Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A day like any other for Akira, minus one small detail. This mission he was about to embark on was for more than just a general surgeon, this was revolutionary by all accounts. It was one thing to identify what was happening to make a body stop working, but this was a study on how everything within the body worked. From the bloodline abilities being passed through generations, to the intricacies of Chimerism, Akira was going to settle the scholarly debates once and for all. He had an unlimited amount of time, as his normal day to day tasks were assigned elsewhere leaving him to pursue the task at hand slowly, methodically, until it was finished.

The morgue once again was prepped in advance by the staff for his arrival, the chill in the air raising the hairs on his arms as he approached. Inside on the table lay a man of middle age, who had succumbed to his eating habits a bit too soon. Other than the heart this man was in relatively good health, making him the perfect specimen for such an exam. All the tools laid out neatly with sterilization tanks close at hand. Now that he was here, he could begin to break down and understand the body on a level that had yet to have been accomplished.

While some of Akira's work in the past had been less above board, it was this work that allowed him to excel at this exact sort of thing. What would frankenstein's monster have been without Victor's less than favorable desire of knowledge after all. Now it was his turn to show the village and the hospital his skills in action, all he had to do was cut and find what made this man tick.

Akira allowed himself to walk down the familiar corridors of the Hospital, he had changed a lot since entering these rooms and had come out for better or worse at least stronger, and making sure that he did everything within his grasp to show Nao that he was doing the very best for the branch. Moving underground inside the Hospital, this was the darker place inside of the hospital, where no one spoke and the patient had no secrets to give or words of wisdom to office, instead, they lay on the slabs ready for burial or for the family to collect, this place was often considered the secret side of the Hospital.

Walking into the side room off from the main area, he changed into a simple white uniform, it wasn't what he would normally be seen wearing but he wouldn't dirty the Chief robes that had been given to him as a gift from the Sennin, no they were to be preserved and kept safe, as he washed his hands in the basin cleaning himself and making sure he was fully preserved in that instant, before stepping forward and putting gloves on he wanted to make sure that he followed the protocols put into place.

Stepping out of the side room into the main room, he looked at the setting, it seemed that he had gotten the short straw though he wanted to see what the cause of death, and find out a bit more about the body that lay out before him, it was of course not every day that he was able to find himself in a room like this, alone and with the ability to study up close to look at a human and see any issues that could have been caused by the mans death.

He needed to unlock secrets and reveal the abilities that a body could unlock with Chakra being used, this was his true goal, to learn and understand the body and how Bloodlines and Core Abilities came to be, after all, he wanted to make sure that everything was noted down, as he traced his hand across the table of tools that had been set out, knowing full well that they would be used today, as he traced them across with the tips of his fingers, they had become so familiar to him and became second nature within his daily work nowadays.

Akira allowed his fingers to grasp around the scalpel in those few moments, he felt the cold familiar feel of the handle, before bringing it to the flesh of the corpse, he created the normal Y shape on the man's chest, peeling back to the flesh to expose the organs, though one last part stood in the way, as he took a moment to put the scalpel down and picked up the bone saw and removed the ribcage as well, making sure that he could accesses the body fully. Standing in the room alone, he would begin to look at the body for any abnormal organs, or features.

Opening the body was an easy process for Akira, one he had performed numerous times already at this point. He could see the man's organs all on display waiting for closer examination. The first thing of note that would peak Akira's interest was the presence of peculiar flaking in the blood, while it was not much as the body had been prepped in advance it certainly was present in any and all blood left behind in this chest cavity.

The shimmery substance could be brought up to the eye in a vial and observed more properly. If Akira chose to do so, the notes on the substance would be fairly simple. Upon further investigation, the substance appeared to almost resemble that of fish scaling but on a much finer scale. As if the man had some sort of ground up, reflective, scaling inside his bloodstream. If he used any equipment to further examine the substance it was in place of white blood cell clusters as it they had mutated over time to become this foreign substance. Though it was clear they served the same purpose. An interesting find, though not enough to base anything on. If he put his mind to it, maybe then it would start some theories about the man's abilities, specifically that whatever this was laid dormant in the bloodstream until activated later on. Could this be the sort of thing that made for how bloodline abilities were passed on?

Moving on from this, he would need to take an initial sweep of the body's organs, further noting any discrepancies or points of interest. Looking first at the heart, given the noted detail on the blood. While at first nothing truly of note stood out to Akira, upon further inspection each of the valves for the heart were significantly larger than that on the standard body. Perhaps this was to allow the new substance to flow easier, but either way it was something strange. If the body had adapted in such a way to allow this sort of foreign body to flow with ease throughout it, surely the veins had as well. His assumption was of course correct, with the veins in the area being much larger than even the more physically adept shinobi. The benefits to this would not only have been for the mystery substance but also for circulation and heat production throughout the body, leadin to another clus for Akira's research.

On a whim, looking at the lungs given the larger circulatory system may also provide some answers. Sure enough upon a more detailed inspection something was immediately sticking out to Akira. While the untrained eye may have passed over it, Akira's would note several sections of scar tissue that indicated burns within the lungs. Checking the data of the patient, there were no known reasons such as smoking or exposure to smoke in his history. These small details were maybe unrelated, but could be used to draw some lines of connections to abilities and known bloodlines that are in the leaf village. It would of course be up to him to piece them together, and see what fit where.

Akira looked at the man as he sighed in the darkness of the room it had become clear to him that this was going to be a long day of work, gone was the opinion or even the mindset that this would be wrapped up quickly, no he knew that he was going to indeed be here for the long haul at least, but he was ok with that he was almost tranquil at the thought of being left to his own devices, to do the work that needed to be done and of course, learn the research behind it after all.

