Name: Fumeke, Juroyo
Age: 10 years old
Gender: Female
Sex: Female
Character's Physical Description: Core ability: Reckless
Juroyo is a fairly short, obviously 'little' girl. Her cute round face marred by her foul tempered frowns. Often seen with her arms crossed and squinting at anyone she is confident she can take. Its not what you would expect from a young lass with melon-green hair held up in two messy buns with pink cheeks.
Due to her tendency to 'rough house', she is almost usually sporting a bandage on her face or a bruise. A couple of her baby teeth have been knocked out giving her a smile that is while charming. Still evidence of how many fights she has been in, (All of them she started mind you.)
But there she is, stomping around with a sucker in her mouth. Poking boys in the chest and telling them to “Lay off!” An expression learned unfortunately from her preferred reading material. She stands exactly at 4'7, and weighs about seventy five pounds but not a scrap more. Often she is seen in dark blue shorts that come just below her knee. They are carefully embroidered with a rolling wave pattern. Done by her mother on the rare occasion she can get Juroyo to wear anything BUT those shorts. As she has rejected the notion of wearing a shift or a dress completely.
They are held up by a “Flashy” white and red belt, that is actually made of old handkerchiefs she knotted together. Her shirt is a plain white tee-shirt with a citrus fruit printed on the chest. She is /never/ seen without her favorite bandanna, its black and printed with skulls. It is always looped around her neck and is her prized possession. Her shoe wear is plain and suited for the rocky area. [/b]
Character's Mental Description: Juroyo puts on a tough act, mostly to hide the fact that she is emotionally sensitive. Her bad temper and off-putting facial expressions are more of a defense mechanism. She is terrified of anyone calling her bluff of being 'the toughest ever'. Especially now that she was /finally/ being forced to join the Iwagakure Ninja Academy.
She's 'More than old enough', according to her slightly vexed parents. But the young street walking bully is trying to avoid growing up, just for one more year. She isn't sure if she /wants/ to be a Nin even if it is expected of her. But she was forced to comply from the simple fact that its This. Or having to get married to a Ninja anyway and then have their /children/.
Ew! she definitely didn't want to deal with that! Kids were gross and that's exactly why she picked on them! That was one thing she really didn't like about her home, how she was expected to do all these things. Juroyo wanted to do her own thing, and that thing was USUALLY picking on anyone she could bully. She leaves older, bigger kids alone. But anyone who shows the slightest weakness to her sneers and solid punches are in for a rough time. Her bookshelf is full of seedy pulp novels about “Tough guy” Characters. All spiked bat wielding, pompadour having bad guys. She looks up to these fictitious characters as desirable role models. More than her parents, much to their patient chagrin.
History: Juroyo comes from a low ranking Nin family. Despite her rough and tumble appearance she is actually comfortable. Always able to come home from a long day of getting in trouble. To be gently scolded by her mother and made to wash up for dinner. The Fumeke parents bare their Daughter's bad temper and mishaps with loving grace. Always believing that she will just “Grow out of it.” They have never even hinted at giving up on her no matter how many parents come over to complain. But end up staying for tea and a few sighs. They are convinced their green haired daughter means no true harm. She's just having a hard time accepting her place in the world.
One rough fit had her exasperated father signing her up for enrollment in the local Ninja academy. This first application was rejected. But several pleading letters and votes of confidences later she was accepted. This was a shock to Juroyo naturally, and she fought it as much as possible. Until of course her parents pulled the trump card that either she settled down and became a good Nin student. Or she was going to have to go to the matchmaker and hope they could find a nice boy to court her.
Of course much to their pleasure this got her to readily agree to go to Nin-training. As well as swear off of spending every afternoon at the magazine store. Browsing the shelves for more titles with her allowance. That was one thing their daughter was reliable for, she was /always/ ready to do her chores. So long as she was getting paid for them. According to her, she shouldn't have to do things outside of her norm. Unless she was gonna earn something for it! That got a cheerful laugh from her dad and a pat on the head. All in all, she was a good kid in his opinion, just slow on the whole 'maturity' thing.
