Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It was once again time for a lesson from Kumomi. She had just taught a class on Chakra Manipulation last week but this week was going to be outside of Kumomi's norm. Today she actually wore something rather unusual for her. A tighter uniform was draped on her body. A dark grey long sleeved shirt was worn over a pair of black satin gloves with her light pick hijab covering the collar. Her bottom half was covered with what could be described as flared black pants and a pair of black combat boots. Her clothing also seemed to be slightly tattered as if seeing combat in the years they have been with the woman. Today, something even more unusual, Kumomi had no makeup on. Her natural dark skin wasn't contoured and the natural sheen was visible for it wasn't dwarfed by varying powders. Her lips lacked her trademark plum colour and there was no golden shimmer above her green eyes. A red headband was tied loosely around her waist and her mission gear was strapped to her back. Three scrolls laid horizontally on her pack along with two belt pouches hanging underneath them. On her leg was a small storage holder that was also filled with gear. She looked combat ready.

Her room today was actually already cleared of all desks, the academy wouldn't allow her to have them anymore due to the destruction of property done last week. Kumomi didn't care. She let out a sigh and sat on the only desk in the room, the teacher's desk. There she would wait for her students to arrive. She was excited to see young Ken and Ayame once again. She felt like this time Ken may have the advantage over Ayame, but who knew? Only time would tell.

Kyo weaved through the crowd with practiced easy as he headed for the academy, ready for the today's lesson. His dark blue hair spiked in all directions, and he had dark bags under his eyes courtesy of some late night reading. Pulling the hood of his desert robe further down over his face, he tried in vain to hide his haggard appearance. He just hoped his tiredness wouldn't affect his performance in class, and at that thought his facial expression became sourer.

Finally the academy was in view, and he quickly entered the building. He wasn't sure what time it was, but he hoped he was on time, preferably early. When Kyo entered the classroom he was surprised at the lack of desks in the room, with the exception of the teachers desk all of them were gone. Speaking of which, he turned to observe the woman sitting on the desk, most likely the one who would be teaching the class. He noted her practical if worn attire, cataloging it in his mind. Looks like maybe we'll be doing practical work.. Perhaps sparring? Kyo thought to himself, before becoming aware that he had been staring at the woman for a few seconds without even saying anything.

"Ah, good morning." Was the delayed response, and Kyo felt proud that he managed to keep his voice flat despite awkwardness he felt. Still, he hunched slightly, sinking deeper into his light blue desert robe. Desperately he tried to smother a yawn before it could brake free, but he gave in and raised a hand to cover his mouth.

Ken stepped through the unwelcoming halls of the Academy, mind racing in anticipation of the day's activities. His last class had been a blast, he'd learned how to control chakra and felt like a real ninja for the first time in his life. He'd also pushed himself to the edge of his ability, even passing out from sheer the exertion. The young boy came away from that class stronger, with sharper knowledge and greater endurance. He couldn't help but still feel a pang of disappointment when he thought back to his father's wind affinity (Ken himself had no elemental affinity to speak of), but he had learned respect and admiration toward non-elemental chakra. It was powerful and had diverse uses. Of particular interest to Ken was the medical jutsu his instructor had used to heal him and Ayame in the last class. It seemed to be exceedingly useful, and the boy would love to be able to heal himself and others in a pinch. Making a mental note to talk to his teacher about medical jutsu later, the boy entered the classroom.

"Don't worry everyone, Ken has arrived!" Ken proclaimed as he entered, his trademark goofy grin plastered across his face. The boy chuckled at his own silliness, then bowed respectfully to his instructor. "It's great to see you again, teach." He noted Kumomi's attire. It was quite different from what she was wearing during their first class. The outfit seemed to be picked for ease of movement. It was also well-worn, suggesting she expected it to see some wear and tear today. She was also not wearing as much makeup. Ken guessed that this was because the makeup would run if she were to sweat a lot. Curiously, the woman was still wearing a scarf around her head. Ken wrote it off as a fashion choice and ignored it. Regardless, it looked like physical activity was the name of the game today, and Ken was more than ready. Ninjutsu wasn't his forte, but when it came to physical challenges he was in his element. Hopefully they would be working on taijutsu, Ken had been practicing for a while and he felt confident in his abilities.

Turning to the rest of classroom, Ken was only moderately surprised to see it was devoid of desks. Last class had done a number on the school property. It was too bad, Ken had a laugh seeing the debris flying around. Standing in the midst of the empty room was another student. The boy looked older than Ken, standing about a head taller. He was gaunt, sporting a skinny frame and an underfed looking face. The boy wore a slight scowl, and looked to be in a decidedly tired mood. Ken raked his brain trying to remember the boy, and eventually was able to place him. He had never spoken to the boy, and didn't know his name, but he was another bookworm like Ayame or Ken himself. Ken smiled warmly at the boy and waved in greeting. "How's it going?" Ken asked, approaching the other student. "Is this your first day at the academy? The building is kind of lame but Miss Kumomi is a great teacher. I'm sure you'll have fun." Ken extended his hand out to the other boy, offering to shake.

Ayame entered the academy very excited to start another class with Miss Kugutsu. She had a lot of fun last week in her class, especially with Ken. She was excited to see what kind of trouble they could get into this time. She entered the academy and walked around the empty halls looking for her class. "Ah, this is it." She started to push open the door but stopped. She looked to see that this wasn't the same classroom they had before since the handle on this door was still intact. Smiling at the memory of last class, she pushed open the door. Stopping just before she entered the threshold, she noticed that there weren't any desks. She looked around the classroom and, yep, still no desks. "I guess the academy didn't like us destroying their classroom." She thought with a smile.

Finally in the room, she noticed Miss Kugutsu sitting on the only desk in the room. She seemed like she was kind of entertained by the thought of the academy denying her desks for her students. By the look of her attire, the academy probably thought it was a good idea. Her normal dress was gone, in it's place she wore light clothes best fit for movement. Her ever-present hijab still adorned her face but her lack of makeup made her seem more realistic and down to earth, although her makeup did on a different persona for her. Ayame instantly regretted walking in today. Her strong point was not in her physical strength as she focused more on ninjutsu more than anything. Her taijutsu was definitely lacking and there weren't many scrolls out there that covered much taijutsu since it was lot more physical than just in the mind. "Hello again, Miss Kugutsu. I'm looking forward to another class with you," she said as she mentally cringed.

