Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Chi was usually equipped with a map when travelling around the village. She required it most of the time as she perceived Suna to be a land of mazes, subterranean buildings all matching with no ounce of information to guide her. While her uncle regularly made sure to provide her with a readable map on her way to school and back home, today she had lost the item on her way homewards. She was convinced that something or rather somebody had stolen it and attempted to look for the thief. Even so, it didn't improve her situation any further. In fact, she had successfully gotten off the trail and entered a completely different route while looking for this thief. Not giving up, she had made matters worse and decided to take a 'shortcut'. In the end, she inevitably discovered herself in an entirely different district.

The building was huge, strangely futuristic even. Chi had never witnessed something so precocious in her life before. Earlier she found herself panicking at the thought of never coming back home, however now, she was quite mesmerized. It wasn't just the large towers she perceived fine, it was the exterior of it. As she slowly made her way towards the structure, she inspected the surroundings of it. Despite the advancement of the place, she disregarded the thought of exploring it as it seemed to be too far away. Instead, she stopped in the midst of an empty large field. She glimpsed around to see if anybody was in eyesight before reaching a decision. The grounds were perfect for training and considering the girl was pretty much lost, a bit of shuriken practice wouldn't hurt. Right?

Shoving her hand in her uncle's pouch at her waistbelt, she carefully picked out two shurikens. Placing them separately in each of her palms, she pulled her legs together before shutting her eyes in concentration. Taking her stance, she listened to her surroundings, to the slight wind blowing, to the grass beneath her feet. It was empty. Empty and perfect. Taking a deep breath, she threw the two shurikens in the air before placing her hands together. Initiating a few hand signs, the sealing didn't succeed. Just like that time at the Academy. How unpleasant, she thought to herself. In another attempt, she relaxed her posture and put less effort into the movements of her fingers. It was quite odd how this method usually helped her, but it did. Listening closely, she heard the 'poof' of smoke in the air and concluded it had worked successfully. It was when her confidence got the best of her that she alarmingly remembered that she was to catch them before they struck her. And in a feeble attempt, she quickly held out her hands as her eyes opened to look up. What the. Had she not come to her senses and quickly dodged them, they would have cut her face right in the middle. Her reflexive, backwards bounce saved her head from almost getting struck and as she rushed to catch her breath, her eyes darted on the shuriken now pushed into the earth. What had surprised her and almost killed her was the size they had grown into. Chi had never achieved such results before. The iron weapons were now twice her size and looked quite heavy. She doubted she could even pick one up.

Carefully, the black-haired girl picked herself up from the ground, dusted her clothes off and approached the shuriken fixated to the terrain. She carefully placed her fingers around the round handle in the corner of the blade and pulled. Chi's shurikens were customized to suit her style of combat. They weren't held by the round handle in the middle like a fuuma shuriken. While they did have a grip in the centre, the main way to hold one was through the circle handles carved in each of the blades. As Chi focused her chakra to ease the weight she pulled, the shuriken was removed from the ground. She had limited time to proudly examine it before it resized to its initial state along with the next shuriken. She had to learn to maintain their large sizes for more than a few minutes in order to enter combat with them. As for the time being, she was quite pleased with the new size she had managed.

With a faint smile, Chi carefully placed the shurikens back into her pouch before she felt a rough piece of paper at the tips of her fingers. Curiously, she shuffled through the pocket and pulled out whatever it was before her face turned into that of a surprised expression. It was the map! Apparently, it had been in her pouch, all along. Feeling stupid yet quite relieved, Chi made her way back to her original route and set on her path back home. Her uncle was gonna hear about her new achievement, and he was gonna be very proud!
