Name: Domen Fusanosuke Wataro (Fusanosuke)
Age: 13
Gender: Male
Sex: Male
Rank: Academy Student
General Description:
The boy is slight and short, but proportional. He has a square head and pointed jaw. His ears have connected lobes and his eyes are small but wide set. His nose is like a button and his mouth is usually shut tight. His mother keeps his thick brown hair short though it naturally spikes with ample volume. His clothing is well fitted and neat, layering pressed shirts and sturdy fur lined coats. His slacks are soft, tapered, and varying in color. His leather boots are well worn and well maintained. The boy stands with good posture, his back straight and face relaxed. His demeanor is dignified.
The boy is quiet but not shy. He doesn't often speak but acknowledges elders appropriately. He answers questions in class only when called upon, and he always answers correctly. The boy maintains distance from other students and prefers to remain inconspicuous. He is neither overconfident nor lacking in self esteem. He is not calculating or scheming, as some might speculate. He is focused on himself and his work, which he enjoys most of all. The boy desires to be revered for his competency and contribution. No more and no less. That may be his only goal.
History:
The boy's father, also Fusanosuke, was a ninja. He informally retired fifteen years ago after an incident he does not talk about that left him with a limp. He receives a pension and does not work, and he spends his days reading philosophical books and novels. He studies spiritual meditation and has a keen interest in history and religion. He's become well versed in the ancient languages of Kumogakure. When he talks to his son, he is kind and supportive despite his mind permanently residing elsewhere. He is 65 years old and never knew his parents.
The boy's mother, Domen Sano, is a part time seamstress and part time jewler. She is the third of four children of Domen Ruka and Domen Suzuna. Ruka is the acting head of the Domen family estate, a family business specializing in gem mining and jewelry. The boy inherited his family name from his mother's side, a condition from Ruka to support the marriage. Sano's siblings have prominent positions in the family business, but she prefers to keep herself busy in other ways. She met the boy's father shortly after he retired, and they quickly married and had him. Sano was the boy's primary caretaker. She sews his clothing, cuts his hair, and cooks his food. In between parenting, she sells handmade clothing and repairs jewlery, with a cut taken by her father to contribute to the business. She is dexterous, even keeled, and observant. She is 41 years old.
The boy has no siblings.
When Fusanosuke joined the academy, he took great interest in his studies. He loved learning about history, science, culture, and the art of war. He was among the best of the students on his written tests, but was average on a good day as a combatant. He enjoyed the running, climbing, strength, and flexibility training, but was lacking instinct in hand to hand. He strives to improve.