She heard a voice speak up from her left. Looking beside her she saw Ken talking to another boy. The boy seemed quiet and awkward, much like herself. He shrunk back into himself as Ken offered his hand. The boy's hood hid his face from Ayame's view so she couldn't quite make out his expression. He appeared to be around the same height as Ayame or maybe just a hair taller. She had heard of another boy that joined the academy that always had a hood over his face. "Hello Ken! It's good to see you again." She turned to the hooded boy. "H-hello. My name is Yamamoto Ayame. Uh, I hope you have fun in this class with us." She wished that the day would come where she wasn't so awkward.

Kumomi would smile as her students slowly trickled into the room. Three students, that seemed to be her lucky number. Two of the students were with her last week but there was a kid that she did not know, nevertheless she would address them all. "Good morning class, as you may have guessed today's class will be on Taijutsu, but not only that but Stamina as well."</COLOR><i></i> Kumomi would push herself up and off of the desk and walk through the center of the students. She would make her way to the back of the room where she would touch the wall and send a surge of chakra through it. This pulsation unlocked hidden compartments which fell open and revealed hundreds of varying weapons. She turned to face her students. "To start off can you all explain to me what Taijutsu means to you. There are no wrong answers."<i></i>

She would wait for their responses before continuing. "Today we are going to be learning about the different styles of Taijutsu."<i></i> A surge of chakra flickered from the girl which caused three bokken to came from the racks and towards the students. "The first thing we are going to cover is that of swordplay. I know not everyone prefers this style of combat but we will address the others later on."<i></i> She let out a sigh before making a single handseal. As she did hundred of thousands of metallic spiders crawled from under her clothing. Three mounds began to develop, each standing opposite of the students. The mounds would condense and three clones would appear, each of them resembling the student that they faced.

"If you are all ready..."<i></i> Kumomi would raise a hand and as she did the clones would pull a bokken out of its sheath. The teacher quickly dropped her hand which caused the three clones to dart towards the children ready to strike. <COLOR color="purple">"Begin!"

Midori walked to the class room almost absentmindedly. His long hat was freshly pressed and pulled down tightly over his crown. Practically a hoodie in effect, it was by far his favorite possession. Bouncing along with each step he had no way of knowing just how far this would alienate him from his peers. ‘First class – first conquest’ He kept reminding himself.

The day had just begun, and as far as he could tell this was the only room on this level that seemed to have any life coming from it. Had he been paying any attention, he perhaps would have made out most if not all of the instructions coming from within.. But his real focus was on the crystal he carried with him. Long and penetratingly clear, the quartz spire seemed to dance through his very soul. Running the full length of his forearm it was a glorious specimen to say the least! With a chuckle he swore he saw a spark jump from within. Gods be willing he wouldn’t trip and impale himself. We’ll see.

Crossing briskly into the class-room, Midori startled with fright at the scene before him. Swinging the spire violently in a frantic flailing motion he was on his arse before he knew what hit him. Or what hadn’t hit him for that matter. Midori’s hat had slipped tightly over his brow. Roaring to his feet with embarrassment, he swung forth with increased vigor. "I shall poke you scarvy dogs!" Comical at best, the clones that had leapt forth scared the begeezus out Midori; and he was desperate not to look a fool.

Kyo turned to face the other students who had entered, one was a boy who loudly announced that 'Ken had arrived'. The boy seemed friendly enough, and Kyo shifted a bit where he stood when Ken's attention was turned to him. He gingerly shook the offered hand, noting the rough callouses on Ken's hand. Kyo made a noncommitcal noise to the boy's question, not quite sure how to respond to the boy, and decided to side step the questions by introducing himself. "I'm Takenaka Kyo, though I don't see how the 'lameness' of the building would affect my learning experience." He quirked his eyebrow slightly as he said the last part, which really he didn't see how the building's appearance would affect that. In fact it was in much better condition than his apartment, and most of the buildings, back in the Grand Palais.

His attention was turned to the girl however when she spoke to Ken, and then to Kyo himself. He inclined his head in her direction as a greeting, trying (and probably failing) to keep a pleasant facial expression. If her stuttering was any indication she was probably nervous, and he had no wish to make her more so even if he probably wasn't the best to diffuse what he personally thought of as an awkward situation. "Takenaka Kyo, and I suppose so." He shrugged a bit, before adding. "Though I'd rather learn something useful than have fun." Which after he said it probably wasn't the right thing to say, but it was true enough. Still... "But yes, having fun would be nice?" It sounded more like a question when he said it than a statement when he said it to his two fellow students. There, at least he'd made an effort to be nice.

Finally the teacher began talking, who from what Ken had said was named Kumomi, and Kyo watched with rap attention as she revealed a hidden compartment in the wall. The weapons were impressive, but he was torn away from them as he focused on her question. What was taijutsu to him? He could give a textbook answer, but that wouldn't necessarily convey what it was to him personally. "Taijutsu to me... It is a way to take down your opponent using martial arts, and it does not typically require chakra so even if you are low on chakra you can still fight. It's useful and versatile." Here Kyo took a breath, and thought for a bit. "Even if you don't specialize in it, it's smart to at least be proficient in it as it can serve as a back up if you need to conserve chakra or if you're low on it." He finished with a light shrug, and inclined his head in Ken's direction to signal it was his turn to speak.

After his own, and the other two's responses Kumomi continued her lesson, and only his reflexes save him from taking a bokken to the face as he swiftly caught it. It was different than his sickle, and it felt foreign in his hands. But still it was a weapon made for slashing (though the wooden sword didn't have a sharp edge), so it couldn't be that different. However his attention was caught by the thousands of metallic spiders that poured out from underneath Kumomi's clothing, and he was tempted to take a step back to get some more space between him and the arachnids. Soon however they had formed into three clones, and at Kumomi''s signal they went on the attack.

The one resembling him rushed forward, its bokken raised to strike and Kyo moved quickly to block it. He had no time to see how the other's were doing, as he had enough to do with keeping up with his clone. The sudden sound of someone coming into he classroom, and their ensuing fall and shout distracted him for a few precious milliseconds and he paid for it. Kyo hissed in pain as the clone's bokken hit his shoulder. That's definitely going to bruise, he thought and made a grimace. Still, there was no time for any distractions. He was pushed back on the defensive, and as he moved to block the clone's attack his mind worked on how to beat it. First things first, he needed to get on the attack, then if he could manage to get the chance he could perform an overhead strike. It would probably not be as smooth as a movement with his bokken as it would be with his sickle, but it would work. The clone came at him again, but this time instead of blocking the bokken with his own he sidestepped the clone, and used its own momentum to get behind it. His overhead strike was a bit clumsy, but it did the trick and it severed the clone's sword arm from its body. Another strike and it was down for the count.

