Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Nobu seemed to have an understanding of things now since the meeting with Akkuma had taken place and the fact that he had settled debts and sorted everything else out. So it seemed that once more the world was going well and of course, even he knew full well that the expansion the group was making was something that continues to find profit for the Clan, even if they were going to be considered to be outcasts for the rest of the world. He knew full well that this was the trial and tribulation that the group had come to experience, but of course, facing things head-on was the best way to address concerns and issues, even he knew and understood that time would settle things down. He imagined that Asuka was still raw about the situations and everything that had taken place of course he expected it to still be so raw due to the simple fact that she had been hurt emotionally. Though he suspected he would never actually admit that to anyone. Leaning back in the leather chair of the office he sighed to himself as he knew full well that the day would be a boring one, but boring was good, it was uneventful, for either the good or the bad and he could use a break from the world being so exciting and expansive.

"Morning Boss, I figured I would check in on you and see how you were doing this morning before the team meeting, I am just getting the staff in to see if there is anything we can change for them or progress that we can make for helping them to have a better environment for working. Is there anything you need me to pass on from your side? Or anything you need at all?"

"Morning, Nah I think we are good for most of the things, just keep their spirits up and make sure that they are constantly happy to work here, after all as soon as we start to lose the fact that the staff are happy here, we lose them and I would rather keep the ship sailing smoothly from my side of things. I do need to make sure that the books are in order, but from our side, with profit coming in I am fine with all of that. Go have some fun, also have drinks on the bar, no payment required might as well reward the team for hard work"

Nobu sat in his chair as he looked through the window down onto the Casino floor, it was empty and such a stark change from the hustle and bustle that it normally had in the day. Checking down into the book that he noticed a meeting that he was supposed to have today, it was one with Shion a teaching session, as he looked towards it he pondered for a few moments deciding what to have the subject on. After all, a tutor should be informing them of something.

"I think I know the perfect subject to help with Shion learning, he does need to make sure that he is continuing to develop and right now I believe I do have the perfect way to do this. I will wait for him to arrive and go from there. I want to see how much he has learned actually during the time away"

Nobu would go back to the desk as he looked down at the clean oak desk, putting it from his mind as he waited for the arrival of Shion, it was time once more to help improve a member of his clan.

Shion wasn't really himself after he had woken back up at the clan house. He just didn't want to do much, for him, it was possibly losing another person he held dear to him. Yet at the same time his head was in turmoil... 'He cannot be really dead... right..?' He questioned. As he turned over on the couch in the living room, someone of the clan came towards him. He was shaking on his legs as Shion had let his Aura running a bit amock closely around him... "Your presence is required at the Casino in Crater City." The man told him. his voice shaking a little. Shion's eye simply just glanced over... 'Can't someone else deal with it..?' He did only groan and got up, he didn't wear his casual clothing, rather he wore something comfier. With or Without Nobu... this was the time to actually find out if he still was around.

Shion held a poker face on as he made his way towards the casino, he still often went there on a claim of a mission so he got a temporary passport. Once he finally reached the place, he would enter the place, trying to remain as calm as possible. Hands inside his hoodie as he looked around, first checking the floor to see if there was anything around here. He got a mention from someone to go upstairs and he nodded on to that confirmation.

He knocked on the doorframe as he got inside and once he saw Nobu... His eyes widen up, he stood there almost like he had spotted a ghost. "N-Nobu..." His movement staggered a little before he would shake his head a bit. "You really are still alive..." He muttered and you could see relieve on his face right after as he got inside. He closed the door, no matter if Nobu ordered it to remain open. "The other day, we all were summoned towards the Hokage Office..." he started to explain before Nobu would be able to say anything to verify his behavior. "She claimed to have killed you after a battle... We were given options..." And that... was where he kind of stopped talking, scratching the cheek and trying to think. "I don't remember after... Probably need to ask Za... about that..." He would start anew and tell what had happened, till the memory gap after in a more fashioned manner but also about his worry that soon took over him in regards of him really being dead.

Nobu looked towards Shion, it seemed the man was acting like had seen a ghost, which was a strange position to be in. As he raised a single eyebrow as he looked towards Shion wondering what the words that were coming from the boy were on about. It seemed that he was stumbling around his word and this was slowly irritating the Clan head as he sat in his seat, leaning back trying to put even part of a statement together in those few minutes, he knew full well that something had happened that much was true, as he glanced towards Shion.

