Fate/Shadow: Foreigner Clash! [Private|Sekuro]

[Tomomi]

It had been some time now since her arrival in the village for her own personal reasons and she found herself in a different part of the country that she had never stumbled upon before. This location was known by the villagers as the Valley of the End and housed two larger-than-life statues that were likely important figures in the history of this country at one point or another. However, the importance of the statues could wait for another day when she was roaming the village and doing her research for her personal mission. For now though, she was merely exploring alone yet again trying to take in all the sights and sounds of the country while she was allowed to stay since she could be asked to leave at any point especially with Kami not doing her job well at all.

But, she would worry about her departure when that day came. For now, she would just continue to do her own thing and allow fate to determine who she encountered and interacted with. Considering where she was right now, she doubted that many would be out here at this time as it was nighttime and the only light was coming from the lunar object in the sky known as the moon. Also, the Valley of the End was not exactly close to the village and housed many creatures that could use the environment around them to their advantage considering the the trees, shrubs, and other forms of cover. Of course as one approached the statues and body of water in front of them that housed a waterfall, the area opened up more and there were less places to stalk one's prey; but, this did not mean that there were not plenty of other places to utilize to one's advantage especially the animals of the country.

If someone would stumble upon or follow Tomomi, they would find her standing at the edge of the water looking into it wearing her samurai-like armor and her hair tied up as it normally was. They would also be able to see two horns coming from her forehead which made her resemble some form of demonic being even though she was merely a half-breed that had been hunting onis since she arrived in Fire Country to ensure that their barbaric-like actions did not cause harm to anyone that she saw. However, she still had oni blood coursing through her veins as well and one could not safely say that it would not overcome her if she felt like her back was against the wall. But, truly, time could only tell what happened.

[Sekuro]

The sound of water crushing into itself could be heard echoing louder and louder as Sekuro continued to exit the cave. Clicks and rattles could be heard as his body moved at a steady pace. No destination as of yet, no purpose to his movements. However, upon reaching the end of the cave, the vast world in front of him stretched further than the ivory orbs within his headpiece could see. Numeric values, scales and information all processed within his internal view, arriving to many conclusions. None of which were important... things like the speed at which the flock of birds flying by were going, how heavy they were individually, their internal body temperature.

As Sekuro gazed upon natures bounty as it laid before him, an alert popped into the corner of his visual field.

Someone was nearby.

Scanning the area, his scans revealed but one individual. A lone woman albeit demonic in appearance stood there as still as an undisturbed pool of water.

His movements created clicks and rattles as he made his way from the opening of the cave towards the woman. He knew nothing of her. Not who she was, what she was capable of, only that her level of chakra called for caution. The body moved slowly and steadily. Walking upon the water as if it were a solid surface he continued forward. What would she do? What could she do? These thoughts were absent from the mechanized mind of Sekuro as his processors knew only one thing.

That it was about to attack.

There was yet still a lake of distance between them and Sekuro was advancing slowly yet steadily. Would she flee from his approach? Would she attempt to communicate with him? Or perhaps she would simply see the obvious, and understand that a battle-droid was approaching and she had a choice to make. Fight or flight?

 

[Tomomi]

Within only a few moments of standing at the edge of the water, it would appear that her quiet night alone would come to an abrupt end. This was due to a mysterious figure appearing in front of her that merely was walking towards her while making clicking and rattling noises - a rather odd way for someone to interact or naturally produce noises if one was to ask her. Nevertheless, she would watch the figure approach more and more trying to gauge the situation that was in front of her.

As the figure got closer, she could tell that something was off with the individual as they were still making those noises from before; they were simply intensifying and the male, she assumed, seemed to be moving and acting rather inhuman which was not entirely off to her. After all, she was not exactly fully-human herself and people looked at her oddly for how she appeared so she could not judge the figure in front of her for that. But, she could tell that this figure was not here to talk as they continued to approach her and seemed to be calculating her the entire time likely sizing her up to see if she posed a threat to them.

She didn't want to engage in a fight at this hour in the country and stir trouble for the locals by causing damage to their lands. But, she was alone out here with some random figure continuing to approach her seemingly autonomously and she would have to do what was needed to protect herself and ensure that she did not put herself into danger. Of course, a little nudge could be more than enough to make the random wander away and leave her alone or it could cause the oddity to go into a more hostile mood and try to murder her on site. After all, this strange entity in front of her could be programmed by the Hidden Leaf to study her and to ensure that she was behaving. Some chances seemed like they would have to be taken.