WC: 824
Technique used: Overhead Strike

OOC: Hope that fight scene was okay, not used to writing them to be honest but I tried my best. I'm not sure if a bokken would count as a weapon with slashing type damage, but I'm assuming it's not that important since this isn't a modded fight.

The hooded boy grunted evasively and gave his name as "Takenaka Kyo." He remarked that the building being lame wouldn't affect his ability to learn, prompting Ken to shrug in response. The academy was cold and callous, doing little to provide a welcoming atmosphere for learning. If it didn't affect Kyo, however, Ken had no reason to push the issue. As he spoke another student entered the classroom. Turning to see who it was, Ken was happy to realize it was Ayame. The boy waved excitedly at his friend as she introduced herself to Kyo. Kyo returned the favor, countering her comment about having fun with a pragmatic statement. He did concede that having fun would be nice, though he didn't exactly seem sure about it. "That's the spirit, buddy!" Ken exclaimed, clapping his new friend on the back. The introductions completed, Kumomi spoke out to the assembled students. She confirmed that they would indeed be practicing their taijutsu today, using her chakra to open a hidden compartment in the wall. The wall opened, revealing an impressive array of weaponry. She then asked each student to explain what taijutsu meant them. She added that there were "no wrong answers," a sentiment that Ken certainly didn't agree with.

Kyo spoke first, giving an accurate account of the use and utility of taijutsu. "I don't know about no wrong answers..." Ken began once Kyo had finished giving his answer, "I could think of a few answers that would be dead wrong. Kyo's answer was a good definition, but I would probably add that taijutsu also involves the use of chakra and techniques to enhance the body's ability. To me personally, taijutsu is about breaking limits. A shinobi's body is their most important tool, and using taijutsu you can perform superhuman feats of martial and physical ability far beyond that of your average civilian." Satisfied with his answer, Ken waited for Ayame to speak and then turned his attention back to his instructor. The girl used her chakra to lob a trio of wooden swords at her students. Ken caught his deftly, twirling the bokken around in his fingers before giving it an experimental swing. He wasn't usually one for swordplay, but the weapon was light and easy to maneuver; He didn't see himself having in trouble utilizing it. He wondered which of his classmates he would be sparring with, and was given an answer in the form of Kumomi's clone technique. Three piles of mechanical spiders formed from the creatures hiding in his instructor's clothing, and they merged together to create doppelgangers of the three students.

On his instructor's mark Ken dropped back into a defensive stance. The boy took a single step backwards with his left foot, angling the armed side of his body toward his advancing opponent. He crouched slightly, weight bouncing minutely on the balls of his feet. Ken's two hands gripped the the hilt of his wooden training sword, though his right hand was the predominant controlling force. The blade faced upward, tilted at a slight angle. In this position it could protect Ken's face, but could also be easily shifted to block blows from a variety of angles. Despite not being as practiced in kenjutsu as he was in hand to hand combat, the basics of defensive technique transcended media. Whether one was using an axe or a bow-and-arrow, a strong defense was something that could be applied universally. This was Ken's strategy of choice when it came to combat.

As he shifted into position, Ken noticed a newcomer entering the classroom... And promptly falling flat on his behind. Ken couldn't help but let out a jolly guffaw at the boy's slip, but he didn't have time to engage the newcomer; Ken observed his clone opponent coming for him, brandishing its own bokken. It seemed that Ken's double did not share in his defensive strategy, because its immediate action was to attack. Ken held his ground as the copy approached, carefully studying its movements as it whipped its wooden sword at his body. There was no deception or nuance to this opening attack. In this instance the attacker would have to rely on solidly outclassing their opponent physically if they wished to get a hit in. Blocking the strike was trivially easy, Ken not even bothering to move his stance. The boy shifted his bokken to meet his opponents, applying enough force to stop the incoming attack cold. The clone didn't stop there, however, following up its initial attack by whipping the sword around for a strike at Ken's opposite side. This maneuver left the combatant wide open for counterattack, and Ken seized this opportunity. The boy pitched forward, driving his shoulder into the clone's chest and knocking them off balance. Attack effectively nullified, the clone could only block as Ken followed his tackle with a sword thrust at its stomach. Ken's bokken was batted aside just in time, and the boy leaped back nimbly to avoid counterattack.

The battle reset, Ken noted that his opponent was no longer blindly dashing in for an attack. Instead the clone eyed Ken warily, and Ken supposed that it was going to test his offense this time. The boy switched to a one handed grip, his off hand back away from his opponent to provide a counterbalance for the blade in the opposite arm. Ken took this time to take a closer look at the newcomer to to classroom. The new student was small, shorter even than Ken himself. The shorty had fallen over in surprise at the clones attacking the 3 kids, but he seemed to recover quickly and tried to relieve the awkwardness with a joke. Ken smiled at the boy's silly outburst. He couldn't recognize the child, which was rare. Usually he at least saw other kids around the village, but the boy couldn't place this kid's appearance at all. Ken supposed he would have to spend some time getting to know this newbie. He approached his opponent carefully, inching forward with quick, controlled movements. The boy tested the clone with a few pokes of his bokken, prodding at the copy with the sword equivalent of a jab. The pokes were long range, allowing Ken to size up his adversary's defenses while keeping himself at a safe distance. With any luck, the strikes might provoke the clone into an ill-timed attack, which Ken would then be able to easily counter himself. As he did so, the boy spoke out to the newly arrived student, speaking to him without looking at him fully. "Hey, welcome to class!" Ken began. "I'd greet you properly, but as you can probably see I'm quite beside myself at the moment." The boy smiled deviously at his own joke. Almost as if it was offended by the pun, Ken's clone chose this moment to attack. After knocking a light jab away with its sword the copy stepped forward aggressively, targeting Ken with a heavy two-handed overhead strike. Ken danced to the side and avoided the blow, then immediately lunged forward with a powerful swing at the clone's torso. This time the attack struck true, and Ken felt the satisfying whap as the wooden weapon met the clone's collarbone. The attack would have likely shattered the clavicle of a human, but the clone had no bones to break.

