Summoner Kuro sat in a meditative position with his prosthetic left leg crossed over the top of his right. Were it not for the runic markings annotating the endoskeletal points of maintenance, few would notice it was not his original leg from mid-thigh down. Summoner Kuro would openly bask in the sun in the courtyard as he found himself able to actively interpret the energy of nature around him. At first Kuro had thought it was this avatar’s particular eyesight and chakra manipulation but it was more than that. He could feel it was through the lessons from his contract companion. Hyouhage aided Kuro in mastering the call of natural chakra by showing him how those of the feline contract did so.

The middle aged panther Summons watched Kuro with sharp eyes though not as all encompassing as Summoner Kuro's own. He repeated the mantra for Summoner Kuro's lesson on natural chakra. "This is nature's gift to me, there are many gifts like it but this gift is mine. I will receive and protect my gift. Natural chakra is the savior of lives..."<i></i>

Summoner Kuro would repeat Hyouhage’s mantra as his own
"THIS… is nature's gift to me…

Hyouhage would watch as motes of natural chakra would begin to become visible to the naked eye verifying that Summoner Kuro was indeed learning to call upon it. Since the lessons were working Hyouhage pushed Summoner Kuro onward.
"WHO is the summoner?
WHAT CAN HE OR SHE DO THAT NO ONE ELSE CAN?
WHEN DOES A SUMMONER CALL FOR THEIR ALLY?
WHERE DO WE CALL UPON AN ALLY?

Summoner Kuro would answer Hyouhage’s questions in sequence as his body and the area around him began to glow as Hyouhage imparted his ANCIENT WISDOM upon him.

Hyouhage noted the levels of natural chakra gathered by Kuro’s motionless pull upon nature were reasonably high and as such would allow Summoner Kuro to take them in and make them a part of him.
"Good the time is right and you have remained still long enough to call out to nature’s chakra. Remember this feeling, master it and take in some of nature’s bounty and make it your own energy create a separate wellspring of chakra within your heart so that nature may aid you. Breathe it in, feel your body’s response and then awaken SAGE MODE."<i></i>

Summoner Kuro maintained his meditative position as runes began to spread all over his body and his runic tiger stripes began to glow. It was the exact opposite of the cursed seals he used to wield instead of every ounce of inner strength being pulled out he was being filled with the magnificence of nature. He didn’t even notice that he was standing when his eyes finally opened anew. He had achieved SAGE MODE, he smiled and in the distant throne room his original form and devil blood body smiled as this was a lesson his original form could never have learned due to his natural dark chakra. It would have corrupted everything just as Sousuke was always quick to point out.

Lesson Learned… Now to aid his Avatars in balancing the multiple chakra’s within them. Kyojin had shed a great deal of their burden empowering and redeeming Azusa now they need only use what remained to free that which was their original source of strength. It was time to free Hyakujuuonouu’s spirit from his stone prison.

Kazuki had recently underwent a series of changes that had radically changed him. The Sacred Tree had began calling him, insistently so, an event that had never happened before, judging from the lack of records in the Senju Archives. When the Senju Overlord had joined Sunagakure, he had done so with untold mastery over shadows, something, probably stemming from his dormant Deep Court genes. After awakening those, with the help of Mother Suna, the White Wolf's ability grew higher than ever before. Unfortunately, fate had other plans for the Shadow Sword and with the awakening of natural energy around the world, something triggered a response from the Senju's Tree and it began calling for Reaper. After reaching the Sacred Tree, the Sennin's body was rewritten, his human genes altered to encompass a natural ability to sense and utilize the so called natural energy, losing a great portion of his shadow prowess in the process. Every Senju is born with predisposition to utilize the Wood Element and so did the Deep Court Hybrid, but after the change was complete, the Death Court Lord found himself with such ability to wield the Wooden nature that it practically rivaled what he used to have with the Shadowy one. Being a Sage of the Dark arts, Kazuki's natural energy was not exactly like the normal one a few could wield, his own had been twisted to accommodate for his darker powers. His connection to it was still virtually identical.

