Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Note: There are two different versions of exalted. Regular and 'Fallen' Exalted. Read below for further information.

Exalted
VRsWVxo.png

Disparaging of evil, the Exalted are those who believes in the path of purification, using sacred powers to ward off demons and protect the innocent. Their powers of healing and channeling are said to be a blessing granted directly from divinity.

Note: A character with the Exalted Core Ability may choose to learn a single Medical ability without it taking up a slot. If they lose this CA for whatever reason, the chosen ability is also lost.

Holy Weapon - Passive (3 points)
The blade of an Exalted must be mighty and strike true, just as all their blows must. One with this special affinity can strike well indeed. The inner light of the user's chakra shimmers off a blade with this power in it, and they are said never to grow dull or rusty, and the wood of their wooden weapons to never rot or need polishing.
Effect: Upon leaning this passive, the user must select a single weapon in their Dojo. This weapon is considered Holy. The weapon chosen with this cannot have its Called Shot level raised.

White Blessing - Boost (1 point)
Restriction- Can only be purchased twice
The Exalted emanate a calming, pacifying aura that washes over their allies, imbuing them with a sense of precision and clear-mindedness that makes their strikes more precise.
Effect: User and allies gain +1 accuracy. Does not stack with other users of White Blessing, and does not affect Cursed-aligned allies.

Holy Embodiment - Passive (3 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
As guardians against evil, the Exalted are naturally resistant to the effects of it. They do not shirk in the face of fear, nor are they repelled easily. An Exalted with this skill are said to have the appearance of a shimmering white aura around them by those sensitive to such things, as if to shield them.
Effect: Alignment damage modifiers used by or against the user are raised to +/- 15%. Additionally, the user is immune to fear effects and intimidation effects. Suppression or other AP reduction or attack disrupting effects have only half their normal chance of working on them. If the Exalt willingly performs a Cursed or Spiritual action, this passive is nulled for the remainder of battle.

Sacred Aura - Physical Style (2 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up, requires Holy Weapon
Occasionally their natural passive aura isn't strong enough, so the Exalted must sharpen and hone their aura to let them move faster and with more precision than normal. In this state, anyone can see the radiant white chakra that spills off of both the Exalted and their weapon, and they are able to swing around the heaviest of weapons one-handed with little regard to weight.
Effect: For the duration of this style, while the user is equipped with their Holy Weapon their Holy-aligned attacks cut through half of any damage reduction and gain +1 Critical against Cursed targets. Additionally, the user may channel Medical Ninjutsu through their Holy Weapon while in this style. All CP costs are increased by 15% while active.
Note: Like any other fighting style, this can be turned on or off at the user’s discretion or lack thereof.

Consecration - Boost (1 point)
Restriction- Can be purchased twice
Fueled with a sacred power, the user's actions smite those who would stand against them.
Effect: All Holy actions performed by the user deal +5% Damage.

Divine Health - Passive (3 points)
The Exalted carry divine favor from some greater power. This blessing maintains their health, and should they deem someone worthy, can also be used to heal others.
Effect: HP Recovery by and from the user is 10% more effective.

Miracle - Ability Modification (2 points)
Restriction- Must have the Sixth Sense ability.
While some may favor utilizing underhanded tactics to gain an edge over their opponent, an Exalted upholding chivalrous values can find that their good karma just might pay off.
Effect: The first Sneak Attack performed against the user during a round will lose its sneak attack bonus. This only applies during rounds the user has not performed a sneak attack.

Clarity Strike - Dependent Special Move (3 points)
Not only skilled with their weapons, the Exalted is able to channel their specialized chakra into a spell, making it bypass even the strongest defenses. The Ninjutsu cast using this technique are enhanced with the natural aura of the user.
Effect: The user may convert a Holy attack into a single-target attack that deals +15% damage for an additional +20% Chakra.

Blessed Chakra - Passive (2 points)
The default chakra of the Exalted is not the same as that of their fellow ninja, but rather gifted with a different kind of power altogether. It seems to invigorate and keep its holder on their feet even in the most dire of circumstances.
Effect: The user's Ninjutsu are considered Holy.

Divine Light - Independent Special Move (3 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
Light can be used for many things. Traditionally, the Exalted use their powers for honorable strikes and abhor sneak attacks. However, they aren't adverse to evening out a fight in an unfair situation, especially when combating against those who would use such skills on them.
Effect: Makes a bright flash of sacred light that blinds everyone who fails a Ninjutsu dodge check against it in the battle, allies included. Gives -4 accuracy that round. Blindness wears off by half each round. Can only be used once every three rounds.

