Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Time had been spent gathering intel. Putting it to use, plans in motion, hatching schemes. The tall woman with an unsettling beauty about her wasted no time since having been given the mission to assassinate the man on the picture, Toshinaka Ret. Of course, the mission was truly to determine whether or not he was a man who could be trusted, if he was innocent of any wrongdoings against the Village Hidden in Sand, but that was just a formality, more than anything. As far as Akari was concerned, this man was guilty the moment he came into question. It would be a true joy to watch the light darken in his eyes.

And so, she had already embarked. She studied the target, picking a close cousin who had supposedly become a recluse in the past few years, but that was simply a cover story. The kunoichi had intercepted many communications to and from this "Toshinaka Bai" and Ret. It was from these letters that she perfected imitating both Bai's handwriting and speech patterns and started to communicate with Ret herself. And such was the reason why she finally felt confident enough to push for a meeting, face to face, with the man himself.

Blood now stained her blade as the disgustingly lavish (at least to Akari's mind) home of Toshinaka Bai had been infilitrated. Servants were dispatched first in timely manner and their bodies found themselves slowly engulfed, consumed by a void of shadows that only its mistress could access for future applications towards science, or whatever mad schemes those who would receive the generous "donation" would feel like subjecting the corpses to. At least they would not feel it, nor anything, any longer. At least they would not have to have their souls "living" in such a dilapidated state that science would leave them in. Bai fell in a rather disappointingly quick manner. Bai was older, over twice of Akari's age, with a fading wisp of youth in her beautiful looks, dyed roots to hide the silver in her raven black hair, but she clever and quick witted from the analysis that she had taken when researching for the new part she was to play. A swipe of her tongue over the blade to sample the blood, a sickeningly sweet taste tainted with the vinegar of her personality, but it was enough to register in her mind and catalogue for her. The pain of transforming through the secret technique gained from the Uzumoereru Queen was lessening in the sense that she was building up a tolerance to it, but it still took a bit of a toll on her. She looked through the woman's wardrobe after assuming the form and adorned the most extravagant and official ensemble that could be found. One of the servants left alive (and none-the-wiser) was called for to escort her to the home of her target.

It was time that her actions and information, goals and desires, were brought to fruition in this mission as she dawned the finest clothing the woman had to offer as she moved on forward, following the servant she left the humble home of Bai and went into an elegant, if not outdated by modern standards, mode of transportation and made her way to the dwelling of her true target. Concealed on her was a small recording device, though a part of her felt that even that was unnecessary and the higher ups would believe her no matter if the man truly was a traitor or she made something up on the spot. From the rather interesting interaction with her instructor, who claimed to have been a king in his own time, the ordinarily blonde woman, now disguised in the body an older woman around 50 with silver streaks in her hair, believed that Uzu could care less.

There was a strange sense that he would understand, if not relish, a mass slaughter of people he found to be in poor taste. This was a way of life that Kamiya Akari excelled quite handily in. And it did not take long, or so was the feeling, until the carriage pulled up to an old home. Old in style, but exquisitely modern and very well kempt with tended gardens and fresh coats of paint as the door was opened for her and she gracefully made her exit, mimicking the movements of her former victim to perfection. She moved forward onward towards the gates which were opened for her by two of the security guards who welcomed her and ushered her forward towards the main entrance and other servants did likewise. She was greeted by a woman who seemed to know the visage she had taken well, she had bowed to Akari-Baii as one would to a superior and took a hushed tone as she approached her, keeping close and informing her of the meeting. Almost everyone had arrived as of the moment, but Baii lived far from the scenes for a reason, so it was already reasonable she would take longer to arrive. "Wonderful, please bring me to the meeting. It would be lovely to see my dear cousins once more," she stated in an almost cryptic manner, covering her mouth with a traditional fan as she let out a soft chuckle as if speaking a joke for her amusement alone.

In the guise of Bai still, Akari moved swiftly and gracefully as a falling cherry blossom upon a gentle breeze behind the servant, maintaining her cover to perfection with a look of utmost sincerity and grave seriousness as such was the matter the family was due to discuss with their dear "cousin". Not that she was ever truly a key player in the past, but she still had quite the collection of wealth and contacts even after having been "retired" for so long, so her name and presence alone demanded respect due to them. Soon, the disguised blonde was lead to a truly important and elegantly crafted looking door that screamed for attention, something where only the most important of meetings would clearly take place and once it was opened, she walked through the door to be greeted by several men and women, most near or older than the age of Bai herself, as their juniors and servants, those who were trusted enough to attend such meetings, were allowed to participate in silence. They would take witness to what was to happen so that they might know first hand the truth that this world would come to know and so that they, themselves, might help shape it with their own hands guiding them to the future.

A couple of the senior members sighed, perhaps in annoyance or perhaps in relief as they saw the last family member to arrive at the location as Ret sat behind an intricately, skillfully carved desk while all others stood. "At last, our dearest cousin has arrived. We are all now here so we may begin with the meeting. Surely we all are aware of what is happening in the village and surely we know what must be done. It must be done soon. The fortuitous departure of the former Kazekage and his brief replacement has left everyone in a panic and this is when we shall seize power before the others have time to act. We have created the plans for each of you, commit to memory and the village and the entire country of Wind shall be under our thumb!"

