Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Sarunishi had decided to take a minor detour from going back into the Maelstrom and instead made his way towards the man made structure that was just...out in the desert. He'd once again wrapped up his skull to hid his underlying skin. He really didn't like being hassled as rudely as he was upon the gate, but that was the way of the world. People would be cautious, suspicious, and lie. He was doing it so they should too. Unfortunately, his request for a higher ranking official had been denied due to rudeness. Too bad he didn't catch their names. At least he'd remember what they looked like, faces exposed or not. That was one thing he prided himself on. He rarely forgot anything. It might be a jumbled mess of labyrinthine neural pathways, but he sure as hell could get through it better than anyone else. Having been immobile for so long really had taken a toll on his body.

Aimlessly, Sarunishi approached the building that was before him. Politely, he knocked on the doors, if there were doors. If there was an open gate he'd just wander through. Really, if nothing was physically barring his way, he would just mill about until someone approached him. If for some reason there was a portal or otherwise he'd need to open, he'd do what was appropriate. He'd announce his presence with a hello if the doors were standard Japanese doors or if they were more like those doors which had handles and so forth, he'd knock once again. It didn't really matter. He was just sort of buying some time before venturing back into the sands. It wasn't really hot, but it did buffet his skin and that was more than annoying. He'd already been worn down by time. No more. Sarunishi's mind wandered and he sat down wherever it was and then stretched out, laying down. Oh well.

Nestled along the dunes near the oasis is the dojo an ancient stone building a former coliseum converted by Toraono Kaibudo and his wife Queen Nobuku Azame into a special domed dojo; a place of perpetual learning for the martial arts, and combat at its finest. One side was dedicated to weapons more specifically the sword but weapons the other side of the house was dedicated to unarmed combat. A finesse and power that was understandably overwhelming and set for bloodletting. The stone pillars upholding the building were set with skill, chakra, and care to promote maximum stability throughout the entire structure. The dome was added to promote an atmosphere and provide air conditioning in a round-about way through specially placed vents. The floors of special marble in some areas were be-speckled and set apart by floors coated with special disinfected sand that wouldn't infect a bloodied warrior. Weapons racks lined the walls of the second area with meticulous care in stands. On the northern side of the dojo were padded wraps and leggings, for martial arts training. The Toraono Clan Dojo once sat at just over thirty feet in height with an additional ten feet higher in dome. The steps leading up to the main antechamber were an odd sand red marble, brown marble stained by bloodied sand. Six chambers were divided in shapes necessary to provide optimum training in various forms of combat. Two more additions had been made due to the children of the Toraono clan actually becoming full-fledged ninja were dedicated to ninjutsu and genjutsu. The ninjutsu chamber was in an underground cavern while the genjutsu chamber was in a calm hand dug bath chamber irrigated ever so slightly by the Oasis itself and heated by the sun.

The entire east wing of the Dojo and a portion of the coliseum itself were restructured from a small mountain. The massive amounts of Earth chakra released by its formation helped to significantly repair the master seal pervaded the underbelly of the dojo. The resulting work had caused many once sealed underground chambers to open and with the newly forged mountains the Toraono Dojo now had a natural barrier to prevent further access to Sunagakure from the west and it also provided a new area to train for future students. Over two hundred chambers existed in the Toraono dojo and the general public only had access to fifty percent of that. The remaining rooms were specially sealed chambers for specific clan members affiliated with the dojo and their blood relatives.

