Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kakigori Gang Leader
Sunomono

Every village has their slums, and within those slums, the perfect conditions for an underworld is born. The poverty of one is shared by many in this world, the Pearl Tenements named so inappropriately after something of beauty, when in reality the truth was far from anything of beauty. Many youngsters, starved of opportunity, turned to local gangs to earn their keep and a place within a stable family. Almost all of the gangs, and their members, were from broken homes and sought refuge from their worthless, poor lives. They believed that a life of crime was the only opportunity to life, and even thrive. Within Iwagakure there was a great many gangs, who gave themselves clan titles, which were never spoken about to outsiders only to those within said gangs. Every gang had their leader, a complete reprobate of society, but none more so than the King Pin of the Iwa underworld: Sunomono, who controlled the largest gang faction in all of Iwa.

When Sunomono was younger, it has been said that he gained a reputation as a cut throat for hire, even at the bold age of 11. Not much is known about his past, his family, but his reputation among the gangs of Iwa is fierce and frightening. However the leader of one of the largest criminal factions is on the move, ransacking local business on the outskirts of town from the prayerful eyes of Guardians and other "angels". A methodical and ruthless killer, Sunomono leaves no victims, cutting down even children in front of their families for any reason; more commonly it would be things like protection payments that weren't paid on time and so forth. The ransacking, even for a bunch of ruthless men and women, was done quietly and during the night with the help of Sunomono's pay rolled officers of the law, trained shinobi who valued a pretty penny over the life of the Iwa citizens. The screams of those innocents, who had the unfortunate luck of living within the poorest area of the village, were helpless as their homes and belongings were ripped away from their hands and destroyed. Many of the people were placed, quite easily, into genjutsu illusions that evaded the need for them to scream and call for help. This prevented the women from fighting back in the male members of the Kakigori clan decided to rape, or if the women decided to do the same to the male citizens.

The genjutsu was easily broken but that was only to the trained mind. But on this night, things would change, and the those whose hearts grew blacker would come together and overthrow this evil and replace it with another. The territory, the power and the wealth that came with the Kakigori gang would be all too enticing for those even tingled by the thought of gaining control over such an organization should their leader fall. Fate was a convenient thing, and through whatever means, it would place those blackened hearts into the fold on that night during the attack on the Pearl Tenements. You may ask, or wonder, why other authorities would not arrive that night and that would be down to the special barrier erected by Sunomono's personal squad. They were taught a jutsu, by Sunomono, that would allow them to encompass the slums in a barrier that shaped itself like a dome - invisible to those on the outside. And to those praying eyes from the outside, the barrier would disguise the violence in an illusion. The outer shell casted an illusion across its membrane that showed peace and tranquility and gave off nor reason to investigate.

But as mentioned before, fate would have already set its players into the fold during the attack for whatever reason they had found themselves their that night. One possible reason could be that they themselves were delving into the underworld, much like Engei, for answers and found out that the Kakigori gang were planning this attack so thought it appropriate to take the clan leader position from Sunomono. However, it was a task he wouldn't be able to achieve by himself. The leader had multiple former shinobi working for him, many of whom were powerful in their own right, and assistance would be required for this plan to come together. The night was dark, and inside the erected barrier, the chessboard was set and the players prepared to make their move...

... Engei was investigating into the identity of his sister's attacker, as he did most nights, having received no help from other figures of authority. He distinctly did not trust the Guardians and wouldn't ask them for help given that it was potentially a former Guardian who had destroyed Oda's body, reduced her to a chair for life and killed her other half. The Chuunin was dressed in his usual attire, a chuunin flak jacket and matching items, he held his sheathed blade with had two golden ribbons loosely wrapped around the hilt of the blade. He perched himself in a dark alley, arching his head around a street corner as he watched men and women being marched out of their homes in a state of vagueness, their eyes and bodies both dulled with some type of illusion. The thugs began their work, raping the women and beating the men and vice versa if they felt like it. Engei gripped onto his sword but did not move, he couldn't as he was far outnumbered by about 20 to 1. But that wasn't all, he could feel the presence of someone or perhaps even certain people approach. The Chuunin would ready himself to face a potential enemy, but who would arrive?