"Yes, last time I checked I am alive, I haven't had a medical Shinobi confirm that for sure, but I am pretty sure that I can safely say I am in the land of the living? Have you hit your head, from what you are saying not much has is making sense, you do need to slow down and try and calm yourself when you are speaking. What has my future wife done this time with the Clan? I need clear and decisive answers Shion and not a mumbling mess, focus and calm down. Here have a smoke and a drink if needed and explain to me the situation"

Nobu allowed his hand to reach down to the draw as he took out two crystal classes and a decanted of a tinted liquid which clearly looked to be Whiskey. Pouring two full glasses, he took his own and downed the liquid in one go before refilling it, waiting to see what Shion had to say, it seemed the tutor would be in teaching Shion how to control his feelings in situations as in this state he was not good to anyone. Pulling free an ashtray from the other draw, he placed a pack of cigarettes on the desk with a lighter, grabbing himself one as well he looked towards the man in front of him.

"You need to start with your breathing slow it down and focus on it, make sure that you take the breathing in slow, holding it for a few minutes before releasing it. Don't exhale and inhale quickly, and don't talk for a few moments, compose yourself its key to not let yourself get flustered it will do no good for anyone in this situation. You need to make sure that you are aware of your current situation and trying to calm it, your breaking with a slow heart rate, controlling that will then allow your mind to clear. At the moment it seems that you are having trouble with that part."

Nobu picked the lighter up before flicking it open, he let the flame hit the end of the cigarette as he took a drag in from it, enjoying the hit that came from the nicotine as his eyes never left Shion as he took it away from his lips. Breathing out the cloud appeared before him at that moment as it started to rise up and dissipate in the room that the two were in.

The moment Nobu mentioned... Future... wife... his mouth dropped, and as Nobu took those glasses out with everything else. He felt like that would have been a welcoming thing and something he would need after this upcoming news. As he sat down and took a smoke, he hated to admit it.. But Nobu had a clear point on that one. He was the youngest of all of them, probably the most immature one too at this rate, not to mention his personality was one that was easily combusted into an anger fit or even agitated quickly.

He was told to work on his breathing first.. and from what he had done before... was the complete opposite. He now would do what he was told, taking a breath in.. but instead of waiting a few minutes, he would hold his breath for a few moments before releasing it. For a moment he would run his fingers through his hair and look again to Nobu. He really was here, he really was still alive. But that did leave a very bitter taste in his mouth as to what Asuka had done. "Guess my personality is my biggest flaw there then..." He finally did mutter a bit more calmly, and once he took a cigarette and lighted it.. he first took a big drag before exhaling the smoke slowly. His eyes never met Nobu's anymore after that line, purely as he knew he made a grave error one that he hardly could forgive himself for.

After a short moment of silence, he gathered his thoughts and started to speak about what had happened, from begin of his day, throughout the night shift that didn't really go well with throwing people out and all through a bar of theirs in the oak streets and then his abrupt wake-up call to get summoned. "So after having barely slept anything, I went to the Hokage's office... In there she sat and offered us all tea... I took a cup but never drank from it. Who knows what she would be doing with them.. Sumiko, Zatoru and Shun were all present along with me... But then she started to speak, about the clan, you and us..." He would detail that part later as he took a moment to take a drag once more. "She started about how we helped a criminal, you, without following her order back here when we first met up after you ran from the city. She then spoke that she was... almost glad? That she had dealt with you, according to the laws of Konohagakure. That you had given your last request before you had died... She is a handless though, good job on that" His eyes slowly went to meet those of Nobu, but one who knew Shion could easily know he was already blaming himself that he doubted that Nobu was alive or dead. "After that, I remembered something about having given a choice... but... Not fully sure what had happened after. Perhaps a combination of disbelieving... short sleep and my personality... I flipped it... I lost it..." He would take a breath as he had learned moments before, taking a nip from the alcohol. "The thought I lost another family member... Got a bit too much of me... I do not recall anything after that, except waking up in the clanhouse..." He said to admit that he didn't know exactly but knowing him. He probably had done almost something incredibly stupid. "Just... that she would lie about you, after we spend those years together.. she knew..." He started to grit his teeth and slowly formed a frown on his forehead.