Demon Kuro sensed an odd presence just outside the dojo, as he approached the main foyer he found a rather large bandage wrapped man. Laid out amongst the couches and pillows. None of the servants had noticed his knocking or he would have been tended to. Still the main doors were always open for emergencies. As Kuro approached him he grabbed a large glass and a pitcher of cool tea and set it on the ground before the now horizontal giant's reach before speaking. "Greetings, I am Toraono Kuro, Sennin of Sunagakure and leader of this dojo. I apologize for your reception being less than adequate. We have been rather walled in and lethargic since my recent wedding. There is cool tea at hand and I will sit and wait here till you gain the necessary strength to speak. Please signal me with any kind of sound or movement you find yourself capable of so that I may find the best way to help you."</COLOR><i></i>

Kuro wore a sand tone kimono with matching hakama. Kuro laced a brown obi around his waist where he kept his sheathed honor blade. Kuro wore his battle pouch atop the obi just above his right hip. Kuro wore a leg holster on the interior of his hakama just atop his silk gi shorts. A convenient cut in the silk cloth of his left hakama pants leg allowed Kuro full access to his summon scrolls without showing exactly where it was till he motioned to grab it. Securing his royal arm guards and leggings were his enhanced runic terran marked leather hand and leg wraps. Kuro wrapped his tail around his obi making sure it appeared to be a furry black tiger skin tail with silver stripes added onto his obi. His silver hair was braided in ancient ceremonial fashion making his black oxen horns look much more pronounced but also making him look more human. Kuro’s eyes were pure violet orbs of power instead of their normal violet with golden slits. Kuro had slowly learned that these were his true eyes after noticing how natural they felt in relation to his normal feline eyes which he had learned were his natural demon eyes. He looked upon his visitor with fear that inattentiveness might have caused his most recent guest further harm from dehydration.

Meanwhile in the fighting arena of the dojo:

Kuro had one active partner to keep track of his growing capabilities since he took on the power of Hyakujuuonouu. His Uncle by family rites ‘Dr. Daibatsu Toa’ kept careful notes on Kuro’s progress and exactly how his alternate bodies functioned after every training session he wrote down the flaws and strengths of each aspect as of Toraono Kuro the Akuma Sennin. Hashigaki Kuro hopped into the training ring, his opponent Gau of the Byakko Clan stepped into the other side of the ring. They both began to stretch and twist readying themselves as they both looked each other over as if neither was sure what was about to happen. Hashigaki Kuro was smiling despite the information overload his senses were getting save when he closed his eyes. Gau was a little apprehensive but he had a stark look of determination, as one of the top fighters of the Byakko Gouzoku. After wrapping their hands and putting on helmets they both turned to each other and bowed, Daibatsu Toa was impressed at Hashigaki Kuro’s soundless movements, which he instantly took note of. It seemed as if he was truly focusing on Gau’s full presence. The chakra crystal harness he wore under his fighting gi allowed Toa to record his movements and chakra flow throughout the match for comparison against his original body’s wavelength’s and abilities. Hashigaki Kuro did something that Toa felt was odd, he closed his eyes and as he did so Toa noticed his chakra wavelength stabilized. Speaking into his headset “Are you going to be okay using blind fighting techniques?” Hashigaki Kuro chuckled as he replied through his own headset “It seems my senses work far better when I close my eyes in this form, as I am now I apparently locate objects through sound and movement, echo location from my chakra and natural vibrations, I don’t actually see so much as I feel my opponent and everything around me for about two miles although without walls I can almost hear everything for twenty to thirty miles when I focus.”<i></i> He leaned over to Gau and whispered “Could you use some of your best moves as we test our limits?”<i></i> Gau nodded as he whispered “Sure just keep up with me and don’t hit me in the head too hard, it’s hard to concentrate when you get hit real hard.” Kuro nodded as Toa stepped up pretending he couldn’t hear the two planning their match.

Gau was taken aback as Kuro kept his eyes clothes so he decided to activate his Byakkogan and saw that Kuro was actually pulsing chakra through his ears and bones. It was an odd thing to visualize but at least he was certain Kuro wasn’t playing him for a fool he actually planned to use blind fighting techniques. With that in mind Byakko Gau rushed in with an obvious right cross and to his surprise Kuro did the same attack with almost the same speed. Although they tried not to hit one-another too hard the impact of their fists upon each other’s helmets knocked each of the young men back. Kuro smiled, Gau grinned but noticed he felt a little dizzy despite the strength of Kuro’s ounch being taken down by at least three notches according to his memory of Kuro’s monstrous strength. It felt like his head had become a bell yet they rushed each-other again. This time Gau threw a right sidekick, Kuro reacted with a block, Gau followed up with a left hook, Kuro blocked this as well then countered with a spinning roundhouse that grazed Gau but the wave of energy from it made him feel as if he had been hit head on. The fight was on, Kuro kept learning about himself as he kept up with Gau’s techniques and Gau gradually began losing his shyness.