Kazuki was in his private study, located deep within the Senju wing of the Toraono Dojo when he sensed a disturbance in the natural energy of the area. This shift was located near and so, troubled by what he was sensing, the Senju Overlord stored the charts he had been studying and went outside, trying to locate the source. Eventually he would find Toraono Kuro or, at least, one of his paths, meditating in the middle of the courtyard, being bathed by warm sun rays. There was a humanoid panther near him. "Brother Kuro." he would greet.

Hyouhage felt his approach first, an instinctual response to a sage as it were. The Toraono Household was a meeting ground for such beings. Summoner Kuro stood from his meditative position as his new sage senses reached out and took in Kazuki's change since the dark chakra of the world had been torn asunder and the natural chakra of the world had emerged it seemed Sages were the first to change with it.

"Brother Kazuki, it seems I was not the only one to experience a change... allow me to introduce my partner and teacher in sage arts Hyouhage of the Panther Tribe within the feline contract."<i></i>

Hyouhage would bow at the waist in recognition of another sage.
"It is an honor to meet another sage, my instincts and senses tell me your mastery of life and death exceeds that of my current ally. He is preparing to do something unprecedented but then again everything he has done since I have known him has been beyond the realm of normal activity. Would you care to aid Sage Kuro in the revival of his ancestor Hyakujuuonouu? Since he is an ancient demon beast his life energy and soul still exist as part of a reincarnation pact with a tenchi. Kuro has theorized that since we are in possession of his soul, a portion of his original body, and have access to working cloning technology we can release his soul from the petrified body it inhabits and place it in a humanoid body manufactured from his original cells. His ancestor would never attain the amount of power his original form was capable of possessing but he would be free of the construct and capable of living a life of his own since his life was cut short eons ago."<i></i>

Summoner Kuro would nod his head about their current plans.
"Brother Kazuki, I would never ask you for such aid as I do not know what ravages your body would endure for calling upon souls the way I do, my process is very... violent to say the least and the strain upon my soul immense. I actually couldn't even think of a way to repay you at the moment. As I have known you, you would help me with just about anything."<i></i>

Hyouhage would then have an idea of his own for compensation.
"Actually I have a way to compensate him should he assist us. Lord Kazuki... would you be interested in learning SAGE MODE? It is a way to master Natural Energy in a manner only one step above your current capabilities if my senses are not fooled by your current capacity. I would be honored to teach you and should you call upon an ally such as myself we can all go through the steps of attaining sage mode together."<i></i>

The present path would stand up from his meditative position to greet Kazuki. Upon hearing what the summon had said, Kuro would nod before he requested something from the White Wolf. "Brother Kazuki, I would never ask you for such aid as I do not know what ravages your body would endure for calling upon souls the way I do, my process is very... violent to say the least and the strain upon my soul immense. I actually couldn't even think of a way to repay you at the moment. As I have known you, you would help me with just about anything." The Shadow Sword would stand there, motionless and silently, pondering. What the Toraono Warlord wanted to do could prove to be immensely dangerous. What if his ancestor had not so noble intentions after all? There was always the chance of corruption, given even the most noble beast could fell to the dark side of things, with enough time. But still, the White Wolf was confident in his ability to control demons. He had done so many times before and he had never encountered a demon that could resist him, even Tadao's inner one never fully did. "Kuro, we have made a pact, we are blood brothers. I have a blood debt with you and I intend to repay it. What you aid can I provide?" Reaper would tell him. He had a debt that could never be payed entirely, but he was certain he could slowly decrease it. One step at a time.

Hearing what his summoner had said, Hyouhage reached a decision and offered some sort of payment. "Actually I have a way to compensate him should he assist us. Lord Kazuki... would you be interested in learning SAGE MODE? It is a way to master Natural Energy in a manner only one step above your current capabilities if my senses are not fooled by your current capacity. I would be honored to teach you and should you call upon an ally such as myself we can all go through the steps of attaining sage mode together." "Sage mode you say?" the Sennin would mutter. He had heard tales about the capabilities such ability endowed the user. The ability to gain traits from the contracts one had signed. Immensely useful depending on what races one had signed contracts with.

