Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

*clang* *clang* *clang*

A man pounded a long metal stake into the ground. On the stake affixed was a worn sign, announcing simply:
[legend="The Sign"]
GENIN Exam

Report to Project Rebirth at dawn
<i></i>[/legend]

There was not much to go on, the simple sign was simply a direction and nothing more. The nameless, faceless man left the site wordlessly leaving only this sign in his wake.

Exam will start tomorrow. Post here if you are interested (preferably in-character). You have until Wed July 1, 2015 to post in the actual RP thread.

Since only a short while after he arrived in the Sand village, Kato had been frequenting the villages academy training grounds both to work on his own training, as well as to relive happier memories. It was simply happenstance that as he was nearing the end of training one day, a clanging in the distance caught Kato's attention. He ripped open a bag of chips, and squatted down as he ate, slowly recovering a small amount of the chakra he had expended. After the years alone he didn't have near the appetite for junk he used to, but his Akimichi blood still found benefit from a Munchie Break now and then.

When he finished the bag he stood up and stretched. He slung his shoulderpack on, and on his way out of the training grounds, stop to investigate the clanging he heard earlier. A shabby sign stood there declaring that Sand would be holding their Genin exams in the morning. All of a sudden Kato felt incredibly homesick, as a voice in his head whispered, "You're pathetic."<i></i>

((OoC: Hey, so first off feel free to ignore this completely if I'm out of line. I know this is for sand students, but ICly Kato never took a genin exam, so wondering if it would be ok if he just shows up and attempts to take part IC? Just seems like the right move for him right now, and I feel like it would be a cool part of his story, but understand entirely if this is not allowed. Figured I should at least ask lol))

I always let everyone join my stuff. Also, I can add you to Sand Skype if you are interested. We are a pretty friendly bunch but hard to interact with unless you know where we are. =) My name: bladerun40

It was the end of normal class day at the academy; and Kagari was about to head home. Today's session was the usual; theory, ninjas, history, and the occasional practical training session. It irked him how a lack of actual hands on expierence he was getting each day at the academy, he knew that he was held back because he had entered the academy at a older age than usual. Being thirteen amongst the the many kids younger then him felt slightly embarassing, but never resented it. As Kagari packed his things, he heard a loud distinct noise outside of the classroom. "*clang* *clang* *clang*" he heard as he noticed many of his fellow students exiting the classroom and going towards the source of the noise. Kagari followed the many students heading to the source's origin. Many students after reading the sign headed back to their homes or classrooms. Many of the students were talking loudly; he oculd hear any of the words but some voices got through. "Seriously? Man I don't think I'm ready for this..." Kagari overhead a voice in the crowd. "I feel sorry for anyone who's going to take it tomorrow..." Another voice said, this time distinctly feminine. "Screw that, I got better things to do..." A voice said, what sounded to be like an older boy. 'Let's see what's causing a stir...' Kagari mentally said as he tired to get a clear view of the sign.

An old wooden sign attatched to a metal rod stuck in the ground between the academy's open hallways. It was in the sort of "central" ground where it bridged the various classrooms, facilities, and training grounds around the academy. In the middle of the Central courtyard was that wooden sign that read:

GENIN Exam

Report to Project Rebirth at dawn
<i>
</i>

Kagari now knew why everyone was talking; a chance for any of the academy students to graduate; it they passed. Failing meant repeating or worse, so many sounded hesitant to even read the words out loud. Kagari had heard rumours from various students that the genin exams had a nasty reputation. Many didn't make it, which Kagari thought was just people making it worse than it actually was. Maybe it was desinged to weed out those who couldn't succeed as shinobi.

The only way to find out though was to actually take the exams, and Kagari was determined to do so. 'This is my chance to make some actual money for mom. But...that's if i pass..' Kagari thought to himself. 'No, I have to pass it! I don't want to see a single day where mom lives in that hellhole...' Kagari clenched his fists and started to make his way out of the academy and back to his home. He looked over his shoulder one more time, 'Tomorrow...' then turned and left the academy.

Noroi went to class today, and had a fairly normal one. It was what came after surprised him. 'Exams?!' He thought nervously, but he nodded subconsciously. When Noroi first entered the school. He wanted to do his best and move along as quickly as possible. Now this was his chance! He was at an average age to graduate and become a real shinobi, but he had a slight fear in him too, like he would fail, then what? Another few more years of the academy? He looked up at the sky, and made a promise to his parents that he would do his best at this, then went home to work on work and homework.

Sweat trickled down Yumi's face as she wearily dragged herself across the grounds towards the facility's exit. With her bag slung over her shoulder, she noticed a few students lingering around a new addition to the ground. She moved over towards the small gathering, which was more interested to talking within itself than reading the sign. Wiggling her way around them she got a good look at the sign and her heart skipped a beat. The examination was t...tomorrow!? She quickly turned and pushed through the crowd with her left hand as she suppressed her fatigue and began to run herself home. If this was true, she didn't have much time to prepare. This was her chance to prove them wrong... or to prove them right....

There is no excuse for my tardiness. My keyboard was busted and my phone has been refusing to get an adequate charge. In any case, this exam is my next stop.