Gau’s chakra wasn’t rising near as fast as Kuro’s and Kuro’s control was just as perfect as his original form so it seemed that Toa might have to call the match early. It seemed was showing remarkable restraint or was he. Toa paid closer attention, as he noticed Kuro was truly going all out, it was Gau that was tempering his techniques and allowing Kuro to counter. In truth had Toa not looked closely he wouldn’t have noticed how much faster Gau actually was compared to Kuro. As Gau’s mindset eased up his abilities increased as if he had been in a slump of some kind. The kicks were the first to become too fast for Kuro to keep up with battering him about the ring much to his sister’s satisfaction. Then the punches came in much much faster demolishing Kuro with body blows. Gau was still holding back, when Kuro actually managed to catch one of his hooks, he looked up with a bruised face, “I’ve seen this combo already Gau, show me something new.” Gau nodded as if they had some unspoken agreement that no one else could ever know “Ok, I’ll show you three of my strongest techniques, keep your guard up..” Kuro interrupted “Don’t worry about me, we have watchers to keep us from hurting each other too much.” Gau nodded again as he closed his eyes and chanted to himself “Wari wa motikinai, nothing can withstand the might of my Kage Tora, with these techniques I am unstoppable!!”<i></i> Toa nodded as he realized what Gau was doing. He was using self-hypnosis to unleash his full potential, and as such Gau’s chakra increased exponentially.

Kuro smiled as Gau realized his full attack and defensive ability. <COLOR color="indigo">“I feel the change in you, that technique is very impressive, I have something like that, my first teacher told me to never use it when practicing swordsmanship, but I can’t see her getting mad at me for using it in hand to hand combat.”<i></i> Kuro took a Toraono channeling stance. Toa shook his head as if to say no as he realized this was something else Hyakujuuonouu had unwittingly taught Kuro without prior conditioning. It began as a small spark as a violet aura began to leak from Kuro’s hands. Gau’s chakra could now be seen as well as it had taken on a vibrant crimson, as slowly more chakra began to leak from Kuro’s body in wisps then like gas caught fire it exploded forth around him in flame as pieces of the ring flew off into the air as the both unleashed their all. Gau became a massive blur as he whipped in with his second technique. “Kage Tora Jutsu -Juuichi Senpuu Ken!!!” Eleven whirlwinds roared to life and stringed into shapes that resembled one hundred and ten punches as they connected one after another into Kuro flinging him into the air as Gau appeared above Kuro “Kage Tora Jutsu Fray!!”<i></i> A series of eleven explosions followed by a massive earth shattering fist slammed Kuro into the center of the ring as Gau landed exhausted. He got ready to exit the ring content he had given his all when a massive surge of chakra told him the match wasn’t over. Kuro walked from the crater that he had created in the center of the ring his instinct for combat egging him on. He was a battered mess but healing rapidly “That was great Gau, I’m really impressed, it gave me the idea for this technique; I’ll name it in honor of your family school and my Uncle’s Toraono Clan Jutsu Sunder…”<i></i> Moving nearly as fast as Gau had Kuro appeared just beneath Gau’s guard giving him a fierce uppercut that connected not with his head but his body which launched him into the air. Where Gau’s technique allowed him to appear above his opponent Kuro instead appeared beneath Gau striking him in the stomach three more times, swiveling mid-air to back hand Gau beneath him, and although his guard was still up Kuro kept pummeling him all the way down into a new but lesser crater than he had been bashed into. Both fighters stood exhausted after the impact. Kuro was gaining strength from being on edge yet focused on his opponent. It seemed this body had hidden potential, Toa could also tell by the chakra levels that their bodies would be in serious danger and signaled the med nin to take them down before it was too late. They were both too focused on their match which had somehow became a duel allowing them to be blindsided by sleeping jutsu in the form of a lullaby from one of the female medics as they passed out to be caught by blurs of skilled medics and taken to medical ward. Kyojin Kuro and Kaibudo had sat and witnessed the end of Kuro and Gau’s match via video tape although Kyojin had pretty much been there first hand.