The man was quite bold, sure, confident. As someone who no longer believed he could fail as all save the last few remaining dominos were about to fall perfectly into place. Even the instructions, which had been discussed earlier and perfected, were written upon highly incendiary paper so that not even the charred remains could be found once they burned to ash. However, this was all that she needed and she, herself, was confident in this fact. A shadow stretched from her body outwards in all directions, rising up and stealing the papers from their hands before they could react and the papers themselves were tossed into the shadows where they could not be retrieved.

"My, my, how exciting, thrilling....lovely...you might as well have gift wrapped yourself and slit your own throat, but where is the fun in that...for me that is..." she stated as the facade started to fade away. Normally, her disguise typically springs back instantly, but she went for the dramatic flair of having the face of Toshinaka Bai melt away using extra layers of chakra applied through traditional transformation jutsu over the special Uzumoreru blood ability.

As the skin of their cousin melted away, quite literally as per the illusion she added, the blonde added over a foot in height. Long, flowing locks of golden strands fell behind her as the white, porcelain skin replaced the tan skin of Bai. It was quite the sight as she covered her face with a mask, the smile upon it as bright and gleaming as her own, twisted and cruel as fire burned within her pupils, the window to her tormented and deranged soul. The horror the others were subjected to lasted only a short time, but too long for many of them as the young woman drew her blade and sped off with blinding speed. The one behind the desk reacted quickest, hitting a button to set an alarm within the compound only to alert his guards. It was an action which would cost him at least two of his fingers as the blonde kunoichi threw a shuriken and severed the two fingers which touched it.

Of course, she wanted this, she wanted to kill every single person in this estate. Not because she had to...it was a desire. To murder and be recognized for it instead of trying to hide it. In a way, she still had to hide it from the world, her actions and the fact she perpetrated this crime, but there would be others who would know and would praise her for doing so. The thought brought her joy and she sped towards the two men nearest her, knives in both hands as she lept and flourished her body into a spin, slicing the throats of the men carefully, but deeply, leaving them gasping for air that would never come as blood filled their lungs. The sensation was thrilling beyond words and lit up her hidden countenance as two men charged her from both sides, blades at the ready. Trained killers themselves, but Akari had youth on her side and a lifetime of experience in her own right, flipping backwards and out of the way as she tossed more shuriken, this time of shadow at the men which pierced their flesh.

Now she unleashed the shadow form that had joined her, speaking to her as if a Captain giving orders to her troops and the Shadow grinned like the devil himself as she, too, joined the fray. Blood splattered up the walls of the room, the carpet was soaked, dyed red and many books collected were permanently tainted before the night's end with only blood spilled, though much of it had emptied the bodies of the former hosts. No corpses would be found, almost all cleanly and precisely killed and stored away in the void of shadows that Akari had crafted as the blood that once flowed within them would mix together and become corrupted by the outside world long before it even dried. Now, only Ret remained alive.

Ret was corrupt, probably long before even Akari's parents had even dreamed of a child, so though scared he may be, it was a brave countenance that was displayed before the world and, most importantly, the girl. He had seen a great bulk of the force he would have attempted to stage his betrayal with slaughtered most savagely before his eyes before their bodies vanished from the plane of existence to be used as cadavers for heinous experiments. "Tsk, tsk, dear Ret. You should never play with fire...or knives, weren't you aware? Neither show any love for those who are so inept in the execution of their power. To be honest, I am quite ecstatic you all were traitors, it would have been such a waste to forsake this opportunity to slaughter so many as I was able to tonight," she confessed with a sadistic grin, before shaking her head and wagging her finger. "Uh uh uhhhhh. No need to speak, nor beg, promise or plead. In the end, the world only cares that you bleed. Not a breath must you breathe, not a word must you say, no light or relief at the end of your final day," the shadow duplicate clone of hers grabbed Ret by the throat, growing in height and lifting the man up and off the ground as she struggled, gasping for hair as the creature crushed his throat and further, dropping his lifeless corpse within its own body to the void along with the others.

The estate, thankfully, was generally known to be unwelcoming to outsiders, so no one should discover the blood-soaked disaster that she had left for quite some time as she retreated triumphantly, withdrawing under the cover of the night and the shadows which she adored. Unseen, though not before making certain that no security footage could be recovered. Just in case someone decided to snoop in the future. She was nothing if not thorough, though in the end, she was able to expose a traitor and killed in the line of official duty. No matter her methods, she was certain to be completely exonerated even if it were discovered, but old habits did die hard. Uzu, the captain of th ANBU, would be presented with the man's more or less pristine corpse, minus the damage to the neck and, of course, his fingers, along perhaps some of the others who she had killed with more surgical skill, all in addition to evidence of the treachery of the Toshinaka clan. All-in-all, she felt quite confident about her first mission's success.