Aurora - Dependent Special Move (3 points)
Those who only possess one form of a technique are likely to be outmaneuvered. In addition to possessing the power to convert a jutsu into an attack on a single target, the Exalted also can gain the skill to weaken it slightly and make the range of the jutsu expand instead, favoring an increased chance to strike over damage.
Effect: The user may convert a Holy damage-dealing attack into an AoE, targeting an additional target. If the user has White Blessing, allies affected by it are healed by the effect of the Holy damage as well. This attack costs +20% Cp. May be used twice per round.

Seraph's Smite - A-Rank Non-Elemental Ninjutsu (1 point, 1 point to rank up)
Restriction- A-Rank and up
The most powerful weapon in the Exalted's arsenal, appearing as a radiant flash that is soothing to their allies, and searing to their enemies. While powerful, this technique can only unleash its full power against those corrupted by darkness.
Rank 1: Deals 3200 Holy damage to a single target; if this target is Cursed, this attack ignores their damage resistance. Upon a full hit, the user and allies effected by White Blessing are healed for 480 HP.
Rank 2: Deals 4000 Holy damage to a single target; if this target is Cursed, this attack ignores their damage resistance. Upon a full hit, the user and allies effected by White Blessing are healed for 600 HP.

Cost: 3 AP, 2750 Cp

Note:
- This uses Ninjutsu Accuracy by default, but if the user has their Holy Weapon equipped, it may be channeled through it and uses their weapon's accuracy type instead.
- The healing of this jutsu replaces the standard healing of Holy damage.

Fallen Exalted
HZkh7kt.png

IMPORTANT: Fallen Exalted is only available to those who possess a Cursed Kinjutsu. If a player who has selected the Exalted CA gains a Cursed-aligned Kinjutsu they are automatically transformed into a Fallen Exalted at that time and lose access to their previous table. If a Fallen Exalted loses or swaps their Kinjutsu to a Kinjutsu which is NOT Cursed they may, at their discretion, swap back to the standard Exalted table for free a single time at the time of losing their Cursed Kinjutsu. If the user should gain a Cursed Kinjutsu after undergoing the process to transform back to the stanard Exalted table then they are permanently transformed into a Fallen Exalted and can never be redeemed again.
A Fallen Exalted is a walking tragedy. A former champion of light who lost their way and fell to one darkness or another, they are tireless servants of evil. Where an Exalted inspires their allies and upholds the weak a Fallen Exalted cows their opponents through force of will and perverts the power of healing that an Exalted is gifted with into a twisted reflection of their own failure.

Note: A character with the Fallen Exalted Core Ability may use Medical Jutsu, regardless of their Branch. If they lose this CA for whichever reason, this free access is lost.

Cursed Weapon - Passive (3 points)
The weapon of the Exalted is a legendary piece of equipment and it stands to reason that one which has fallen to corruption is equally so. Immune to the passage of time and damage, the touch of a Cursed Weapon is extremely dangerous to foes which do not bear protection against it.
Effect: Upon leaning this passive, the user must select a single weapon in their Dojo. This weapon is considered Cursed. The weapon chosen with this cannot have its Called Shot level raised.

Heart of Darkness - Boost (1 point)
Restriction- Can only be purchased twice
Fallen Exalts carry with them an aura of chaos and pain which can afflict even the sturdiest of hearts making it difficult to raise arms against them.
Effect: Opponents suffer -1 Accuracy on attacks which include the user as a target. The effect of Heart of Darkness does not stack when multiple Fallen Exalted are targeted with an attack.

Cursed Embodiment - Passive (3 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
Once a bulwark against the darkness a Fallen Exalted has been thoroughly consumed by the shadow that they once defended against and as a result they possess an inborn affinity towards that evil. Likewise they retain their indomitable willpower but have a weakness against the light that they spurned.
Effect: Alignment damage modifiers used by or against the user are raised to +/- 15%. Additionally, the user is immune to fear effects and intimidation effects. Suppression or other AP reduction or attack disrupting effects have only half their normal chance of working on them. If the Exalted willingly performs a Holy or Spiritual action, this passive is nulled for the remainder of battle.

Hateful Aura - Physical Style (2 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up, requires Cursed Weapon
Occasionally their natural passive aura isn't strong enough, so the Fallen Exalted must sharpen and hone their aura to let them move faster and with more precision than normal. In this state, anyone can see the corruptive influence and chakra that spills off of both the Fallen Exalted and their weapon, and they are able to swing around the heaviest of weapons one-handed with little regard to weight.
Effect: For the duration of this style, while the user is equipped with their Cursed Weapon their Cursed attacks cut through half of any damage reduction and gain +1 Critical against Spiritual targets. Additionally, the user may channel Medical Ninjutsu through their Cursed Weapon while in this style. All CP costs are increased by 15% while active.
Note: Like any other fighting style, this can be turned on or off at the user’s discretion or lack thereof.

Malfeasence - Boost (1 point)
Restriction- Can be purchased twice
A Fallen Exalted is an engine of destruction driven by hate and anger. Their power flows from those emotions and any attack which utilizes that power is bolstered for it.
Effect: All Cursed actions performed by the user deal +5% Damage.