As he worked on the body, he would send a few vials of blood off for examination to take place, he did need to know the answer for what had caused the blood to change, he needed science behind it and wanted to have proof of what could have caused this situation to take place. As he looked at the liquid in the vial that he collected, it was something that he would need to analyze under a microscope, and he would do just that, looking at the mutations that had changed the blood slightly causing more questions to be created than answers if he was being honest with himself.

As he left that thought to one side, it was time to take out the organs, placing them on a work tray beside the body, if anything he was being respectful to the man. Looking at each organ, it seemed that the man's body had changed, allowing this man to gain abilities in allowing blood flow, as well as physical adaptation to take place in his body, it seemed that his heart had also changed to allow for the blood to flow easier, this was all coming together in a few moments, it was clear that the man had unlocked his abilities and in doing so his body had also changed.

Adapting and overcoming any challenge that came its way, it was interesting to see how adaptable humanity was when push came to shove, he had to respect that, and he did respect that. Yet it seemed that he was going to be getting the answers to the question from different places, as he looked at the man in front of him, his blood had changed, and his organs had changed. With that being said the man was bigger than normal as well, meaning that he did change outside as well he pondered as he looked over the dossier.

The lungs would be a glance as he didn't want to focus on them right now but with the change to the body, the growth, and the abnormal changes, he wanted to check one last thing, to narrow everything down the man's stomach was the last part for Akira to check, if his assumptions were correct he was looking at an Akamichi but the stomach would give that answer away or not as he noted down everything found so far.

Examining the stomach was always the least preferred part of any autopsy, but it could also be the most enlightening. Akira knew this, and would be able to confirm his assumptions almost immediately upon opening the stomach. The stomach was larger than normal, with signs of continued burning inside presenting similar scar tissue to that seen in the lungs. Small tubliur vents lined the stomach and appeared to line up with chakra pathways. This and the significant lack of anything of note in the stomach contents could lead Akira to follow the thread he was already pulling on. This was a member of the Akamichi bloodline, with it's Yang Release technique being the source of the growth and changes in the body. This technique allowed members of this clan to burn physical energy and produce transformations of the body, though there are many other applications of the technique this one was famous amongst the Akamichi clan. The high acidic volumes only further confirmed this assumption for Akira.

The lack of stomach contents implied that the man was familiar with this process and would burn the energy produced by his meals in order to use that ability. Though it left a question on why a man suffering from a heart attack would be using this technique so close to death, that was not the concern or purpose of this mission. Akira was now able to say definitively that the bodily changes from bloodline abilities were noticeable, and that with more studies they could begin to analyze each bloodline to understand specific diseases, limitations, and general knowledge for the future of these abilities. The knowledge learned today was simply incredible in a scientific discovery standpoint, as it would allow Akira to perform future studies into more subsets of these abilities, and the leaf village as a whole would have the chance to be a step ahead when it came to the understanding and control of them.

If he was to get more samples, more varieties, maybe then he could begin to understand not only the way that these manifested in the body but also more effective ways to treat each bloodline for bettering their ailments, or in the case of military application better ways to stop them from working. This shift in the tide was incredibly important for all medical research as it has the chance to improve the overall health and reduce recovery time for shinobi injured in the line of duty. If he was to get access to more bloodlines, it was possible he would be able to do the same sort of investigation on those bodies. The unfortunate reality of the situation though was that the variety amongst the abilities might mean that there was variety amongst the changes to the body as well. Akira was right to be left with more questions than answers, but so was the nature of this sort of work.

He would be able to collect his things, close the body up, and write down his notes without issue. He had completed his mission, though admittedly it had taken quite a long time to get it to the point he was finished and happy with the results. He could return his reports to the main desk, and with that what little time was left in his day was his own to do with as he saw fit, having moved the village one step closer into understanding the complexities of the world around them. Now knowing what he did, that fire of curiosity began to only grow inside his mind. He was could feel himself already planning his next trip down to the morgue, his next study, and was hoping that maybe the next would produce something new and exciting. This rush was going to be one that he could feel for a long time, so long as it kept moving forward in discovery of course.

Akira continued probing the man's body as he allowed himself a few moments, taking the note down it seemed that most of what he was finding was giving insight into a specific bloodline, he pondered on the application of this information to others, could it be transferred, could it be changed that was a question that he had to ask himself. As he looked down at the notes and finished completing the evidence that he had already collected during this period, he allowed a small pause for himself as he wondered if this would be the start of his plans or if things would even work the way he wanted them.

As he looked down to the stomach, checking for the growth of this final body to make sure that his hunch was correct, it seemed to be confirmed with the appearance of the changes here as well as the chakra pathways that the body had created from this organ. He removed the organ as well and made a note to make sure that this would be sent off for testing and analysis as well to get all the information on the changes, as he placed it like the other organs into a small sealed bag.

He stood for a moment silent in the room and looked down at the body, it was clear that he had completed most of the work and had found the research to indicate that his hunch on this matter was indeed a correct one and that with these small changes to the body, this had been a key factor in unlocking the bloodline before him, the question was though would this work with a blood transfusion or would the organs also need to be transplanted, could someone without a bloodline be given this one?

Akira would have to look into this further, as he felt his curiosity about this situation only grew further over the past day in regards to this matter, as he wanted to make sure that the information could be used to assist the village if the situation should arrive. As he watched a nurse come to collect the organs and blood, he began the job of putting the man's flesh back together, at least the family could have the burial that they required he wasn't as harsh as to keep that from them, no he knew that a person body was important for closure. And with that, he had got he research he required.
