Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

She should've known this would happen....

The journey from the bustling streets of Seki District to the prestigious Aesculapium was no short distance to cover despite the kunoichi's hurried pace; especially when you were carrying an unconscious teenager upon your back. Even if the inebriated collapse had been inevitable, Siu still felt rather irresponsible for allowing what had occurred. Had the kunoichi been warier of the younger girl's condition after their meal together, she could have at least prevented the additional injuries associated with colliding against hard-wood floor by catching her.
Despite the great desire to avoid drawing attention after her recent return, the Senju's collapse right in front of the restaurant entrance had, most unfortunately, turned quite a number of heads—both towards herself and the kunoichi immediately rushing to her aid afterwards. And though she'd firmly resolved to have the Senju receive a checkup due to her frighteningly sick appearance, these hadn't quite been the conditions the Chuunin had desired to accomplish that resolution under. Anxiety swelled as the long unapproached facility slowly came into view; For, Shizuka hadn't been the only one due for a checkup.... Fate had a great sense of humor, it seemed.

WHOOSH!

The startled receptionist immediately bolted to a stand as the hospital doors burst open, her expression just as panicked as the Chuunin's.

"What's the emerge—H-hey! ...Ma'm?! ....Ma'm!"

"Hikari, Siu—don't worry, Miss Elise!"

Bafflement decorated the receptionist's features as she witnessed the teenage female scurry past the counter and down the hallway.

"....Hikari, who?"

Verily, the Aesculapium housed an abundance of highly-skilled doctors—the best even. And had Siu actually granted the receptionist the time of day, there'd undoubtedly been a plenitude of names readily available to entrust the unconscious girl to. However, among that plenitude, there was only one whom Siu held absolute faith in to provide the best treatment for her friend.
Heads curiously turned as the intruder swept passed employees. Left... manifested the reminder, the kunoichi herself even wondering how in the world she'd still managed to remember directions after so many years.

Feet suddenly paused. The kunoichi swung around—eyes fixed upon the single white label affixed to the door.

'Chigokai, Osuteno'

Well, this was going to be awkward....

Heart-rate nervously increasing, Siu lifted a fist.

Knock, knock...

"Se...sensei?" timidly uttered the call, "Are you...are you there?"

Osu stared down the hall at a young woman knocking on the door to his old office which now served as a spare room for his many filing cabinets.

It was a bit of an odd scene as the young lady knocking on the door was carrying another piggyback. As he approached he could tell that the one being carried was in rather poor health from the sound of he blood flowing through her veins and her heartbeat. Uncharacteristically, his attention was diverted from the potential patient’s wellbeing and a firm frown appeared on his face as he stared at the profile of his missing disciple. He stopped some short distance away from them briefly, uncertain, a mix of emotions stirring up. He then sighed lightly and finished his approach, but then walked past Siu, the red threads appearing from the collar of his kimono retrieving the burden from the girl’s back.

Rather than saying anything he simply gestured with his hand for Siu to follow him without turning to look at her.

The tendrils has increased in number and were carrying… oh this was one of Yuii’s from that time. Shizuka was it? When had she become an alcoholic? She smell she had was a near aura of alcohol that could not be obtained in a couple nights. In such a young person that was a sign of serious psychosocial issues. Without looking back Osu pointed at the girl while he walked forward and a bit of blood seeped out of her skin and hovered in an orb the size of a marble above his finger.

This… well she wasn’t suffering from alcohol poisoning at least, but she was horrifically dehydrated and lacking in nutrition.

A tendril shot ahead and around a corner and brought back a male nurse who wasn’t wearing pants and simply a banana hammock instead and handed him a list Osu seemed to pull out of the air. “Put on more clothing, at least an apron, bring these to room 362D and get this girl iv’d, have an MiT keep an eye on her, get some history when she wakes up, possible alcohol withdrawal patient, standard drill for alcohol issues.”

The tendril put the man down, and Osu kept walking forward. Eventually they came to the room he had mentioned to the nurse and the tendrils placed the girl lightly on the bed and shut the door after tucking her in and raising the bed to a sitting up position.