The damage was enough, and the clone dissipated into a cloud of wriggling mechanical spiders. The battle won, Ken sighed and smiled. He really did enjoy taijutsu. The physical stress coupled with the mindgames one played with one's opponent made it a very unique experience. The boy grabbed the hem of his t-shirt with his off hand and used it to wipe the collected sweat from his brow. The activity had been a good warm-up, but he was ready for some real action now. The boy turned to the newest addition to the classroom and regarded him fully. Switching his bokken to his left hand, he offered his slightly sweaty right to his classmate. "The name's Ken. Nice to meet you!"

Ayame overheard the hooded boy introduce himself as "Takenaka Kyo" to Ken. He seemed distant and not all that friendly. His reply to Ken was a one-off statement and not exactly one that could be replied back to, as proven by Ken's shrug. He then turned to Ayame and introduced himself again. His facial expression looked forced and unnatural on his face. She wasn't sure if he was trying to look uncomfortable but if he was, this was a perfect look. After explaining that he came to this class to learn rather than enjoy himself, she couldn't help but notice how they were alike. When Ayame first came to Miss Kugutsu's class last week, she had also had the intention of only learning and not having fun but when Ken and Sora showed up and the three of them destroyed everything in the room, well, let's just say vandalism proved to be a great way of learning. Kyo must have thought that he was being rude and standoffish. He quickly mentioned how he could possibly have fun with the two of them. After his statement it became quiet for a moment, an awkward silence took over the room.

The moment was broken, thankfully, by Miss Kugutsu who asked them to explain what taijutsu meant to them. Kyo spoke up first and was quickly followed by Ken. They both had great definitions and seemed to have a well rounded understanding of the jutsu. Ayame wasn't skilled in taijutsu at all. She had read about it but books and scrolls were different than actually practicing and her lack of physical strength could definitely hurt her in this subject. "Taijutsu is the art of using one's body to fight, such as kicks and punches. Taijutsu can be paired with chakra to enhance a shinobi's fighting prowess as well as to help them in battles that have become difficult. If one's chakra is low and they find themselves unable to use ninjutsu or genjutsu, then taijutsu is still there to get them out of a pinch. A shinobi who knows their limits could easily use all three if practiced enough to know when and how to use them correctly." Ayame couldn't help but feel that she answered as if she had read out of a textbook. Reading too much definitely has its downfalls.

The sensei then walked around the room, pressing her chakra against the wall to open panels of weapons. A bokken was passed to her and she barely caught it on the tip of her fingers. Oh yeah, this class will definitely end up bad. Several mechanical spiders came from the older kunoichi and began to pile up until they formed clones of the three students. Ayame's clone had better form than her and was already in a stance with a bokken of it's own. It seemed the sensei barely gave her time to breath before she fired the clones off. She jumped back just as her clone's sword came down at her. She didn't land very gracefully and wound up on her bottom while her bokken slipped from her grasp and skidded across the floor. She barely had time to look to see where it stopped before her clone was before her, sword raised. Twisting to the side she heard the loud clap of wood strike the floor where she was.

She rolled far enough to where she was able to pick her sword back up and standing up into a basic defensive stance, she began to rack her brain for tips and offensive stances of scrolls she read in the past when she heard the classroom door open again. She didn't bother to look at who came in since her clone was stalking towards her but she heard a thud and Ken's loud laugh come from somewhere in the room. The distraction of the newcomer didn't help her to concentrate and her clone was close enough to try and strike her again. Everything went in slow motion as Ayame watched the sword go above her clone's head and start swinging back down at her. Her brain had shut down on her and she felt frozen in place. Suddenly, Ayame felt her body start to move on it's own. Acting on instinct, she felt her arms move up to meet the other sword mid air. She felt the thud in her sword reverberate down her arm as it met the opponent's. She shoved the sword back, staggering the clone, then she lunged forward swinging her sword on the right side of the midsection of her opponent. The clone stopped for a moment but Ayame didn't dare move, or breathe for that matter. The clone began to shake back to life but Ayame was quick with her actions this time. She swung around and met the base of the clones neck. With one strong swing, she was able to decapitate her opponent. The metallic spiders fell apart and clamored back to the older kunoichi.

Kumomi would raise an eyebrow at ken as his would be a little know-it-all and make the remark that there was in fact incorrect answers. She would let out a sigh and smile at him as if to say touché. She would listen to each of her students, making mental notes that the three students before her were all exceptionally smart. As the clones would dart forwards she would also take note that Kyo was at a skill level where he should be, Ken was slightly above, and Ayame was slightly below. This was about what the instructor would expect of the two she had already had in class but the newcomer made her happy. With a grin on her face the kunoichi would watch the students use their skills, whether they be instinct or learned, to fight off the clones. One by one the clones were defeated and the spiders returned back to their mistress. A fourth student entered the room, one the Mednin had yet to meet. She would take this second to welcome him to the class before progressing.

"Welcome, I am Miss Kugutsu. I am a Medical Shinobi at the Omni Prime Medical Facility and I focus on Research & Development."<i></i> She would grin for she was recently promoted in an unheard time, only being a Medic-in-Training for a few months instead of a few years. "As you may have realized the secret to swordplay is the ability to switch from offense to defense in a seconds notice. Also to keep aware of your surroundings."<i></i> She would flick her fingers pulling the Bokken back to their places in their compartments. "Along with swordplay there are numerous styles of Taijutsu that can be mastered."<i></i> She would flick her fingers and summon forth four weapons. Each weapon had ten foot long handles and a two foot wooden practice blade at the end of them. Each blade, however, looked different.
  • 1.) The first one that went to Kyo was a traditional flat blade. Two feet long and a half a foot wide this long flat blade was also accompanied by a bright red tassel that hung beside the blade and three rings that were attached in the three corresponding holes on the flat side of the blade.

2.) The second blade looked to be more advanced and went to Ken. This blade split in three directions, the center being the longest and the two accompanying it would curve slightly backwards in the shape of a crescent. This was designed in such a way that even in the pull away it was still able to attack.

3.)The third blade was rather odd and floated towards Ayame. This blade resembled and axe more than the rest of them. A single long thin spike jetted from the end which was accompanied with a curving blade on one side. This weapon also had slightly more weight than the others for the side without the blade rested a broad solid piece of would that could be used for smashing.