Toa walked into the viewer room and presented the records of the match to Kyojin Kuro whom bowed and quickly stepped off to place them in the hidden lab that Toa had set up to monitor Kuro’s bodies. Kaibudo smiled evilly “My son seems to grow in skill every day, I have never seen him fight with his eyes closed so well. I am impressed, is this some new training regimen he has started upon?”<i></i> Toa smiled and presented the normal records of Kuro’s matches with the findings from this match before he spoke he let Kaibudo read over Kuro’s ever growing skill. “Your son is actually developing an altered forbidden clone technique that allows each clone to fight in a different manner than the other expressing all of Kuro’s skills over the years. In this way nothing is forgotten or sealed away, any ability he has ever learned is expressed through each of his alter ego’s so to speak.” Kaibudo returned the documents with a smile as he had reason to believe that Kuro was doing something a little different, Toa’s explanation however allowed for the Toraono Clan to save face and never be accused of forbidden experiments.

[I come back from work and it's tripled in length. Oh my. I will apologize now for my lack of reciprocation.]

Sarunishi licked his lips as he continued to lay where he was. His bright eyes opened ever so slightly upon the obviously somewhat inhuman looking individual. He let the words roll around in his head before his hand stroked his chin once or twice. Shaking his head, he just laughed and sat himself up with eyes fully opened. "I didn't realize Sand was lethargic because of a wedding. Those two at the gates were beyond unaccommodating and rude. All the same, congratulations to your marriage if it is indeed to be a good thing. You need not apologize for the way I was treated at your gates, however, good sir. I've been subjected to far, far worse in my time."</COLOR><i></i> Sarunishi's smile persisted as he unwrapped his head once more to reveal the seemingly inhuman flesh beneath. Red cracks ran through his body like veins, pulsing and seeming to glow ever so slightly as he sat. He quietly poured himself some tea and took a few sips, sighing happily at the taste of it all. It had been ages since he had anything remotely worth having. In back in Leaf he was a chained beast and had access to the general amenities allocated to everyone, despite such things being done begrudgingly.

"I was dreadfully unaware how things have changed this far out in the world. I came to offer Sand money in exchange for work and I was threatened to have my head removed because I responded to provocation. Unfortunate."<i></i> Sarunishi continued at this point to removed more wrappings from himself. Next came his upper torso which was unclothed and had the same kind of veins running through the surface down to his very fingers which were sharp in appearance. With one final tug the entire ordeal came undone and Sarunishi was free of his linens and his exposed legs and bare feet followed the same pattern even to being somewhat clawed for toes. Sitting happily in his blue hakama, he took another sip of tea. Delicious. Absolutely delicious. He extended the tea to his host with his sickening smile ever spreading across his face. It was obvious that the two of them shared something in common at this point. Demons. Demons were everywhere and they most definitely would have something to discuss.

Fully exposed, it was obvious that Sarunishi's physical form was in peak condition. His body looked as if chiseled from rock, as any Kyoujouran should, let alone an original line. Once his form had been purely obsidian in appearance as he grew older until he fully matured into an unnatural alabaster. Now, his body had become volcanic in appearance due to internal ordeals. To this other individual, such visual cues would be apparent. He was quite obviously not horrifically burned, but it could easily be considered such. <COLOR color="orange">"I suppose you could help my by passing along my offer to your village. Perhaps even reprimand your abysmal gate guards, but if not. Well. The tea was more than adequate. It's been a long time since I've seen such marvels."

