Within Amy's workshop, three Suchiru teenagers were hard at work crafting a massive order of gears and bolts for a local engineer. The one crafting the largest parts was none other than Amejisuto herself, the heir to the current clan leader, her long red hair – as always – pulled back in a thick braid that hung down the middle of her back and swung happily back and forth with each swing of her hammer.. The other two teenagers were two of her cousins, both enlisted to help complete the incredible order by the end of the day.
The youngest of the two boys groaned as he finished one more small gear and tossed it into the crate with the other thousand tiny parts. “Aaaamy...how many more do I have to make?! I'm tiiiired.”
With a roll of her emerald green eyes, the young master blacksmith turned to the boy and shook her head, “I know you're tired, we all are, but I need you to fill that box the rest of the way and then I will treat us all to dinner, somewhere nice too!” Her voice held a level of exhaustion that wasn't normally present in the tone of the teenage girl, she was so used to her days being filled with work, more work, and training, so she had built up somewhat of a tolerance to exhaustion, but making thousands of copies of the same five inch gear was really wearing on her nerves, not to mention the whining of the two boys.
With a sigh, she turned and dunked her head into the barrel that was full of water. As she resurfaced, her long plait swung through the air, spraying the boys with a mixture of sweat and luke-warm water. “Heyy!” They cried in unison, laughter now returning to the room's atmosphere.
“That's more like it,” Amy said with a smile, “let's finish all this up. We're almost done, I give it another hour if we can keep focused then we'll get cleaned up and get some grub!” Nodding as the boys continued their work with renewed fervor, Amy returned to her work as well, and as she had guessed, the order was completed in another fifty minutes. “Okay boys, you go get cleaned up, let your parents know that I'm taking you out, and meet me back here in another hour – I've gotta go deliver this stuff.”
With that, the redhead loaded the crates full of parts into her cart and took off at a run toward the other end of the district.