4.)The newcomer, Majo, would receive the last floating weapon. Similar to that of Ken's, this weapon had three blades on its head, but these three blades were almost the same length and would all aim forwards. As if resembling the weapon of gods of lore, this weapon was designed to not only pierce but to grab.
Kumomi would once again use her clone jutsu to summon replicas of the students before her. "Along with the slashing style of swordplay there is a style of piercing that can be used by a variety of spears and polearms."<i></i> She raised her hand and the four clones with matching weapons would get into a ready position. "Begin!"<i></i>

Midori pulled his hat back over his brow, and looked at the classroom for the first time. Blinking a few times, he noticed the clones were gone and he was not really under attack. He was embarrassed, but at least he learned something new. Making a mental note to tighten the brim of his hat, Midori recomposed himself. Greeted by his newfound peers and teacher – he spoke.

“Erm.. Hello, my name is Midori.” He explained

Smiling, he sheathed his crystal and looked around the room. To his surprise, every desk and chair had been removed. For all intensive purposes this could hardly be called a classroom. In fact, he would have called it a dojo if not for the large desk at the front of the room. Raising his hand, he spoke again.

“Where did everything go? Why do only you have a desk?” He asked

Before his question could be answered another set of clones sprang up. Spiders – oh how he hated spiders. His fear of the arachnids turned to adrenaline, and then anger. Just in time too as a trident style pole-arm floated into his grasp. Gripping it firmly in both hands he took a couple steps forward. Facing off against the series of clones he growled.

Tunnel vision overwhelmed him as he zoned in on the closest clone. Hefting the heavy pole-arm in both hands he marveled at the engineering that went into it. Like an enormous fork, he could see the leathal potential he now wielded. With barbs on the edges of the outer prongs you could jab and pull in the same move. Perhaps even trap ones foe against something?

‘I can do this.’ He affirmed

The time for reflection quickly passed as the clone lunged forward. Midori shoved forward with the pole-arm held in both hands. It took all his strength and a deep side lunge to get the weapon in motion, but the effort was solid. The clone side-stepped Midori’s strike with a comical ease – and his eyes widened in dismay. Using his weight to carry the momentum of his strike he tried to reverse the jab and failed. It was no use, the pole-arm was simply too heavy. Dropping the pole-arm Midori grabbed his crystal from his belt and swung hard at the clone. Briskly and with a solid ‘whap’ the crystal connected. The clone dispersed back into a flood of spiders and Midori squeaked. By the Gods he hated spiders.

“I did it! Hahaha! I did it!” He cheered

Taking a moment to himself, he did a little victory dance reminiscent of a ‘clap-trap' from some un-seen dimension. Looking to the instructor, he cleared his throat and spoke.

“I’m sorry, the fork was too heavy.. I think that I have displayed the effectiveness of bludgeoning weapons though, I’m terrible at this..” He explained

Looking back to the rest of the class he watched the mayhem unfold. It was clear that he was by far the least experienced of the bunch. He would learn in time. All in good time.

Kyo looked over at the new student, he hadn't had the opportunity to do so while fighting. The first thing that struck him was that the boy was incredibly short, almost 3 feet shorter than Kyo himself. He listened to Kumomi or perhaps Miss Kugutsu? He had heard Ken refer to her as Kumomi earlier, but as she was introducing herself as Miss Kugutsu it would probably be wiser to refer to her as that. When Midori introduced himself afterwards Kyo greeted him with a slight nod. "Takenaka Kyo." Short but succinct, he didn't know what else to say to the newcomer so he kept to simply stating his own name.

His attention was once again returned to Miss Kugutsu as she explained the essence of swordplay, and he startled slightly when his bokken was ripped out of his hands. She did however summon four new weapons, and Kyo looked over the one he had been given with interest. It was a pole-arm with a single flat blade, the rings attached to it jingled as he maneuvered it testing out its balance. He had never wielded such a weapon before, but before he had a chance to get more familiar with it Miss Kugutsi made four clones with weapons matching their counterparts. The same as before then, only with different weapons this time.

Kyo's clone rushed at him, stabbing forward with its long spear. He barely managed to dodge out of the way, and he had to dance out of the way of the clone's strikes. With a firm grip on the shaft with two hands he brought it up to block the next strike, but instead of halting the attack he got the wind knocked out of him as the clone struck him in the stomach. Fortunately he had managed to redirect some of the energy as the blade had been knocked of course by his clumsy block, but it hadn't stopped its momentum. It was already clear to Kyo that he would have to use a different tactic here as blocking the attacks proved difficult. He would have to stay out of the clone's reach, but that would mean he would be unable to launch attacks of his own.

As he continued to dance out of the clone's reach, suffering minor glancing blows at best he began noting a certain pattern to its attacks. How long it would take between each strike, finally... Got ya. He dodged the next stab, but instead of dancing further out of the clone's reach, he rushed in as it retracted the spear to make another stab at him. With a firm move he stabbed his the clone in the chest, the force of the blow dispersing it and Kyo almost fell over when it did so. Leaning on his spear he panted lightly, his spar with the clone had gone longer than he had expected. He wasn't made for straight up one on one combat, much preferring to have the upper hand either by having prepared something beforehand or by outnumbering the enemy. Not to mention he liked to weaken them with genjutsu first, he had no wish to fight fair if he couldn't help it.

"Are we going to go through every type of weapon style there is?" Kyo asked Miss Kugutsu, cocking his head curiously towards her. "First swordplay where we used slashing style, and now pole-arms and spears with piercing." He wasn't sure if he wanted his guess to be correct or not, and if so he hope to avoid unarmed combat. More often than not he hurt his hands more than he hurt those he sparred against that way. He tried to not let his displeasure at the thought show on his face, though perhaps the effort was wasted anyway. It had been clearly pointed out to him on many occasions in the past that he always looked like he was angry about something.

The sounds of combat slowly died down as each child defeated their clone. Eventually the three students had finished the activity and stood attentively waiting for their instructor's next challenge. The newcomer introduced himself as Midori. They boy's dress and weapon choice were quite interesting. He wore an odd pointed hat and wielded a length of gleaming crystal. Putting his crystal away, he inquired about the lack of desks in the room, though his question would have to wait because the next stage of the lesson was about to begin.

Kumomi introduced herself to Midori, adding that she was a medical Shinobi at Suna's medical facility. This was news to Ken, though he supposed it made sense considering her healing ability demonstrated last class. One of these days he would have to pay Omni Prime a visit, just to check it out at least. The boy wondered what "Research & Development" entailed at a medical facility, and his thoughts wandered to the Red Death. The illness that had eventually led to his mother's death was more or less extinct now, though there were in recent memory those who attempted to bring it back synthetically. Perhaps research on cures and preventative measures for such diseases was something Kumomi's team took part in. That was neither here nor there, however, and Ken had to focus on what was going on in his class. He could talk to Kumomi about her work later.

