', eh? No one really called her that before, unless it was to tease her.

"Yuu-kun'll do then, I suppose.", replies the lanky tall girl. Who's idea was it anyway to get some coffee? She can't even remember. It doesn't sound like something *she'd* do, so it must be Okabe's idea. She tries to wrap an arm around his shoulder, with little comprehension about the concept of personal space, followed by a deep yawn. Either she's already bored, or already exhasuted. Or she's just using him as a convenient support to stand. An assault of mixed signals, really. It's not helped by the fact she adjusts her tie, as if it was choking her, loosening it just a bit.

"So I know we talked about coffee, but I'm starving, *Yuu-kun*."
