After a long, and quite tiresome journey, Yoshi and Akane arrived at the outskirts of a town, or a city. During the whole trip, Akane was quiet, as she was focusing to get here, that and, she just didnt know what to say to Yoshi. She was split between wanting to talk with him, and being angry at him for brushing her off in front of his 'new' friends/comrades. She also very excited about this trip, but she did not want to show it like she normally did, she wanted to act grown up, and not go off jumping for joy. Though it was really tempting to show how excited she was, she do her best to hold it back.
Akane slowed to a walk as a city came into view, she did not believe the beast she was looking for would be in the city, but maybe they could search the outskirts of it. That, and she was uncomfortable with her lack of knowledge on this area. She had heard there was a civil war recently, there could be still a lot of scum lying around. "Lets keep at least twenty miles between us and that city, Yoshi." She stated, with a nod. Her inner child though wanted to explore the city, and run around, but they were on a time crunch. They only had one day to find what they were looking for.
Akane had been doing a lot of reading on contract beasts, it was something she sincerely wanted to do, but there was only one contract she wanted. She did like the feline contract, but she wanted something more exoctic, and fun. Something that could only be found in the fire country.
Akane started to walk along a path, it seemed to lead into a deeper part of the forest. She walked at a slower pace to get everything in more. Secretly, she grinned, they were actually in the fire country. She would love to visit Konoha this time, but she would have to wait. She knew that she would go travel the nations after she became a medic. So next time, she would be able to spend more time. Akane remembered when she used to look at old picture books of other countries. If she were to pick a favorite... Well she really couldn't, she wanted to see the statues of the hokage's, and the sand dunes of suna. Though, she did not know how much the fire country has changed since the civil war. All of her pictures on it were probably very outdated. She knew her father visited konoha, but he never told her anything about his travels. As for her mother, she had stayed in the lightning country all her life.
Akane occasionally glance over at Yoshi, to see what he was doing. She didn't want to make it obvious she was looking at him, so she would continuously shift her gaze. Her gaze went to a few flowers at a tree base. They looked like daisies, white petals, and small. Akane never showed it, but she loved nature. Being outdoors, climbing trees, and gazing at the scenery were her favorite activities. Besides studying. "Its so pretty out here." Akane had said quite loudly, as a sudden burst of excitement overcame her. She meant to say that quietly, but it ended up being very loud, almost like a yell. She was obviously excited about this now, she had just been trying to look calm and collect.