Kuro nodded and smiled at first concerned about the man's condition until he revealed it was actually a natural condition. Kuro had read about the lost bloodline of the stone giants but to see it was actually quite a marvel. "As far as your business with Suna, I would be honored to represent your investment and take on any of your requests. Our gates have been breached by monsters in the passed few months and as such spirits are high strung. On the other hand long has it been since one of your lineage has graced the sands of Wind Country, we are honored to have you visit. I myself have never met one of the Stone Giants of the Gouzoku Soseki (Powerful family of Foundation Stone) their family line all but ceased to exist during ancient times and no one would dare try to seek out their roots as it was said Soseki Kyojin will never be found unless they want to find you. Have you come to re-claim your clan armor? We have a set of ancient fighting armor in one of our vaults left with our clan over two hundred years ago, said to be a gift for the Hyou family for teaching the use of shadows to an elder. Also, I don't mean to sound like a child, but I've always wanted to know, is it true that your bodies turn into stone at the base of mountains when you decide to become one with the Yochi Megami (Earth Goddess) Gaia?"<i></i> Kuro had so many questions but his child hood question was the one that most filled his mind. Kuro felt his presence through his advanced chakra but he made sure to suppress his natural excitement.

Kuro's appearance aside he was now more than the sum of his parts, his demonic lineage allowed him Oxen horns, a liger's tail, and senses that generally exceeded even that of most nin and what he sensed now was a being content with himself. It was so rare to meet a being that was truly content with their existence.

"I would be most grateful for you to provide such request. After all, it is but an offer and nothing more. I am sorry to hear that you've been harried by such beasts."<i></i> Sarunishi took another sip of his tea and relished its existence in his body. It was a simple pleasure, but Sarunishi was denied such simple pleasures most of his life. After finishing his first cup of tea, he poured himself another with the happiest of sighs. "I know not of your beliefs to my lineage in this country, but I can tell you I am of the original line. It is a long story, at the very least, and I'd be happy to tell you if you asked, but otherwise I won't bore you. As to this armor, I must politely refuse. As I've come before such a family line. I have no claim to such things."<i></i>

Becoming one with the earth, huh? Sarunishi laughed a bit to himself and contemplated the answer to that. It most definitely would not be out of the question. His body already was akin to being a statue. His lips spread into the most grotesque of grins as venom trickled between teeth and created miniature pathways from upper and lower teeth in various points. Sarunishi had been containing his essence at this point, but it seemed silly to do such a thing at this point. Steam vented from the fissures in his frame. With this, the heat would rapidly rise in the area around them without the intention of being hostile."I've not had such an experience, but I would consider it true. I have heard such things said, but I know not how my blood has spread since. Quite interesting tales, all the same. This, of course, doesn't alleviate how I was treated at your gates my kind host. Monsters or not, I am quite sure you don't have your gate guards threaten innocent merchants with decapitation. I could deal with the demands to see my face, even being called a freak because of it, but to be threatened when I'm retired and wish only to make money to survive?"<i></i> Sarunishi's face twisted from the semi-jovial although repulsive face to that of pure seriousness and anger. It was rare that Sarunishi would get so worked up, but the way things were handled were highly unacceptable.

Kuro nodded as he explained the melding with mountains tale might be true but claims to ancient armor would be abated as his blood was from the original bloodline and as such he would not be entitled to it. At the mention of his lineage the giant actually vented steam from his form. As the heat rose rather quickly Kuro used a bit of telekinesis off hand to shunt the heated air into the vents and hasten the air conditioning system already in place."That is a regrettable incident and on the behalf of our gate personnel I offer you my sincerest apologies. Seeing as how you are already venting would you care to use one of our underground springs, they may help soothe your apparent anger while I make requests on your behalf. I would reason you don't have a passport which is why things didn't go smoothly at the gates. Still, I am rather anxious to hear the story of your lineage if you would allow me to bear witness so we might add it to the annals of our clan library. Your presence here alone could spark quite a legend as it were. I almost forgot in all my haste to make acquaintance I never asked your name. My deepest apologies, What might your name be? and before you answer, should you have reason not to give it, or person's after you, know that your secret is safe with me by oath as Lord of the Toraono Clan."</COLOR><i></i> Kuro placed his hand on a nearby seal and a flicker of chakra surged through the pillar sending a simple message to the Kazekage Steward and available council members to come to the dojo at their earliest convenience. <COLOR color="indigo">"I am sending a message to our village leaders to make themselves available as soon as possible so that we can have a meeting and make formal business arrangements. While we wait perhaps a tour, a meal, and a bath, in which ever order you deem fitting?"