"Kuchiyose no Jutsu" Kazuki would proclaim. A surge of chakra later and a golden armored humanoid would stand beside the Death Court Lord.​

Hyouhage would call upon the natural chakra within the shadows beneath their feet and draw it into a fist sized orb before leaving it levitating behind him and walking away. True to his nature Kazuki had summoned a great spirit to aid him in mastering sage mode. Hyouhage would bow before the summoned kami before he began. Summoner Kuro released his natural chakra pool and felt refreshed all the same as normally releasing chakra meant being tired. It was definitely a new feeling.

" As I am certain that your ally already knows sages such as yourself and Toraono Kuro are very attuned to certain chakras. I myself am attuned to jungles and shadows, Kuro is attuned to almost all chakras in retrospect but im-particular fire and wind. To take a step beyond the mere elements is to call upon the ambient chakra of all things. As a purveyor of life and death you are likely more than capable of holding still for a few moments to call upon nature's chakra to aid you Sage Kazuki. Kuro is easily motivated to draw upon nature by confidence and a militant mindset. I am uncertain if that is the case for you however so I would ask your ally to demonstrate HIS method of calling upon the natural chakra of the world and then you would simply mimic him by remaining perfectly still outside of breathing and then envisioning the pull of energy that natural chakra would respond to in you. Please observe Brother Kuro's example."</COLOR><i></i>

Summoner Kuro would sit meditatively leaving himself wife open as he closed his eyes and took deep purposeful breaths.
As he did so Kazuki would again feel the lurching pull or call of energy he had felt inside the compound near the sacred tree.
Summoner Kuro's eyes were already impossibly strong but as he allowed his focus to shift his eyes would begin to glow with a soft golden light as motes of energy would rise from all around them, even Kazuki and his ally's clothing and settle around and literally embrace Summoner Kuro.
Kazuki could literally see Summoner Kuro's aura now, it was dense, not quite cold, not warm but brisk and full of wind with streaks of fiery power. It would swirl all around him before settling on his body like a mantle then it sunk into his flesh and in return runes emerged making Summoner Kuro look far more bestial and catlike than ever. Summoner Kuro stood after five seconds of channeling and unleashed a devastating roar that shook the chamber. An obvious ability that only felines could produce. He then turned and smiled at Kazuki as he cycled the natural chakra through his hands and his prosthetic leg allowing the golden runes to shimmer.

With a smile Summoner Kuro would nod to Kazuki and speak out his voice more bestial than ever had a resounding echo within it as he said. <COLOR color="cyan">"NOW YOU TRY BROTHER..."<i></i>

Kareso's appearance would provoke a bow from Kuro's summon. "As I am certain that your ally already knows sages such as yourself and Toraono Kuro are very attuned to certain chakras. I myself am attuned to jungles and shadows, Kuro is attuned to almost all chakras in retrospect but im-particular fire and wind. The Warlord of the Toraono clan would close his eyes and immediately right after, the Senju Overlord would begin feeling the very same sensation that had draw him toward the place he was currently in. It would seem that the Boarder Sennin was drawing energy from the natural world, condensing it inside his frame and then using it to enhance himself. Eventually he would open up his eyes, showing they had underwent a subtle change, beginning to lightly glow with a golden light. Kuro's aura would manifest itself becoming visible to the naked eye, an aura of wind with streaks of fiery power, that would eventually settle as a mantle. After that, runes would emerge all over the path's body and the Toraono Warlord would become far more bestial and catlike. "NOW YOU TRY BROTHER..." the Boarder Sennin would announce, his voice a tad more bestial than ever before.