Nobu watched Shion actions and movements, it was clear that the man was still on edge, but at least he could see flaws in the actions that he took. And right now calming the mind was something that he would have to learn over time, but soon with commitment and time and devotion to the art claiming one's self. But that was part of the reason that Shion was now in the office with Nobu, as he stubbed the smoke out into the tray he took another sip from the glass as he let his finger play across the rim of the glass as he watched each intricate movement that Shion made with every expression.

"Very interesting I figured you would all be summoned into a meeting, but the rest of it isn't anything she mentioned, and the loss of a hand is a very new and interesting development for sure, so you all got a choice, interesting. And out of curiosity what were the choices that everyone decided to make. Tell me more on that front so I can better understand what everyone was thinking in the group? I want to know what decisions everyone made honestly and to hear what you thought of the choice and what the two options were."

Nobu wanted to get all the information he could but realized that he was using the time with Shion he should also teach him as well, listening to the end part of it he knew full well that he had a few options to make on that situation and what Asuka had done. He wondered what that would mean for the rest of the Clan, standing up he walked over to his bookshelves and ran his finger across the spine of the books finding the one he wanted he pulled it free and brought it back over to the desk, putting it down in front of Shion.

"This book will give you the information to calm your mind Shion, while emotions are good you need to know when to control them. After all anger and outburst can land you and those with you in tricky situations. So let's start with the simple ones, what triggered you this time, explain what you think was the key to this time you losing control of your own actions? What caused that to happen inside of your mind and what was it that was said?"

Nobu knew that he would need to find the key to that anger in order to be able to fix the issue and find that balance. If he was letting his outburst show every time then it would cause issues with the situations in Suna, even he had the understanding to accept the situation and knew that he would have to calm him before he was allowed to run things in the manner that the clan required. Waiting patiently he took the glass and downed it once more before wanting to see what Shion would say in reply to the conversation.

"Hmm..? what did they pick..?" He would slowly tilt his head, trying to remember and all that... They all had said it before he was knocked out... Right, he was knocked out. "Shun's... reply was; I'll take the punishment and remain inside leaf... Sumiko... Took the option to leave... so did Zatoru..." He would take the last drag as he would then put it out and lean a bit back into his sitting. "I believe.. her words were in the line of; Nobu's last request was simple, do not be too harsh on the others, they were basically kids when they joined... On that she gave us two choices... one was to be escorted out of the village by two ANBU operatives to never return... All our ranks and privileges would be gone.. If we were to go back, we would be killed... If we would continue Gekido work... we would be killed, no matter if it was outside the village or in I think... Or we could take the appropriate punishment of Leaf's law..."

He took a grin as he thought back about it. "Claiming how we did everything against the village even... Weren't we cleaning the streets for her?" He tapped the glass as he took another sip. "ANother book..?" He would then glance to the book.. More paperwork... more reading... and he damn hated theory things. "Urf... Alright... But... triggered me..? Hmm..." he would think on that one, but he had a better idea. He summoned his Yokai he would probably know those trigger points better. As Shion summoned Milo, who got outside of the shadow of him, he asked him directly. "W-when don't you..?" milo replied with a sigh. "Worst trigger is height..." "Oi oi...!" "There you go already.." Milo simply walked to the door and sat down beside it in his wolf form.

"I remember I got very angry inside of the office... Because she dared to make such a claim... Yet at the same time I... guess I was scared for it to be true..?" He would somewhat confess, even though he spoke softer on that point and would eye Milo, before looking back to Nobu. "It's basically whenever he gets patronized as small or as a child..." "I am still growing! " He already growled at the Yokai.

Nobu continued to listen to Shion as he decided to describe the options that had been given to every one of the Clan, it was a very interesting move by Asuka he had to admit, and even with the actions, she had taken it was something that infuriated Nobu if this was how she acted after some bad news, after all, she seems to be blaming him for the situation she had gotten herself into, as well as the loss of her hand. That would be something he would change as soon as he was able to. He hated to have words or actions re-written in his mind.

"People will always see you for being less than you are Shion, that is just a fact of life, and you have to accept that fact, no matter how much we try to change others perceptions about ourselves, they will always come back around, it's not something that is easily ignored but in some situations, we must try our very best to ignore the words. See past the words, as putting us in a situation where we lose control of our actions can mean that we lose control of the situation, and without control, on how conversations go you will then lose the way to focus your mind to get what you want from the situation."

Nobu leaned back in his chair as he pondered the best way to try and explain it better than he had. Though he really knew that there was no better way to explain it than to just try and learn the experience in order to get control.

