Beep beep beep.
An alert could be heard chirping as the cyborg began to wake from it's low power mode. The white haze of the mountains made charging it's solar powered chakra batteries an arduous task, so the cyborg opted to allow them to charge while it rested.
The snow around the cyborg had melted. Leaving an oddly warm spot upon a literal mountain of cold powder.
The mountains of Moon Country. Something about them was familiar, yet the location data seemed to only vaguely know where it was.
[Location Updated: Mount. Tsukiakari, Moon Country.]
Based on the visuals from the flight path, the cyborg determined it had flown from somewhere inside of Fire Country to the mountains of Moon Country. A vast distance covered in a short amount of time, thanks to the cyborgs Flight Attachments allowing it to skip the mundane interactions of traveling upon the ground. A straight line in the air was much more swift than a traveling the road. A pop-up reminding the cyborg of it's ever present objectives and it's rationality for moving forward.

The system wanted it to collect more upgrades. It had been sending it in the direction of compatible signals since reawakening at the junkyard in Fire Country. It did not question the directive, but gave honest and innocent effort to each of it's tasks at hand.
It's first task was one of opportunity.
After booting, a storm rolled over the location of the cyborg's starting location.
After making it's way to shelter, the storm evolved into a lightning storm.
The system sent the cyborg a message of opportunity and where a human would question the sanity or possibilty, the cyborg quietly and faced the force of nature with unflinching resolve.
The cyborg had managed to capture a bolt of lightning from that storm as it was making it's way north. The once wild and powerful force of nature, tamed, siphoned, and assimilated into the cyborg's programming, allowing it to augment chakra cells and armor plating. Now, it was also capable of using that same raw energy similar to a lightning storm itself. The cyborg had utilized nature to increase it's synthetic abilities. Perhaps more of it's upgrades would come from nature. Speculation was of no concern to itself.
There was no hesitation in the thought to seek these upgrades as demanded by the system. So it marched silently through the mountain, slowly and meticulously. Seeking an unknown source of new power, or a pop-up from the system.
Over time, evidence of his interaction with the mountain would be visible. Walking, checking behind trees and rocks, the cyborg was leaving a trail of melted snow in his wake. There were no changes in it's directives, so it continued searching. All while updating it's location data as it traveled.
Flight was not an option currently. Poor visibility would only make searching more difficult, However, the cyborg needed more information on it's immediate surroundings so it would need to seek out either a vantage point or an individual with information.
It had not yet communicated with another living entity since rebooting and It was not yet sure how others would receive him. The memory from the last time it was awake had been damaged, so the only incentive the cyborg had to go on were the pop-ups the would consistently intrude on his field of view.
Expand Capabilities
The words were understood but wide reaching. Where was the limit for expansion? Was there a limit for expansion? The cyborg did not question the directive, it simply moved in the direction it thought would lead it closer to it's objectives.

It had been given another directive and would obey the system command to the best of it's ability.
The signal in question had not been fully located, but recognized. What this meant was that the cyborg would need to continue it's survey of the mountain, however, the source of the ping would at least be within the scanning parameters of it's sensors. Fortunate or not, the cyborg understood and would continue searching.
Increasing search functionality.

Steam shot from the seams of the cyborg's body. The panels of synthetic material beginning to separate and shift before swiftly reforming into a slightly different looking man. Now clad in a black suit with red pinstripes and locked hair, the once crimson eyed cyborg was now a white eyed well dressed gentleman.

The now well dressed cyborg had equipped the body of a once infamous shinobi. His origins were not too far from this location which may have been why there was a sense of familiarity when he arrived. The logic behind equipping the shinobi was sound. His vision was legendary. Known for his visual prowess, the additional visual range should have aided in the cyborgs searching capabilities.
Now, instead of young man with light brown skin, and white hair rummaging up and down this mountain, there was a slightly older looking man with light brown skin and brown locked hair rummaging up and down this mountain.
Snow was constant. The trail he left as his search continued swiftly fading into nothing. Even with the extended visual prowess of the Byakugan, visibility was still poor and he was unsure exactly what he was looking for. Only that it was certain that -SOMETHING- out here that pinged his sensors. So the cyborg would continue it way up and through the mountain.
[ System: Run Searchlight.jtsu. ]
Even while overcast, the sun was out when the cyborg had began his assent into the mountain. But it was clear that it had set now as the cold air shifted into freezing temperatures and visibility went from grey to black. The glow of it's Byakugan acting as a pair of flashlights, and now the addition of a 3rd, oscillating luminescent device, the logic was again sound. Increase output to all scanning capabilities, and perhaps the ping from earlier in the day would ping again.
The day had turned dark. The cyborg had expanded much of it's chakra reserves in search of a second ping to it's signal and now was approaching critically low levels. Self preservation protocols were beginning to activate.
Throughout it's day of searching, the cyborg had cited several cave entryways. They seemed to be mines used by locals. It had opted to explore the surface of the mountain in lieu of the tunnel exploration because it had even less information about the inner systems and the cyborg's scanners could potentially lose signal. Those reasonings are what made it spend all day searching a mountain. However, now, as it was reaching critically low levels of chakra, it would need a shelter to rest and recharge away from the freezing temperatures of the night air.
From it's current location, he looked like a ball of light on the dark mountain surface as it made it's way up and through a mountain trail that would eventually lead to one of the mining entrances it had passed earlier. This one was fairly mundane, sporting a few mine carts and pick axes at the entryway. This one seemed frequently used but again, currently abandoned as it was after hours and a snow storm was rolling in. Another sense of familiarity ran through it's systems upon entering the mine's entrance. The cyborg was unsure it had been here before but possibly the Kuromaru device drivers were reacting to area, or some sense of nostalgia. It was not a feeling calculatable to the cyborg at this time, so he continued onward.
It did not want to be disturbed while in it's lower power, charging state, so resting at the caves entrance was not the logical choice. It decided to dive deeper into the mine in search of an small dark area it could powerdown. His chakra batteries were solar recharging, but would also recharge over time at a slightly slower rate. He would need to shut down a few of his main system processes while he rested, hence the need for a certain level of safety being required.
Making it's way though the cold and damp mine silently, the well dressed cyborg was suddenly alerted by a
-Ping-
It's sensors had picked up yet another sign of a possible system assimilation for the cyborg!
However, it was still running low on chakra.
Was the source of the ping moving? The received signal was no stronger than it was the first time the cyborg had encountered it. There was not enough signal strength to determine the exact location of the signals origin, only that it was nearby, so the cyborg had a decision to make.
Would it rest, charge itself and commit to exploring the complexities of the Mine? Or would it continue to search for the source of the ping with it's current chakra levels.