"It seems you taken on some properties of the Feline Contract I would say." the White Wolf would note before mimicking Kuro's seating position. Kareso would position itself behind his master, his metallic hand touching the Shadow Sword's shoulder. Both would close their eyes and the Kami would began using its contract summon nature to begin calling natural energy toward its being. The physical contact allowed Reaper to feel what the summon was doing, to know the sensation, without actually doing it. Kareso would eventually release the gathered energy and a calm aura would invade the room. Remembering Hyouhage's instructions, the Occult Sennin remained perfectly still and he began using his newfound connection to the natural world to muster some of its energy to his own uses. Moments later there would be a sudden shift in the mood of the room as natural energy began to be drawn toward Kazuki. While Kuro's aura had been mainly about of wind and fire, the Senju Overlord's was vastly different. There was no elemental nature associated to it, although he had an unnatural affinity towards Wood. His aura was entirely associated with Yin and Yang, Life and Death, Human and Ancient, a dual and opposite nature, wrestling for control within. The aura would expand outwards with no discernible shape, only to be quickly sucked in. As the White Wolf opened up his eyes, his naturally black irised eyes had gained a light bluish glow, while golden runes would cover the Shadow Sword's body. His supernatural coldness aura had been magnified by this new power he had just found out.

"Is this it?" he would question as he watched his runic covered hands.

Summoner Kuro would stand willing the natural chakra within his immediate body to rest in his heart and with that thought all of the runes upon his body seemed to expand from his chest outward. With his control centered he resumed a normal voice although his appearance said he was still in sage mode. "That is exactly how it works Brother Kazuki, with Sage Mode we have a few moments of power where we can use all of nature to aid us and allow us to perform our normal jutsu in a more powerful manner. This strength is the opposite of my demon powers. What about you, how does the natural chakra express itself in your body?"<i></i>

Kazuki could see immediately that Kuro's natural chakra expressed itself in a holy manner like Kareson's. Kazuki might test his sage arts on the area to ascertain how is natural chakra usage flowed.

To demonstrate Summoner Kuro levitated several large boulders which he could usually only do when his original body was in full demon form and the strain of his demon form would have cost him health in exchange for power but as of now it was only nature’s chakra supplementing and replacing his normal legendary chakra. It was quite an accomplishment.
Summoner Kuro’s holy glow seemed to augment his every aspect but it was fleeting. He set the boulder’s down gently as he felt his usage of natural energy begin to fade away. His runes would fade away as well signaling that he had used all the natural chakra he had gathered. Hyouhage would compliment them both on being such astute and fast learners. It would only be a matter of time before they had gathered enough strength to actually revive Hyakujuuonouu. Kuro in all his forms sighed contentedly at that very moment before they resumed their individual tasks in sequence to prepare for their fated plan. They would free their bound ancestor and wield their own power instead of his.

To demonstrate what he had just said, the Toraono Warlord would begin levitating very large boulders, something he would not be able to pull off if his body wasn't being fueled by natural energy. Sage mode was finite though and has the holy glow around the Border Sennin's body decreased, so lower the boulders became until they touched the ground. Judging from what he had just seen, the Senju Overlord deduced that the Sage Mode endowed the user with great power for a fleeting moment. A moment where all limitations were lifted and things normally impossible became possible and, perhaps, mundane. It would seem Kuro wanted him to test himself under the effects of his own Sage Mode and the White Wolf was going to do exactly that.

By focusing all the natural energy he had gathered before, the Shadow Sword was going to do something he had never tried before. He was going to bring forth all the souls under his command and manifest them all at once. There would be a series of shadowy flashes and sudden increase of pressure as Kazuki's seemingly endless host began to emerge from the void. Kuro and Occult Sennin, plus their summons, had been standing in a very spacious place that had just become very, very crowded. The list of beings Reaper had summon was apparently infinite and the list simply kept growing each day. The Deep Court Hybrid had never done something that like before. A few individuals had seen most of his host once, but through mental images, never having manifested in the physical realm like they were doing at the moment. However, they couldn't remain there forever. As the natural energies within Kazuki's body began to wane, so did the Senju Overlord's army. One by one they began to disappear. "Impressive." the White Wolf would mutter once the host fully vanished.​

