Her third mission. Hopefully this time it wouldn't have cats or raccoons or deer in it. She wanted something less complicated but beggars can't be choosers. The girl made her way to the Embassy to get another one of those Student Missions so that she could stockpile them under her belt to make her Academy time worthwhile. The normal sequence, the old lady squealing about how cute she is yada yada, but this time the request was a tad bit better than the first two, at least in the mind of the eight year-old. Satsuki needed to fill in for someone for this convenience store who was "in war" with a rival store. The girl needed to hand out fliers and leaflets for the day on the street. Finally, something simple and IN TOWN.
Satsuki would go to Mr. Block's One Stop Shop and meet the owner to get instructions on what she needed to do for the day, but before she could enter the store, she heard shouting and yelling. She turned to look for the source and saw one guy being dragged away by the police,
"FIGHT THE FAIRIES! YOU HEAR ME?? FIGHT THE FAIRIES!!" the man bellowed, wearing a Mr. Block's One Stop Shop apron.
"Ah, such loyalty!" said an old voice behind her. The girl turned around to see an aging man, it was the owner of Mr. Block's. "You're the girl the Academy sent to fill in for one of my guys right? Come, I'll brief you in front of my store."
The girl followed the owner just a couple meters away. He gave her an apron, a cap, and a small box full of fliers that she needed to hand out.
"Wear these and take these fliers with you. You need to hand all of these out by the end of the day. Don't worry, it's not that hard. I think you know the area where the Embassy is, that's where you'll be posted. Be sure to get back here before eleven thirty for your lunch break. It's free but it's just forty minutes so you'll have time to get back to your post." explained the old man.
"Uh, can I ask why you guys seem so uh, what's the word-- aggressive? I mean doing these?" the girl asked. Aggressive is sort of a big word for an eight year old, so she couldn't really form decent sentences yet. The man bellowed jovially,
"Well, our competition, them retched fairy folk. They try to do some things that would have a bad effect on the market so we need to do something. I really can't explain in detail, you might have a hard time understanding. All's you need to know is you need to get rid of all the fliers that you have by the end of the day."
The girl nodded and went on to her post. It would be difficult for Satsuki to hand the fliers out since a lot of people knows who she is. But with sheer determination and hard work, she would then finish the task, though she was a bit late to return that evening to Mr. Block's One Stop Shop. Late, but nevertheless, she accomplished what she came there to do. And with that, three missions. Three completed, accomplished missions. Maybe now her good-for-nothing, prejudiced teacher would allow her to do a class report now.