Kuro stood rather easily his walk and manner completely nonchalant and a bit cheerful. It was obvious he was pleased to have such an esteemed visitor and he was not put off at all by Sarunishi's appearance.

Sarunishi shifted himself from his sitting position to seiza as he prostrated himself with a bow as deeply as possible. When respect was reciprocated, he gave it in spades. When he was met with hostility, he'd escalate things beyond their normal comprehensions. In this situation, however, things were of the former camp. Respect was all about and he'd slip into a more modest and humble role because of it. The steam was momentary as he just laughed and brushed aside the anger. His mind slipped a bit to the wayside and he lifted himself up from the ground regardless of permission. "That is more than I could ask for. The steam...the venom. Those are all just natural bi-products of this shape. As to having a passport."<i></i> Full bellied laughed erupted from Sarunishi as he stood to his full height. "When you're a prisoner in Leaf for who knows how long after being sold as an indentured servant for peace, well, you tend to not be given much. A passport is most definitely the last thing on the list. Anyway, the order prescribed is absolutely fine. It'll give us time to speak of my story, get to know the happenings here, fill my belly, then relax at the end. Perhaps said dignitaries will arrive as we proceed."<i></i>

He licked his lips as he really took in the scene around him. It was a truly gorgeous building that had been put together here. His bright eyes darted about to make sure that every single detail would be noted down. He didn't want to get caught off guard. That'd be the worst. Being too relaxed was death. "Tsuchi Sarunishi. The Black Mountain, I was once called. That was when I was home, however, before my slavery began. You see, I was traded as I mentioned to Leaf for peace with my four other brothers. We were the guard to the royal family and had no will of our own if we wished to live. After the bloody red rains came, I lost my mind and was shackled away. Frozen. Confined beneath the earth, suspended by chains so that I couldn't touch anything but the shackles binding me. It was quite the horrific ordeal all around. I am quite sure my mind is lacking something. Mindfully, I got free and set up shop elsewhere, becoming a merchant and retired. While I am still capable per say, my days of fighting are far over."<i></i>

He'd start with that. It was a good basis to tell the rest of his story. He really wondered what happened to his mind in that seclusion. It was often said that solitary confinement broke a man. How was Sarunishi holding together so well? Even the voice of his demon were just whispers inside of himself. It was really just as if he was talking inside his own mind and that the demon was really him. Whatever was inside was far from as horrible as the thing on the outside.

