Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Red irises glared down the dragoon tooth path. The dark robed android slowly placed her hood over her head. It was finally time to move forward. She proceed down the path, her heavy black robe dragging across the dirt leaving a trail in the softer dirt. There was an aura about her, something unnatural and unpleasant. It was perhaps the methodical way she moved or perhaps it was simply her intent made visible in her demeanor. The dark Kunochi would near a few yards from the first visible guard tower. A one hand seal from beneath her robe would cause a string of explosives to ignite. Explosive notes attached to the walls of the canon she’d passed. Soon there was a loud booming echoing the dragon tooth path and Umu would take advantage of this distraction. Using her cloaking technology, Umu would fade from sight. This cloaking had limited capabilities and so she made haste.

The winding paths that faced the dragontooth path were for more than show. Even the most seasoned shinobi often found themselves struggling against blankets of snowfall and the harshest elements the north could muster. Should you venture to this place, know that it is always prepared as that is the very nature of the shinobi. The most true shinobi lurk in the shadows, to the point that only the boldest dare to enter the open. Yes, the bold ones go loudly into the night— but they are often the catalyst who serves as a reminder…

Go looking for trouble and you just might find it.

On came the spark of a lantern’s light flashing in the haze of that android’s creeping entry. Someone had found them, and a welcome party they might prove to be? Bound beneath a wooly cloak, a weathered voice worn by rum and hash called out boldly— “Make yourself known, traveler.”

-- EDIT: Sorry, looks like I missed the mark by two minutes due to my own sentinel being countered by yours. Carry on.

The decoys had succeeded and Umu’s endeavors rewarded. She’d step onto the land of the Cloud shinobi and remove her hood to reveal glowing red eyes in the night. Red and glowing like fire. A never ending flame of ambition kindled by her will. Her deep black locks would fall and sway. “Phase 1 complete… now.”
She whispered to herself. For now, Umu was free to act unimpeded by the village’s anbu. She need to not draw attention to herself in order to successfully complete her goals. Alerting the village to her presence would complicate matters and success probability would be minimum at best. So for now, Umu would keep to herself and remain hidden within the community. Hidden in plan sight as a normal girl just passing through. Dressed in black, Umu continued forward. Everything was going according to plan.

Perhaps the veteran shinobi’s greatest power of all was their instinct. A shinobi the likes of Kaji Okada was not easily duped, and certainly never played for a fool. He swept back the hood of his wintry wolf cloak and welcomed the slap of a cold night wind to awaken him. Not even the frigid wind easily dismissed the fires of some strike against the mountain, and the stray heat passed over his senses. The old shinobi’s tongue flashed through parting lips just enough to taste the air; his taste buds, enhanced through reptilian senjutsu flared. “No propellant used or structural damage... Had to be Kibaku Fuda.”

With a visual sweep, his emeraldine eyes dulled as he turned away from the fire. It was a diversion— or so he discerned from the location and lack of severity of the blasts. Anything causing a casualty would have brought down the wrath of more than one shinobi who happened to be in the right place at the wrong time.

“The fox enters the henhouse—” Old Man Kaji mused as he crouched low to examine wide-spacing boot prints gashing into the snow from a swift run. Shadows may creep in the dark unseen by naked eyes, but the purest white snow always revealed the marring of it’s perfection. “But little does it know that the wolf is right behind it, toothy grinned, snarling.”

Indeed, a so-called retirement meant so little when the thrill of the chase was on. Perhaps Kaji would prowl for a night, just once for old times sake. He brought two ombre gloved fingers to his lips and let out a distinct whistle in three bursts, a night bird's call with purpose. On came the flash of two massive floodlights with metal screens hanging from on high from the barricades. In the dead of night, they made a heavenly glow and resembled eyes to suit the draconic motif as two cloak shinobi emerged as silhouettes in front of them. In the days of yore, they were his ilk and would have flocked to him directly, but this would do. “Inform the Grand Commander that we have company. The perp is humanoid; likely female or minor…” he paused his report long enough to glance back at the snow with a second thought. “They’re fast— stronger than the average stan. "Tell her I recommend a proceed with caution… the motive here is unclear.”
Without so much as a word the two ANBU faded into snow flurries; agents Cheech and Chong were all show-offs, but these new agents had no personality. With a disappointed sigh, Kaji trekked onward down the trail back into the dragon’s maw. Never would he have thought he’d end up being the one missing the good old days. Such a pity.