The class instructor continued, explaining the key components of swordplay. Ken wholeheartedly agreed with her statement regarding the importance of offensive and defensive fluidity. As she finished her explanation she removed the training swords from the students' hands with a gesture. Once the bokken were back in their places, she added that there were several other taijutsu styles to master as well. With another flick, she sent a set of pole weapons into the children's hands. The weapons were each unique, though they all involved long poles with wooden blades attached at the end. Ken caught his polearm, the hefty weight settling in his tiny grip. The blade end of the weapon was three-pronged, with a long spearpoint in the center and two points on either side that curved backwards. Thinking on the design for a moment, Ken gathered that the only way the two side blades would be useful would be with a pulling motion, perhaps after missing an initial piercing strike. One could possibly use the reverse crescent shape to jab at an opponent's back or to hook their weapon and disarm them. Maneuvering the weapon around, however, he found it to be quite unwieldy. The pole was over twice as long as Ken was tall, making it impossible to move its position effectively. He wouldn't be making in blocks with the pole, and using the blade to block anything would be a risky proposition; any force pushing against the blade end would likely have enough leverage to tear the weapon from the boy's grip. Ken would have to rely on the weapon's range and his own footwork to keep his opponent from getting a solid hit on him.

Another set of mechanical spiders poured from Kumomi's clothes, this time forming four piles. The wriggling masses developed into copies of the four students, and the instructor equipped each of them with a weapon to match their opponent's. The clones set themselves into position, and on Kumomi's mark the exercise began. Ken dropped his right foot back. Unlike his last fight where he wanted his strong arm in the forward position, Ken would be able to get more control out of his weapon if his main hand gripped it from the back. The point of his polearm tracked his opponent, and he stood read to evade any strikes made by the clone. His opponent tested this with a lunge, and Ken leaned to the right in order to avoid it. The weight of the new weapon was something Ken wasn't used too, but he managed to evade the initial strike. Unfortunately the clone also made an attack as it pulled the weapon back, and this time the wood blade clipped Ken in the meat of his side, just above the hip. Ken grimaced, disappointed with his performance. Had these blades been real, he would be bleeding out from a gash in his side. No vitals would have been pierced, but he would be at a major disadvantage in the fight going forward. Ken shook the thought off and focused on the fight, determination set on his face.

The clone came at Ken again, this time aiming a stab at the boys face. Ken ducked and lunged forward with a strike of his own, going under his opponents strike. He thought for sure he had the clone, but it moved its weapon down sharply, slamming the pole into Ken's own weapon. The strike was diverted with a loud clack and Ken was forced to throw himself to the side to avoid a counter-strike as his opponent pulled its weapon back. The clone was fighting smarter, and it certainly didn't help that Ken had very little experience with weapons such as this. The boy would have to end this quickly, the longer the two adversaries spent fighting the worse Ken's odds became. The clone's next attack came high towards Ken's upper chest. Ken didn't dodge this one, however; He had another plan. Tucking his weapon between his right arm and his body, Ken was able to release his left hand from the pole. His off arm now free, the boy used it to bat the incoming strike away, knocking his opponent's weapon off course. Before the clone could pull the weapon back for another strike Ken grabbed hold of the pole with that same arm, leaving the clone with few movement options. Now came for the tough part. With all the concentration he could muster, Ken thrust his own weapon forward with only one arm. The weight and balance of the weapon was more than the child was designed to muster, but somehow he was able to keep the strike pointed accurately. Weapon locked in the boy's grip and unable to move, the clone took the strike square in the chest, dispersing into a pile of metallic bugs. The poles clattered to the floor, released from Ken's shaky grip. The boy sighed and rubbed his right arm, the muscles complaining about having to wield the weapon one-handed. It was another challenge down, and this one had been far more strenuous than the first.

Ayame finally got a good look at the student who came in while they were fighting. The one thing she noticed was that he was more hat than person. The hat looked rather odd and was very wide and pointy. Still trying to decide what to make of him, he heard the new student introduce himself as Midori. "My name is Yamamoto Ayame." She had to remind herself to address Midori and not his hat. Miss Kugutsu introduced herself and then went along with the lesson explaining how swordplay had it's uses as a multi-functional ability. Then she introduced them to the next part of the lesson.

The sensei took the bokken's back from the three students and in its place they were given another one. Ayame was given the most awkward one of the bunch it seemed. The pole itself threw her off as it was easily the same size as her. When she grabbed the weapon from the kunoichi's chakra she realized the weight was another story. She grunted with the sudden onset of the mass and it fell with a bang to the ground. Her upper body strength would be her challenge in this lesson as well as her balance it seems. Looking around, she noticed that most of the other students were having trouble getting acquainted with their new weapons. Ayame's weapon was definitely top heavy and resembled something of an axe but rather than two blades one side was long and broad. She didn't imagine it would be used for any kind of piercing attacks. Miss Kugutsu explained that this exercise would be primarily for piercing weapons and how best to use them in battle. She then sent out her metallic spiders once more to create another clone of each of them.

Miss Kugutsu sent out the signal and the Ayame clone picked up the axe as if it were nothing and brought it down for a broad swing overhead. Unable to dodge while trying to lift her weapon, she managed to move to the side enough so that the force came down on her shoulder rather than her head. Pain flashed over her senses and she wasn't sure if anything was broken but she knew, no matter what, she had to finish the lesson. Favoring her left arm, she grabbed the axe and bared most of the weight on her right arm. Knowing that she couldn't easily lift the axe with one arm, she could only bring it slightly off the ground and swing it. She could possibly take out the opponent's legs with one good swing but she would have to finish this battle quickly before she lost anymore extremities. The one good thing, she noticed, is that her clone had one second hesitation when it lifted the axe back off the ground. If she could get that clone to swing at her again and if she dodged it better than before, she could swing her axe around and take out a leg.

Lifting the axe high over its head, it rushed at her once again. This time though, Ayame was ready. She noticed the minute details in how the clone worked the axe and saw that it was leaning to the right. That's where the clone was going to bring it down again, no doubt trying to take out her other arm. With no time to hesitate, Ayame dodged to the left as the blade side of the opposing axe came down. She then brought her axe in a low circle, blade side facing the clone's legs. With the momentum used from the weight of the axe, she was able to take off the clone's left leg. The spider puppets broke down from their form and scurried back to their owner.