Kuro sat down refreshed yet lightly strained from the entirety of his usage of natural chakra. He smiled as a hard memory came to mind. "The last time I was able to simply lift that much mass telekinetically I was in demon form in my original body using a cursed heaven seal master rank. I literally burned through four weeks of life force whereas now as long as I am careful I can accomplish the same feat without tearing away the life energy of anyone or anything. I was helping lift structures from the attack of a monstrous entity named Djinn. Myself, Sousuke, and Mikaboshi sealed him as a statue in the central plaza. After learning sage mode I now understand how he was so strong, he was drawing from the strength of nature and the light of the sun itself. Unlucky for him as long as either I or Mikaboshi exist in either physical or spiritual capacity he can never get free of that seal since it uses his own limitless energy to maintain it. Through Sage mode I will be able to free my ancestor from his eternal physical prison without having to directly burn life energy through dark chakra. I never thought I would truly wield holy energies outside of my medic form as that avatar was originally a human priest of Onmyouji blood. What I mean to say is I am happy that you are here to help me discover new possibilities and document them for history even as I prepare for the end of days. The world is changing again and I am not certain I will be able to change with it this time."<i></i>

Kuro truly wished to lash out at the Daimyo before he no longer had the power to do so. Everything the Daimyo did to the Ancients eventually affected nature as a whole since the Ancients were true elementals and facets of the world itself. Mother Suna's earth graced wrath twisted inside Akuma Kuro tainting his decisions and changing his view of the world bit by bit. He had expelled some of that power to empower a new leader for the clan but even now the wrath threatened to swallow him up.

How are you going to use Sage Mode to free your ancestor?" the White Wolf would inquire. He would then assume a slight expression of concern. What did Kuro mean with not being able to flow with the world?

"Mutation is not always easy and we always resist to change, but it is never impossible to change. The world is surely changing and will change with it. I have underwent more changes since I have joined Sunagakure than in the rest of my life, despite my short tenure here." Reaper would note. Kuro was acting strange since the meeting with Sousuke where they learned Katsuo was the new Kazekage. The Toraono Warlord was a mythical figure in Sand and the Death Court Lord was going to ensure it stayed that way.​

Summoner Kuro stretched as he reviewed his plans and scientific journals. "I have analyzed the differences between my core and my ancestor’s petrified core. If Kazuki had understood it correctly and given he was well versed in most scientific disciplines of the world, he should have, the Toraono Warlord and Daibatsu had used DNA samples from the Sennin's ancestor along with Kuro's own to create a clone. A clone capable of enduring the demonic energies of the demonbeast. The Boarder Sennin would transfer the chakra and he needed the White Wolf to transfer the being's soul. And he was going to use Suna's chakra, the one she had given to the Toraono Warlord, to finalize the deal and make it permanent. It was a bold plan but it could work.

Kuro would nod as they gathered materials for their journey into the desert. "Actually since we are taking directly from Hyakujuuonouu in stone form there is no chance at corruption since he has not changed over eons. He won't like being small but he will like being free."
The lifewater capsule containing the soulless cloned child was gestating in a large carry along kit. Like a backpack for carrying a giant egg or large amount of weapons. The cargo kit was set to keep the capsule at an optimum temperature and environment for growth. It also bathed the growing body in pheromones necessary for allowing it to grow at a heightened state without losing its more human-like features otherwise the body would take on full demonbeast capacity and become a feline monstrosity capable of devouring souls, genetics, and chakra alike. Kuro had planned everything as best he could to ensure that his ancestors freedom from being a power conduit at the heart of his sage abilities was seamless. If Kuro was able to gather more assistance he could have an even higher chance at success but even still the main players himself and Kazuki were there and with Sage chakra accessible they could not fail.