Kuro nodded but could not stop the man from bowing before he did so and hurriedly reached out to help him to his feet, not that he needed it but he was a guest and it did not bode well to make it seem like the Toraono Clan enforced the ancient rites of kneeling. It simply wasn't done unless a duel was afoot. " Sarunishi san of the Tsuchi Clan we bid you welcome, your past ordeals are indeed unfortunate, we had visitors from Leaf during my wedding and they did not seem so righteous of themselves to imprison a being because of his fighting potential, if anything they seemed to be searching for it. I would hear your story and invite you to stay in my home as long as you feel welcome and I ask in return only three things, don't upset my wife, don't let my mother bait you into a match and for all that is holy, never ever let any of the children challenge you. In our dojo challenges are sacred and the meat on our tables so to speak. Once they know you are here and your lineage they will be begging for demonstrations and matches. Demonstrations are up to you but our children are rather robust and think themselves invincible, I would rather not have them harm themselves should your whimsy allow you to take up a young challenger whom would inevitably give his all out of respect. You are however welcome to use the arena and take on any adult challengers under any rules you or your challenger deem fit. We also have organized hunts and sports you are welcome to partake in. As far as setting up a shop, once I can get other village elders here to meet you we can convene a dining in and discuss terms. If you are worried for your mental health we have able psychic surgeons that could assist you if you are willing. We also have a great many amenities here and if you so wished it we could even use a ritual to alter your appearance so that others not used to such sights that we here marvel and consider miracles of nature to that of humble yet powerfully figured man. Trust me when I say that although you will be given many looks in our household it will be looks of awe and appreciation, never fear or concern. Our families are far from ordinary so we make sure our youth understand there is nothing wrong with being different."<i></i> Kuro would beckon for Sarunishi to follow him as he showed him the hall that led to the library, the main arena, and the guest chambers of the Eastern wing. If Sarunishi chooses to follow Kuro will escort him to the library first to show him the Clan History of the stone giants from the days of the First Men.

"Given my understanding of the times, I believe I will take on no challengers then. I believe you all to be children"<i></i> came the vicious smile parting Sarunishi's lips. It seemed like he had countless smiles and each one was truly different than the last or the next. His hands flexed as he decided to follow Kuro towards the library. He was quite excited to see what this tour would have in store. All things had been forever to him now. He was happy to having time to be shown around and educated to the various things intricately woven into the land.

"I accept your request, of course. I will pass on such rituals and otherwise. While my appearance is not natural to most, it is natural to me, and would once have been considered a sign of respect be considered the physical analog of a volcano. There is no greater expression of the earth than this raw manifestation. Thank you all the same."<i></i> He took a bit of a breath in and looked about him. He'd begin his story as they walked and as need be would stop and continue based on the running dialogue. It was definitely something he would relish in just as he had with the tea. Simple things really. "When I was a young boy, I was raised, without my knowledge of course, to later be sold to Leaf, as I mentioned. My four other brothers and I each had a demon. Well, something. They may have been demons or essences or...who really knows? But we were fused together and my once gorgeous alabaster became black like obsidian and cracked as the heat boiled through me. With that, I was bound to the royal family..."<i></i> Sarunishi would trail off explaining his trip from Stone to leaf and minor events involving the royal family and his servitude. He'd even mention the Red Rains and how they forced him down into the earth to sleep before once again rising from their magma vent to cause havoc all before being shackled away for...well. Sarunishi had no real idea, but he'd share it all with the other. He had no one to share it with at all. Sad, really. He felt at home here.

[If you'd like those copies, I'd be happy to send them, but I do believe you can see my profile all the same =P]

Kuro walked to rather sturdy bench and pulled forth and unfinished manuscript and with deft writing almost as fast as Sarunishi spoke Kuro added the lost giant of stone's story to the book with the excerpt of Tsuchi Sarunishi the Unchained<i></i>. As Sarunishi related what he could remember of his life Kuro felt increasingly saddened for both his family, his losses, and the spirit bonded within him. He actually felt as if the world had somehow turned against this being but seeing how well he managed to maintain he must have been made of sterner stuff than the monstrosity he had to face when Sunagakure was attacked. After replacing the manuscript amongst the walls, He gestured to the writings that he had written and asked for Sarunishi to place his hand upon the seal. "This book is called a Soul-Bound, by your will it will scribe any of your thoughts so long as you touch and will it to do so. You can chronicle anything you wish within it and also seal it against those you would have not read it. I have placed the story of your beginning in our annals of visitors and guests but should you so wish it I would find a place among our very family for you, as you speak it I can't have the last of the Kokuyougan Kyojin (Obsidian giants) wandering about without a home were it in my power to change that."<i></i> Kuro would present Sarunishi with the gift a chakra influence Chronicle, if he did not accept it he would leave it out for him should he change his mind. Afterwards Kuro would lead Sarunishi to section of the library dedicated to the Kyojinkoku. Here Kuro would explain the First Men and the One King and how among them there were several giants made of different types of stone. All but two were felled in battle during the wars, one female seemingly made of diamond whom had three daughters and two sons. Her name had been Naiya the other had been an Elder male with six sons and one daughter, his name had been Eperyubi. Their kin had left no children to the world, Eperyubi and his ilk left during the infighting with the Unbent but Naiya's family had remained. Kuro's thoughts strayed to how none of her living descendants carried enough of her blood to regain the power Sarunishi so obviously possessed but should Kuro be able to play match maker, perhaps Suna could reclaim some of their history and help further free the restraints of another soul. Kuro would wait to see if Sarunishi had any questions.

