Urufu
There were no amends to make, no farewells to utter. The village would soon collapse and all those contained within these walls would soon thereafter perish. He should not be here, he should never have come back but there was a kindred spirit among the drones that occupied Sunagakure. Kinship goes deeper than blood and has nothing to do with affections, it had something to do with his soul or the shredded remnants of what might pass as one. He was not here to atone for his sins, there was not enough blessings or prayers to wash away what he has done and what he would still do on this path he had chosen. He might come to regret this lapse in consciousness in due time but he had to warn her.
[col][legend="The Letter"]The world you know is about to come to an end. The village will fall after a series of explosions that you have no chance in off-setting and only a matter of hours before what I warn will come to pass. As a fellow member of my clan, I warn you of this impending destruction so that you may alter your ultimate fate. Your salvation will be through the Toraono Dojo, the passage has been repaired for months to the outside.
I won't wait for you, but I do wish you luck.[/legend]|The letter was unsigned. The woman was a link to both his feral nature as well as his humanity: a part of his soul where balance could be found. It was not love or even lust he harbored for her, rather it was a sense of completion she offered despite her lack of sanity. Perhaps there was a white knight under that layer of fur that wished to liberate a fellow clanswoman. Truly, he could not explain this desire or why he wasted minutes writing this simple note, something he had written thrice prior to settling on this incarnation.
He was no hero.[/col]
Yume was his intended recipient. He nailed the simple parchment face down to the door of the place they once met. There was no way of knowing if she would return in time, but he could smell her scent in this space. If he had the time he would have tracked her further, but time was almost up. He threatened his own life in even sharing this information with her, even if she did escape she risked crossing paths with those he allied himself with. If thatwas so, she too might face a fate worse than death.
He would one day come to regret his action, hopefully it would not be today.