He then turned with a stern and intense expression, staring Siu directly in the eyes for the first time, his eyes like clear orbs with blood churning about chaotically and furiously like the sea in storm. He stepped towards her, not blinking as his sanguine gaze seemed to become more authoritative and a sensation like something was trying to command the blood inside her own body to keep still, and Osu stopped moving forward only when the tips of his geta were nearly touching Siu’s shoes. He continued to stare into her eyes as if he were not just a petite figure of 172 cm and 40.82 kg but giant of noble bearing.

Then the sensation of something trying to command Siu’s blood disappeared completely and was replaced by Osu giving her a hug that lifted the girl off the ground and seemingly threatened to break her bones. The hug became a bit tighter like a boa preparing for the crushing kill before he put her back on the ground and gave Siu a fierce chop full of parental love straight to her noggin, dealing about 8500 damage.

“Is a letter too much to ask for?! To imagine you would be as unfilial a student as Kiri! Where have you been?! Have you been eating well?! It doesn’t look like you have! And why are you so messy?! Cleanliness is key to health! You have a mountain of homework you are late on! Are you alright? Do you have any injuries? Do you need a checkup?” Osu’s current expression would remind many of a very upset yet relieved mother on the verge of tears if he were able to shed any, and his hand was twitching like he was ready to chop Siu again at any moment should she give him the slightest reason to.

At this point a nurse pulling a small cart was slowly scooting against the wall while hiding his face behind his hand as if he were trying to sneak into the room to treat the girl as he was told without being noticed by the two who were having a reunion feet away from him. This was complicated by the fact when he opened the door to the room as slowly as he could it made a long creaking sound that could be heard easily for a few rooms of distance for many seconds. He stopped when the door was part way open and tried to enter but the gap was too thin for the cart which gave off clattering sounds as it connected with the door. This was followed by more drawn out creaking from the nurse slowly opening the door more, pulling the cart completely inside and then slamming the door shut as fast as he could.

Heat rushed through her body in waves. While the softness of the mattress wanted to keep her where she was the awful, smothering heat left her spinning as she slowly started to regain consciousness. Somewhere far away a voice was calling, one she vaguely remembered from the past but couldn’t place regardless. The sound only caused her to spin more, and when the clattering was added she slowly opened her eyes to glare at the source of it. The moment her eyes met the little cart all of the previously heat returned in one blow. Shaking and a bit panicky, the young Senju tried to get out of bed before the smothering feeling had finished crawling up her throat -

“Bwerrkkkaahhh-”, the pale kid managed when food consumed not too long ago came back to hit the floor. She tried to breathe when more came out, landing next to the nurse’s feet. Tears ran down Shizuka’s cheeks when she puked the third time.

Immediately the majority of the heaviness she had felt in her chest and the heat trashing her body left her. She could breathe a little better now. For a moment. When her eyes found Siu and the kind man she’s met during the hectic day of Ume’s poisoning, well, she felt her face turning red as she used her sleeve to clean her lips and chin. It felt nasty, but it was better than using the blanket. Besides, she could take it off. It’s what she did, quickly getting rid of the thin sweater before disappearing beneath the blanket entirely. This meant including her head. She couldn’t handle them seeing her like that, them - especially Siu - being disappointed, and above all she didn’t even like the light coming from the window. This truly was torture, the young Senju realized while keeping the blanket firmly pressed against her eyelids.

When the world started to spin a bit less and she found the courage to open her eyes once again, Shizuka tried to hide her shame regarding the things that had just transpired. Wondering if Siu had carried her all the way to the hospital or men had to come into the busy streets to pick her up - the question burned in her eyes, but she didn’t feel like asking. For one she was afraid the embarrassment was larger than she could imagine. And then..

Then she realized that there was something she was worrying about.

It caused her to frown lightly. The sign was barely there, but as her frown deepened she suddenly realized that she wasn’t as numb as she had thought to be. Especially not when her stomach turned again and she was quick enough to not dirty the bed but add to the mess on the floor. Poor nurse, she grimly thought with a little towel in her hands. Perhaps it would be smart to bring her a little bucket. Though.. most of the food she’s had that day had already said its farewell to her.

“Sorry..” was the first normal sound she made when it was safe to open her mouth again without the threat of her meal returning. “I.. didn’t mean to.” Was the next mumble. She didn’t dare to look up being pretty sure to be met with various looks of disgust.