Kumomi would smile as her students would struggle slightly with the task at hand. It was was rather unusual for students to have to go through different weapons in a single class but Kumomi wasn't necessarily testing their Taijutsu skills. Her prime objective was to see how long they could last in a strenuous activity. Just as her last class tested the vital role of Chakra Control this one focused on Stamina. She would finally address the newcomer named Majo. "Well, There's no desks because this is not the typical sit down and listen kinda class. As I am sure you are already aware."<i></i> She would look across her classroom as the clones would burst back into multiple spider puppets. Kumomi would notice the inflictions that had occurred on her students. Her instincts were split; one told her to heal the children but the other told her to allow them to keep their injuries. She crossed her arms and watched as some of her students really did struggle.

She turned her gaze towards Kyo. "Keen observations Kyo, though that would make sense with our current patterns..."<i></i> She flicked her fingers to once again retrieve the polearms from her students and returning the weapons to their spots in the drawers. The drawers would shut before Kumomi would take a step forward. "it isn't exactly what I had in mind."<i></i> The cloaked woman would now be standing in front of her students where her clones had once before. Making a single hand seal a surge of energy was sent through the air masking some of her student's senses. Their sense of sight, touch, hearing, and an infliction of their will.

A whispering laugh would escape from her mouth as she slowly disappeared from the room. The room itself would start to fluctuate and they students would find themselves in the expanse arid area of the deserts that surrounded the village. The sun beated down and they would begin to feel the heat burning their hands and feet. This strange phenomone couldn't be explained for the rest of their bodies would still feel the temperature of the room they were in prior. In the desert the sounds of blistering winds could be heard coming across from the huge expanse. The howls of wild wolves and coyotes could be heard and Dune Bugs could be seen traveling in a heard thousands of feet away. A laugh could be heard from no where. "Okay, so let's see how this goes. This will be a good test to see how long you can survive. Welcome to the Desert Expanse of the Land of Wind."<i></i> As the hidden woman spoke a stranger arrived.

The man that appeared did not appear to be human. His skin was reptilian and his hands and feet were mirrored each other. He stood at seven feet tall and had a rather unusual weapon. The long handle had a crescent shaped blade that stretched from one end to the other. He stepped towards the children and spun his weapon around his body before catching it in a ready position. As he readied himself hundreds of weapons would appear around the students varying from blades, shuriken,. The large creature raised a single hand and gestured for the kids to come forth and hopefully they would give it their all. Allowing the students a few seconds to prep themselves for battle the man would dart towards them, first at Ken.

The sandy warrior would dart at the boy and visible chakra could be seen tracing his movements like a gaseous after step. First throwing his large reaping blade like a massive shuriken at the boy he would dissipate from view and reappear above the group of children and dropping to the ground punching it causing it to erupt from in between the student in an attempt to separate them. He would raise his hand to summon his blade back to his side before grinning and readying himself for combat. Turning to view Kyo he would vanish one more time and appearing behind the boy. Swinging his blade the monster would attempt to cut the boy in half before launching the blade in a curved pattern towards Ayame. The reptilian monster then jumped towards Majo to not only catch his curved blade but to smash it into the ground on top of the boy.

The teacher explained that she would try and see how long they could survive her next challenge.

‘Survive? Are you kidding me?’

Midori watched in awe as the room before them melted away. Before he knew it they were standing out in the dessert, or what he presumed the dessert would look like. Having never been to the surface himself he was very impressed. A large herd of some beetle creatures rumbled to and fro in the distance and the air was dry but crisp. The heat pierced his feet and he found it oddly peaceful. Midori’s awe would be cut short as a huge lizard man burst forth. The clattering of metal snapped him back into focus as weapons littered the ground.

‘Oh snap.’

The battle began – and Midori was ill equipped for this! Having never been in real combat before he kind of lost it. Shaking off his initial fear he started flipping through some hand signs. As the monster jumped into combat upon his peers, Midori’s jutsu came to a wrap. The sand below the lizard man would crumble and shift, hopefully before his massive weapon could slam down upon him! [Gravel Shift – Rank 1] With all of the grace of a drunken chimp, Midori belly flopped to the left upon completion of his jutsu. In the milli-seconds afforded to him he would cover he head for protection. How were his fellow students fairing? Who knew, Midori certainly had no idea. All he knew was that the reality of his situation had escalated quickly. Midori had no concept of Genjutsu and to him this was completely happening!

“Save your selves!” He called out in warning.

Brave? No, certainly not. Hopefully he had bought some time for his peers. Hopefully this was some kindof of cruel mind game. Hopefully Midori’s belly flop to freedom was not ill fated!

The second challenge completed, Ken and his fellow students waited for their teacher to continue their instruction. The children were beginning to tire, Ken could see it on their faces. Accumulated bruises and tired muscles were evident, and Ken himself certainly wasn't an exception. If they were going to keep going with the other types of taijutsu, things were going to start getting tough. It seemed Kyo had the same idea, because he asked if the teacher if they would be practicing with each weapon style. Kumomi praised Kyo's awareness, and pulled the poles from her students' hands with another gesture. Ken prepared himself to catch a new weapon, but a weapon never came. Instead, much to Ken's surprise, the drawer holding all the weapons closed itself. The teacher took a step towards her students and made a mysterious, somewhat ominous statement. As she did so, she brought her hands together and formed a seal. Ken's body tensed and he reflexively clenched his fist. For a moment he was worried the children would have to fight their teacher, but his worry turned to confusion as Kumomi faded away from the boy's vision. Ken's vision twisted, and suddenly he and the others were standing in the middle of a barren desert. He looked around wildly, trying to draw up an explanation for the sudden transportation. He didn't have much time to think, however, because a voice echoed through the air challenging them to stay alive for as long as they could. A strange figure appeared, and Ken finally had something to direct his attention to. He could forget about the absurdity of the situation and instead dedicate his concentration to defeating this new challenger.

