Hakuren was an interesting boy with two mothers. Hakuren sometimes refer to the one as father considering the fact that he was physically male. Every family had some strange quirks; his maybe stranger than others. The last name Hakuren holds is one that his father held before joining the clan. There are some that have some negative feeling towards the clan and children do tend to mirror the parents; sometimes in violent ways. They thought giving him and his twin sister the family name Nanachi would be best. It was Hakuren’s father that scheduled a meeting between Akkuma and Hakuren.
Hakuren was named after his mother’s best friend Taisen Hakuren. He was a little different from your usual student. He was your classic bookworm and always has a book with him. Tucked under his arm was a black book with words of silver. Leabhar na Geasa was written on the cover, which translated to Book of Spells. It was his mother’s book. In the book were lists of small incantations written in a runic language; three words or less. His mother writes these spells in a certain way on paper talismans and use them as trap. In essence the book was all about Fūinjutsu (Sealing Techniques) and Hakuren wants to now more. Akazukin, his mother, informs him that Akkuma know of some techniques she does not such as summoning. Hakuren is also aware that Akkuma knows techniques that places the seal directly on a person and gives them powers.
Hakuren enters into the Torano dojo an hour before the scheduled time. When it came to the academy Hakuren was the first to enter the classroom for a class. Hakuren likes to be early unlike his sister that often comes in late. His sister expressed interest in seeing Akkuma as well but she did not come along with him. Perhaps she will come by later.

They would arrive at a tunnel which led down to the catacombs. Akkuma would conjure a small flame in his hand to light their way and Hakuren follows suit in his own way. Pulling out a talisman with an Infernal Ember sealed with it, Hakuren would release the jutsu. The talisman bursts into flames but is not consumed by them. Holding the burning paper he follows Akkuma into the darkness. Once they reached the bottom of the tunnel they would enter a massive cave. When Akkuma summons Jinkotsu, Hakuren was caught off guard. The sudden arrival of someone so immense causes Hakuren to jump back. The creature questions the worth of Hakuren and with a brave voice Hakuren replies, “Test me then. Let me prove to you what value I have.” Hakuren want to test this strange curse seal, perhaps this huge demon will give him the opportunity to do just that.