Divine Health - Passive (3 points)
Despite the dark nature of their hearts every Fallen Exalt was once a champion of good and that glimmer of light still exists someplace within them granting them the ability to restore the vitality of others even if it is a skill which is rarely utilized by them.
Effect: HP Recovery by and from the user is 10% more effective.

Miracle - Ability Modification (2 points)
Restriction- Must have the Sixth Sense ability.
Even a Fallen Exalted is an agent of a higher power and benefits from the protection offered by that power even if it is a vile one.
Effect: The first Sneak Attack performed against the user during a round will lose its sneak attack bonus. This only applies during rounds the user has not performed a sneak attack.

Necrosis - Dependent Special Move (3 points)
Where the Exalted are agents of healing and goodness, a Fallen Exalted is the antithesis of that and nothing highlights that better than their ability to turn techniques normally intended for the mending of others into consumptive and hateful energy. The touch of a Fallen Exalted and bring with it disease and rot and makes them exceedingly dangerous foes.
Effect: User may cast the following Medical Ninjutsu offensively using Melee Accuracy: Mystical Hand, Mystical Force, and Angelic Blessing. Casting a Medical Ninjutsu offensively deals Cursed damage equal to the amount of health which would normally be restored (see note in these jutsu), and if the Jutsu mentions it, fuctions as Negative Energy. If it is maintainable, it requires a check at the start of each round. Casting a Medical Ninjutsu this way increases it's CP cost by 20%.

Gloaming Chakra - Passive (2 points)
Even a Fallen Exalted's Ninjutsu are affected by their fall from grace creating twisted and monstrous variations of their former abilities.
Effect: The user's Ninjutsu are considered Cursed.

Spreading Darkness - Independent Special Move (3 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
Able to inflict a shroud of darkness on the eyes of their opponents a Fallen Exalted is able to rob their foes of their ability to see for a short time allowing.
Effect: Robs the battlefield of light for everyone who fails a Ninjutsu dodge check against it in the battle, allies included. Gives -4 accuracy that round. Blindness wears off by half each round. Can only be used once every three rounds.

Devastation - Dependent Special Move (3 points)
Those who only possess one form of a technique are likely to be outmaneuvered. In addition to possessing the power to convert a jutsu into an attack on a single target, the Fallen Exalted also can gain the skill to weaken it slightly and make the range of the jutsu expand instead, favoring an increased chance to strike over damage.
Effect: The user may convert a Cursed damage-dealing attack into an AoE, targeting an additional target. If the user has Heart of Darkness, any opponent struck by the attack deals -10% less damage for 1 full round. This attack costs +20% Cp. May be used twice per round.

Devil's Spite - A-Rank Non-Elemental Ninjutsu (1 point, 1 point to rank up)
Restriction- A-Rank and up
Conjuring the dark powers that suffuse their body directly, the Fallen Exalted can corrupt that which was once sacred into dark power that even an Exalt of Light cannot protect against.
Rank 1: Five flashes of forsaken chakra that deal 880 Cursed damage each. If used against a non-Holy target, this attack ignores half of all relevant damage reduction. If used against a Holy target, this attack instead does not suffer the usual penalties Cursed damage deals against them, (but no DR is ignored).
Rank 2: Five flashes of forsaken chakra that deal 1100 Cursed damage each. If used against a non-Holy target, this attack ignores half of all relevant damage reduction. If used against a Holy target, this attack instead does not suffer the usual penalties Cursed damage deals against them, (but no DR is ignored).

Cost: 3 AP, 2750 Cp

Note:
- This uses Ninjutsu Accuracy by default, but if the user has their Cursed Weapon equipped, it may be channeled through it and uses their weapon's accuracy type instead.

Effect: The user may convert a [glow=darkred]Cursed[/glow] damage-dealing attack into an AoE, targeting an additional target.

Rank 1: Five flashes of forsaken chakra that deal 880 [glow=darkred]Cursed[/glow] damage each. If used against a non-[glow=blue]Holy[/glow] target, this attack ignores half of all relevant damage reduction. If used against a [glow=blue]Holy[/glow] target, this attack instead does not suffer the usual penalties Cursed damage deals against them, (but no DR is ignored).
Rank 2: Five flashes of forsaken chakra that deal 1100 [glow=darkred]Cursed[/glow] damage each. If used against a non-[glow=blue]Holy[/glow] target, this attack ignores half of all relevant damage reduction. If used against a [glow=blue]Holy[/glow] target, this attack instead does not suffer the usual penalties Cursed damage deals against them, (but no DR is ignored).

Cost: 3 AP, 2750 Cp

Note:
- This uses Ninjutsu Accuracy by default, but if the user has their Cursed Weapon equipped, it may be channeled through it and uses their weapon's accuracy type instead.