The stranger was humanoid, but to call him human would certainly be inaccurate. He was covered in lizard-like scales, with clawed hands that matched his feet. He was incredibly tall, almost twice as tall as Ken. The weapon he held was long and scythe-like with a huge crescent blade. The lizard-man said nothing, but he didn't have to. Ken understood that he was the enemy, and that he and his fellow students would have to work together to defeat him. The man prepared himself, shifting into a fighting stance and gesturing for the children to come at him. As he did so a virtual armory of weapons appeared by the children. Ken gave the newly appeared articles a cursory look before disregarding them and instead wrapping his hands up in his own weapon of choice: a layer of athletic tape covering his extremities. The man was nice enough to allow the kids a few seconds to prepare, then dashed directly at Ken himself. Ken dropped back into a defensive stance and observed his opponent's approach. His adversary moved with incredible speed, leaving a trail of chakra in his wake as he moved. His first action was to hurl his weapon at Ken, the huge blade threatening to rend the boy's head from his shoulders. Ken crouched down into a ducking position, and as the blade soared over his head he prepared for a follow-up attack. Looking to where the lizard-man previously was, he saw that the being had disappeared. The boy's eyes darted around in confusion, and he quickly caught sight of the massive figure descending on the children from the sky.

Ken barely had time to dive out of the attacker's path, and the resulting explosion of earth tossed him even further away from his teammates. This was apparently the stranger's plan, because upon landing he summoned his weapon back to his hand with smile, and proceeded to attack the kids one by one. Ken didn't want his fellow students to be taken out alone, so he scrambled to his feet and sprinted directly for the imposing attacker. By the time he reached him, the being was preparing to attack Majo, the smallest student of the bunch. Luckily the boy had thought quickly and aimed a jutsu at his opponent. The sand below the man's feet shifted and moved, pulling him off balance. Now's our chance! Ken realized, excitedly. "Attack!" the boy roared, hoping the other children would notice the opening and strike along with him. He leaped forward at the lizard-man and threw his fist into the being's head. That would be enough to keep the man's strike from coming down on Majo, but it would leave Ken wide open. Hopefully the other students would be able to assist.

Kyo frowned in contemplation when he heard his assumption had been wrong, and wondered distantly what they would do for the remainder of the class then. However before he could think any further his senses was masked, and the room faded away to reveal a desert. The harsh sun glared down at them, and Kyo found himself thankful for the shade provided by his hooded robe. While he was no master at it, Kyo did concentrate mainly on genjutsu and the fact that they had been in a classroom and now suddenly in a desert tipped him off that his surroundings was most likely the result of one. Not that that makes it any less dangerous, he thought grimly. Still it felt incredibly real, so it could be that they had in fact been transported her somehow though he doubted it. He would be cautious though, it was always best to assume the worst.

Miss Kugutsi's word rang across the sand, and Kyo tensed in preparation when he hear the word 'survive'. This would no doubt be a challenging test, and his suspicions were confirmed as a reptilian warrior came forth. The creature gestured with his hand, and Kyo's own flew through the hand signals for the genjutsu Hot Weapon and with a slight mutter of the name cast it upon the creature. This was not something he wanted to go toe to toe with. Its prowess in physical combat was soon proven as it went after Ken, and Kyo had barely time to dodge as it soon was above them punching the ground where they had just been. He wasn't given the time launch a counterattack however as it disappeared and reappeared behind him, and he barely managed to avoid getting cut in half. The blade did however cut a shallow gash across his back, and Kyo let out a shout of pain. Still he managed to get away with both halves of his body still attached.

The monster moved to attack Majo, and Ken's shout spurred Kyo into action as he drew his sickle and rushed towards the creature. Ken punched the creature, but the action left his open for attack and Kyo quickly moved in to distract the lizardman from performing a counterattack. Aiming for its tendons on the back of its right knee he hoped to cripple, or at least slow it down. It was clear its speed was much superior to theirs. After performing the attack he would then move to cover Majo, so that the younger boy would get the chance to get up from his vulnerably position.

"We need a plan."

Ayame, bruised and sore, heard the clashing of weapons die down around her. Her and the rest of the students turned to face her at the front of the room. Miss Kugutsu reached out and the polearms were pulled from them and placed back into the armory. Curiously, the drawers also closed behind them. There was a second where Ayame was about to let herself relax, thinking the class was over, but something about her vague answer to Kyo and her facial expression made her realize the teacher wasn't quite done with them. Almost immediately, the room around them began to fade and the last thing Ayame heard from the classroom was Miss Kugutsu's twinkling laugh. She then found herself in the vast desert outside of Suna. Looking around, she noticed that she was not split up from her classmates.

Almost feeling relieved, the sensation disappeared when a lizard-like being stepped forward. The only way Ayame could describe was a bipedal reptile. He was obviously a warrior of some sort since he carried a weapon with him and his stance was balanced and controlled. Ayame suddenly understood when Miss Kugutsu told them to survive, this could actually kill them. A flurry of weapons appeared before the children and the lizard man gestured to them to prepare. Looking at the ground before her, Ayame noticed a sword. She wasn't awful with it since she had the opportunity to get familiar with it in class and she could use it one handed since her left shoulder was still wounded from the polearms fight. Grabbing that up, she realized that she could also still use her ninjutsu as the objective was to survive, not only to use taijutsu.

A motion in front of her caught her eye. The lizard man had taken his first move and was moving towards Ken. He was very fast and seemed agile; this fight would definitely test their limits. He tossed his blade towards Ken then disappeared. Ayame desperately wanted to make sure Ken was alright, but she needed to find the threat first. Not seeing the opponent anywhere around her, she deduced that he must be above her. Looking up, she managed to catch a glimpse of the lizard man before he pushed his fist into the ground with enough force to separate the class from each other. Satisfied that his goal was achieved, the lizard man caught his blade once again and came at each of them. She watched as he took a swing at Kyo managing a slice across his back. He then launched his blade in her direction with enough force for it to whistle slightly. Unsure, if her blade could last through a block to his weapon, she dropped and laid down flat on the ground hearing the blade whoosh mere centimeters above her.

Hopping up into a crouch, she turned to see the combatant had made it's way to Midori. Luckily he used his jutsu to soften the ground under the lizard's feet so it threw him off. Hearing Ken's cry, she saw him punch the enemy in the head while Kyo went for the back of his legs. Ayame decided to use her new jutsu, Pressurized Mist<i></i>, hoping to blind the opponent temporarily and give them time to make a plan. Setting her sword down, she began weaving her signs. She gathered her chakra, inhaled as much air as she could, and exhaled out a thick curtain of water around the lizard.

Midori was bored, and it was time to leave. Perhaps he would find other more paced adventures – but this one was a wrap. Composing himself Midori shook himself free of the Genjutsu and departed. Todays class was fun, and he may have learned a thing or two along the way.
