Shouyu Hoshi, joyfully trotting down the town streets with a jump in his step and smile on his face. He was on another E Rank mission yet again! Yes, he felt these tasks rather tiresome and some even quite boring, but at his age and rank this was all he could do for the village. And so the young boy marched on willfully accepting his duty. After all, amidst all this life style he would have discover his own nindo. His ninja way. Along the way so far the friends he has made were strange but well worth his trust and admiration. Everyone here had spirit, and Shouyu himself sure had a lot too!
In the Seki district yet again he came across the villagers who requested aid. Hoshi spoke with them briefly. They were well prepared as they consistently stressed, far behind scheduled. Quick head nods could be seen by the young shinobi along with a rather, serious look on his face. Like he had said before, these missions were tedious yes, but one day he hoped to serve the Raikage and take orders from the Kage directly. And that meant getting any and every job down, to the T!
He was handed a long list that he scanned up and down, back and forth, a few times, before putting it down and giving one last look at the villagers. His serious face calmed and smoothed out to a gentle smile. This was accompanied by a thumbs up gesture with his left hand. Another brief exchange of dialogue and Hoshi had turned away to get started on his mission. The villagers were waving and he was racing out to the grass lands. It was easy for him to pin point each ingredient and chop it up, just above the root.
He was now carrying several bags with several different ingredients in them, finally rallying up the last bit, but one particular spice was difficult to find. He searched, fast maybe too fast and he was skipping over it. Come to look at it, there was a note by this ingredient that read, ’This peculiar spice is foreign to Kumogakure. You will not find it in the forest. Go to the old man’s shop, a few vendors before my own. He sells the spice in bulk and for a good price. I will reimburse you the amount when the job is done.’
”Ahh… Of course, Old Man has got everything there. Ehn, how did I miss that from the jump?”
He shrugged and headed back to the village making sure to stop by the shop and buy the final ingredient for the festival. When he had returned it sure did look festive and on scheduled as he bum rushed by employees and coin. The villagers thanked him vigorously, bowing and cheering of praise, Shouyu would only smile and wave back. With the shop owner he exchanged some final words. He revealed the receipt and received his reimbursement, high fived the man and was off.
