NPC Type: dnpc
Name: Motomori Tia
Relation to Eiji: Mother
Gender: Female
Age: 42
Position/Rank: Clan Leader/Matriarch
Description: Tia is a very stern woman and a natural leader. She is very successful and strong willed who rarely fails. During her time as clan leader, she has proved herself as one of the strongest clan leaders they've ever had. Along with her hard nature, Tia is very religious, believing strongly in the doctrine of her deity.
Her features are beautiful but so stony in expression it's hard to see. She's tall for a woman, almost 5'9" and moderate weight. Her physique is surprisingly good despite having had 15 children in her 42 years. Like all of those in the main line, she has brown hair, tannish skin and crystal blue eyes. Although she was never trained as a shinobi, Tia also has acidic blood, the crystal formations and a strong family connection or 'itch' with her children and brothers and sisters.
History: Tia was a strong willed, bright girl. She was taught from a young age the ways of becoming a leader and was the clear choice of all her siblings. Her quick mind and strong leadership abilities made her stubborn and sometimes, overly secure about her own decisions; she thought she was right all the time. This led her into trouble more than once, and even ended up getting people killed.
When Tia turned 14, she was married to Natu, a kind man older than she. He was her 3rd cousin, but they'd never interacted before. He was a weak man though, easily overpowered and intimidated. She felt no love for him and sour she was forced for such a man. In her disgust, her eyes wandered. She compared him to all others she was around and found him lacking. In particular she found her older half-brother, Ijiiji a man of worth. They had grown up together but most of it meant little to her now. They were childhood days!
He was tall, handsome, strong and skilled. He moved with the sleekness of a panther. She was sad after the loss of her first child but delighted when she was expected to breed with him. For certain her first living child would be a great one with him as sire. What she hadn't expected was the way he touched her, as if she were a goddess and the way he spoke to her. He left her feeling small and protected, as a woman should feel. She FELT something for him. But the feeling 'love' didn't come for much longer.
She enjoyed their time together, even named her firstborn after him of sorts. She saw him regularly, at first enjoying his company then later.. truly falling in love with him. The titles brother and sister were blurred for the Motomori. You were raised understanding something different than everyone else so when she fell in love, it didn't feel perverse or wrong. But they were found out and stopped, yet she in her heart remained faithful to him.
It was Natu who had found them and angry with them for their wrongly acts, and his own jealousy for her affections, turned them in.
Eventually they were allowed to couple again, since their first had been such a successful mesh and they bore a daughter together. Upon his request, they named her Aika in honor of their 'love song'.
Tia came into power at 29, a year after Eiji and Aika left the compound secretly. After the loss of her children she searched high and low for the lost ones, offering rewards for those who found them. She never thought her young son and infant daughter would be allowed into the Sand Village itself, being she thought him frail and the village skeptical of two children coming to their gates, and even after a few small trial investigations into Sunagakure turned up fruitless, the new matriarch stopped trying there.
After several years of looking it was presumed Eiji and her daughter, Aika, were dead and the searches were cut back to almost nothing. There was still an open reward for any bounty hunters who could find out about their deaths. Her hope was gone, but not her vengeance. Not only did she lose her children, but the hidden kinjutsu scrolls containing the dark sage techniques had been taken with her son. It was for that reason she thought them dead; someone must have stolen her firstborn and young daughter when stealing the scrolls, probably for leverage. Or maybe Eiji had been forced to steal them and whoever it was that made him had taken Aika as leverage against Eiji. Whatever the reason, the pain of losing them and the loss of the scrolls caused Tia to become a hard and unforgiving type of person. She also felt abandoned by her long time lover, Ijiiji who had turned from her as a recluse.
Her reign as matriarch was stern. All were forced to follow the clan rules and all outsiders were looked upon as unsafe and wrong.
