Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Character's physical Description: Amaya is a taller-than-average for her age, 168cm to be exact. She's lean with defined muscle in her lean arms and legs and wears bandages on all her limbs. There's no reason for this and which limbs are coated seem to change on a day-to-day basis. She usually wears a short top with a sash containing a series of kunai along with short shorts, both articles of clothing being the same light pink shade. She has naturally light-pink hair that's cut into a spiky style to keep out of the way of her face, and her eyes shimmer with a very VERY pale blue- practically grey.

And to top it all off, she wears a pair of pale blue gloves and a pair of simple wooden sandals. And, of course, a long katana is always on her person. When not held, the sash connected to the bottom of the blade wraps around the sharp edge in order to keep it from cutting the girl's exposed skin. The blade is incredibly long (110 CM) and the handle is nothing but some linen wrappings around a wooden cylinder.

Mental Description: A bit of a troublemaker, Amaya has a need to fill her days with distractions. Suffering from PTSD and survivor's guilt. she's prone to lashing out easily when threatened or provoked and pushing others away emotionally despite not wanting to. She wants nothing more than to sit on a rooftop with a friend and take turns throwing rocks at passerby, but at any point she could simply push that person away....

Hence her main problem. She believes that due to some curse, her own mental state, and inability to help others, she's unworthy of what she longs for. Companionship, trust, joy...maybe even love.

So to ignore these empty feelings, she trains alone in an empty home. No goals, no reason to move forward...she just happens to keep moving along, and She's okay with that.

History:
Born to the now-destroyed Wamuro clan, Amaya knew only 'duty'. Her old clan was ruthless in their beliefs and children who disobeyed were publicly punished in front of every other member. Their home on the very outskirts of the land of wind, the clan was mostly ignored by the government of Suna meaning that above all else they could continue their sick rituals.

The Wamuro Clan possessed the blood of the Nanjirou, despite that connection being diluted after waves of inbreeding followed by bringing in too many outsiders to keep the genetic mutations to a minimum. But, no matter what, they had to uphold their duty.

"TO KEEP THE GREAT HUNGERER AT BAY" was their destiny. A demonic spirit said to be able to eat the very moon and long-feared among the clan, it now resides within the blade of whoever is deemed the head of the clan, but for years Amaya had no clue what it meant to be clan head. None of the youth did. They seemingly changed who was clan head at random with the previous one dying mysteriously and suddenly along with chunks of the clan's population. There was no single "head family" or even a system of voting.

Perhaps Amaya would have been better off not knowing how this process was completed. When the most recent clan-head died of old age, Amaya awoke one day within what the family called "The Room of Harmony". A forbidden but empty room within the clan home...

Along with every other youth her age within her clan. She was 12 years old when this happened and what followed could only be described as hell.

Randomly the walls of the room would open to reveal tubes that would shoot poisoned darts into the necks of the children. Drugged vapors rose from the ground, and hooded figures would randomly walk in to force-feed the children even more drugs.

Psychodelic, sensory enhancing, pain-inducing, mind accelerant, you name it. It was no wonder that the children of the clan began to die from the overexposure.

It took 68 hours for it to end. No water, no food, only constant and unbearable pain and sensory overload. But, eventually, she was the last one alive. Blood running from her mouth and nose, body permanently warped and damaged from the most potent body-enhancing drugs, and her once brilliant blue eyes becoming faded and dull...she had been broken. But, she was the survivor.

She was declared clan head the next morning, unable to even speak from the experience. only listening to what she was told and vacantly listening to the elders of the clan...that's all she was. A puppet. A vessel for the demon within the sword to destroy others. She understood that. But it took another year and a half before she was free.

Eventually a ninja from sand had finally checked in on them as they prepared another "cleansing" of the youth, intending to kill off the unresponsive Amaya in the process.

The resulting carnage when word got back to Suna was absolutely devastating.

Only the children were spared, as all the adults knew of these sick rituals, and what followed was several years of therapy and rehabilitation for all who had undergone "The Cleansing". And the Wamuro clan was no more.

The talented among them were welcomed into Suna's ninja force while the rest were adopted and raised as civilians. Amaya was no exception, beginning the academy with her cursed sword right when deemed mentally suitable.

The academy was a breeze for her, passing with flying colors....but now she's a genin. No goals. No passion. Only a broken husk of a child with nowhere to go, and nothing to do.

I'ma be real, I was kinda high while writing half of this. There's so many grammatical and spelling issues so I'll rewrite it.

History:
Born to the now-destroyed Wamuro clan, Amaya was raised to understand the meaning of "Duty". It was a major factor of the clan, as they all had a single purpose in life. To keep a powerful evil spirit, "The Great Devourer", sealed within the family blade. The one to wield it was declared the clan-head, and any others who attempted to touch the weapon were killed by the family claiming that they were possessed.

But, clan heads never lasted. Hardly any died of old age, and they seemingly vanished out of thin air along with a sizable chunk of the clan's numbers.

They only got away with it because they were so secluded in the outskirts of wind country...."The Cleansing". A Ritual done with a group of individuals to sort the strong from the weak. And sadly, Amaya took part in it at the age of 12.

It was hell. She was put into "The Room of Harmony" within her home along with all of her direct friends and family within her age group. And steadily, they were consistently and forcefully poisoned and drugged to the point of death. One after the other dropped like flies as the sounds of nails scraping against wood assaulted the ears and the scent of blood began to rise as the eyes, noses, and mouths of those within the room began to bleed.

3 straight days of this. 3 days of poisoned needles flying from the walls, drugged vapors rising from the floorboards, and armed ninja of the clan force-feeding pills to them. But Amaya survived, lost in a state of mental disconnection. She was a husk, but she was a survivor. Her body was slightly warped from the family's signature drugs, making her more prone to the emotions of others as well as modifying the muscles in her body. Both of which were needed to wield the family blade and keep it in check.

The elders of her clan then gave her the family's blade, along with the knowledge that they were of fading Nanjirou descent- which is why this ritual took place. Only those with the family's bloodline could wield the blade, and those who didn't were to die within "The Cleansing".

After just under a year, the elders still couldn't get Amaya to become responsive. She rarely talked, barely ate, and would sit still staring at nothing for hours at a time. So they deemed her unworthy, and the preparations to select another clan-head began. Except, now there was a rat within the clan. A man named "Wamuro Jibo".

With him leaking the information to Suna, the resulting massacre of the clan's adults was swift and without mercy.

Amaya was sent into therapy along with any other children who happened to suffer through the cleansing ritual, and any able-bodied children from the clan were inducted into the shinobi academy of Suna while the rest were adopted and included into the population of Suna.

Amaya eventually became responsive again, but not without developing severe bouts of depression, panic attacks, and anger. But despite this, she still went on to join the academy and passed with flying colors utilizing her family's blade.

And now she's a Genin. No purpose, no motivation...the only thing she ever questions is where this "Jibo" person eventually went, having not seen him in years. But truthfully, Amaya didn't care. The man had saved so many people, and she'd like to thank him....but she should fix herself before deciding what life goals to set.