"It's not an easy thing to do, breathing techniques, mind strengthening actions, self-control is what you have to learn here Shion and that will be one of the hardest things to learn in the entire world. You are the only person who will have that ability to control their own emotions, no-one else here will be able to do that for you at all. I can tell you that right now Shion, no matter how much we want to only you are able to control your own emotions in a heated situation."

That was really the truth of it, Shion had to make sure that in those situations she was no losing control of his own thoughts and actions. Lashing out in certain situations could cause danger to everyone that was with the man.

Hearing how even Nobu was saying that... people would always see him as less... Didn't really help in his own mindset. He growled a bit before he took a bigger sip of the whiskey almost having it empty now. He would always be up to argue for the fact he had good control over his mind and actions, yet it wasn't the world's best control out there like Nobu was displaying. Miro would happily argue siding with Nobu on most of the things.

" The mind-stuff should always be up for you..." He would eventually try to wave it away a little, he understood by now that he had to work on his self-control mainly, supporting that by doing mind breathing techniques and mind games... Mind games? No, mind strengthening actions whatever that would mean for him. He started to frown, look to Nobu... and only just now a set of words went through his mind.. "Wait... What... did you even mean with.. 'Future wife'?"

Nobu listened to Shion speaking as it seemed that she was done here, passing the conversation off but he knew that he had to change and fast in order to make sure that he was keeping up with the world that would be constantly changing, Nobu shut the book and passed it across to Shion, allow the man to take the book away to read it. He would have to study it in his own time in order to be able to control the emotions that were slowly spiraling out of control, he just hoped that the spiral down would be stopped before it got to the very end of the self damnation that it could cause.

"At least take the book away with you, study it, and learn everything you can from it. This is an order from the Clan head, not a request. So I would hate for you to mistake it as such, after all, that would just cause things to get worse. Next time something like this happens try and control yourself, I cannot have you being a loss cannot every time. And yes after the meeting at the Casino a lot of things happened, as you know I have met with a Shinobi named Akkuma and as well as speaking to Asuka."

Nobu finished the drink, placing the glass down on the table as he looked towards his brother nodding slightly as it seemed that the wording he had used earlier had dawned onto the man. He was fine with that though as he knew full well it would only be a matter of time before the man was asking questions he was running out of time for this meeting. That was the way of life with Nobu these days, so little time to do anything at least he would fill Shion in on everything that had transpired.

"Yes so as it currently stands, I have arranged marriage between myself and Asuka, for the strengthening of the Clan and to stop her interfering in our matters, not sure the exact date yet but this will happen soon I am sure, this was the deal struck in our meeting. No fighting, just a simple marriage deal. For Akkuma however it seems that we have expanded our business overnight, we have gained infrastructure inside of Sand as well as being able to secure some vital locations, in return, we offer him assistance and a safe house here in Konaha, as well as a few of the other provinces we have. I call that fair trade, the next step for that part is to travel there and meet with him, the handshake will be done with myself, Zatoru, and you Shion as the area will be yours to control after that. Anyway, I have rambled on too much, study that book, learn from it. We will speak soon."

With those words, it was clear that Nobu had finished the lesson for today, as he went back to the business of checking the rest of the operations that they had running and making sure everything was ready for another week of behind-the-scenes dealing.

Of course the other had given him the order... not even as a question, but a legit order to do it. "Hnng... Just because it is you..." He replied eventually on that motion but he would lean on his hand as he placed the book beside him.
As Nobu started to reply, he took a nip of the last bit of alcohol, but as he heard it from him... He swallowed that last sip wrong and almost inhaled it. It left him coughing for a few bits before looking with big eyes at him. He never knew he loved her... at least not like that... But once he heard deal, it made a bit more sense? "So... well.... damn..." He was a bit more focused on that part, rather than the other bit. "Okay then..." He wasn't sure what was best to reply, but he did notice how the other had to keep it a bit short. "Alright... well..." He would take one more smoke from the pack. "seems I need to get to studying here..." He growled a bit as he eyed the book and placed the cigarette between his lips.

"I'll get to it as soon as possible... try my best on the techniques and all that... But I cannot give promises in the beginning!" He at least would try, and knowing Shion it wouldn't be half-arsed tries, but a commitment to it. "Please take care though... Not sure what we all would do without you..." He was honest at those words, but he was more than glad to see his brother was alive.