An emotionless machine of destruction, and Tomomi clash!​

Hello! You're friendly neighborhood moderator here, Ryuichi! Let's have a nice clean fight!​

but first.....gasp some guidelines!

1) Keep your actions clean, and clear. Link everything, included added effects from abilities, augments, jutsu maintains, etc.

2) Keep harassment to a minimum. If you have a problem with me, or your opponent then take the appropriate action. I'll most likely make a mistake or two due to my relatively new position.

3) Be sure to post within allotted time, and send actions! Failure to do so will result in spending the round in defensive stance.

4) Please give me feedback on my layout, and clarity on my modding! Not really a guideline, but any help towards improvement will be great for me.

Closer and closer the husk of a body made its way to the woman. She did not seem afraid of his approach. To the contrary, she seemed to be preparing herself for the inevitable clash that was about to ensue as the core programming of this human-puppet amalgamation had already begun. Once within earshot, the woman may have heard a feint noise, indicating that perhaps something was charging.

Once within range, his approach would halt, remaining still for several seconds before beginning to quiver. Emotionless eyes void of humanity started into those of his opponent while his body began to shake causing a small shudder of a rattle at first, then gradually growing into something more akin to maracas. Vibrations from the rattling could visibly be seen effecting the water in which Sekuro stood. The vibrations growing more rapid and violent as the seconds passed until they became a hum. It was then that Tomomi may realize that there were various after-images all around her.

It had begun.

Standing her ground, she watched as the figure in front of her slowly made its way closer to her before stopping. It would look into her cold, distant red eyes with its own lifeless, emotion-less eyes while emitting more sounds from it oddly. She would not physically react at all to the creature nor give off a hint of curiosity or stress, but internally, she was curious to see what it would do if she brought a weapon out and played with it.

Time would tell if her engaging this unknown creature was a wise decision or not; but, she was not one to turn down a fight and she was out here alone in the night with this mysterious figure approaching her. Wait and see - that is what she would have to do.

• Sekuro, strategist slots must be decided in the user's Dojo. I wish I could allow this, but if I did I'd get chewed out. Being able to do things like pick specific pre-prepped poisons depending on the enemy is too big of a bonus for me to oversee.

A few minor attacks were made in attempt to root out the woman, however just as the attacks failed to reveal his target, another beeping image came flaring upon Sekuro's screen.

Though his target never revealed itself, Sekuro's systems could still detect the presence of more than one entity. Eventually his previously set traps sprung into action which confirmed that his target was still nearby, due to Sekuro catching a glimpse of her as she evaded the wires but also an explosion.

The machine maintained a defensive yet alert position in case either of his opponents attacked. However this was nowhere near the extend of its capabilities. In truth, the circuits and hard drives were still warming up.

[Tomomi]

Watching from a disclosed location, the half-breed of Tomoe Country would never change her demeanor once as she evaluated the situation in front of her. In the span of a few moments, the robotic creature had laid down some traps and tried to attack her. Fortunately for Tomomi, the creature was not even close with any of its strategy and it appeared to be recalculating and planning its next few steps in their dance together. As for her, her mother had shape-shifted in their location from the silver band that rested on her right ring finger to a mask-like object on her face. She would likely be providing some much needed love and attention to Tomomi as this skirmish on this makeshift battlefield continued on.

However, there was no time to relax as this automation object in front of her looked like it was ready to continue at any given moment and she also was ready to continue. After all if she could manage to take down this entity and leave the situation with minor bruises and scars, that would be ideal. Then again, she also was wearing quite a lot of armor that slowed down her movements and made her use more energy than the average person which protected her more, but it drain her at a slightly quicker pace. She would need to factor that in if this skirmish would become a prolonged confrontation. For now, she had decided on her next few moves and was ready to execute them from her location; hopefully, she could resolve this situation that appeared out of nowhere before the shinobi and citizens of this country noticed and questions would begin to be asked to her.

In the end, time would tell the story of how this fight between a half-oni and an automation managed to work out. If there was one thing that she could say, it was interesting what she had discovered and learned thus far in this village during her stay. But, there was still much more that she would likely discover before she headed off to her next destination.