"Thank you kindly for all of this. I will happily contribute more to this book in time. It is the kindest gesture I have been given in a long time. Given these offers, of course, I do believe I am better off as just a wanderer for now. I look to establish business with those I can trust and carve a path in this world for myself. Such an opportunity was stolen from me at such a young age that I feel it fit to give myself the chance to make my own way. Now, if I were given leave to visit at my leisure, that's another story. Before all of that, however, I must repay your kindness somehow."<i></i> He finished his thoughts as best he could and placed his hand upon the seal as was expected of him. Afterwards, he took the tome onto his person and stashed it away as he often did with all things. He would fill it with all of his knowledges later. For now he'd follow Kuro through the establishment into the next part of the library that was seemingly dedicated to people such as himself. He marveled at it all and took in the fables. He'd never heard such great tales in the entire span of his life. The whole tale to the point Kuro stopped at seemed absolutely wonderful from start to finish. It was somewhat saddening.

He'd have no questions at this point. It all sort of made sense. Some stayed, some left. What more was there to know about it? His tongue flicked against his teeth before he sucked them for a moment and then scratched his chin. Then something came to him. "So, they were Sunan ancients, in a way, and yet you've none left...do you? That's part of the issue at hand or is there more to it than just that?"<i></i>

Kuro sagged visibly before placing the historical documents on the table then he set about pulling out the genealogy records of the last family of Kyojinkoku the descendants of Naiya, she had three daughters and two sons. As Kuro unfurled the old leather scroll it showed how the eldest daughter married a merchant of Soon and had two sons, although strong neither of these sons carried the true strength nor attained heights over five feet ten. The second eldest daughter had three daughters with a warrior of the Byakko Gyouzaku, two of which retained the power of their grandmother. The final daughter was more like her father and was especially powerful in will and strength. The youngest daughter was felled in battle with the Unbent along with her two brothers. As the scroll unfurled it showed the waning of the blood and after three generations only one descendant of Naiya remained and she had yet to ever discover whether she had the potential to bring forth her ancient Legacy or simply fade into obscurity. "There is as ever a bit more to it, only one descendant of Naiya remains alive to this day, she is twenty years old and shows great potential but sadly no one remains that can teach her the ways of her blood and though we know the legends, none of us are bold enough to discern whether they are true enough to test her chance to bring forth the transformation into an elemental stone warrior of old. Sufficed to say you may come and go as you please but my ideas have it that with you here there is a chance to revive the line Kyojinkoku in Wind Country. I am uncertain how to ask you to help her but that is my true intent besides treating you with the respect any guest is due. My hope is to compel you to stay in Wind Country if not as a citizen should I be able to convince my village council then as an ally who may come and go at his leisure."<i></i>

There was no deception, no intrigue, no games, just an honest hope that this chance meeting might yield greater results than Kuro had ever dared imagine. He left the scroll of lineage open for Sarunishi to look upon. It was simple and creative at the same time. Stars marked surviving kindred with potential or if nothing else great strength and tenacity. Only this final woman whom had been humbly named Nah-iya in homage to her honorable and cherished Great great great great Grandmother Naiya remained and she was the only one to even display the traits in the least in centuries.

Sarunishi just smiled as he looked at the documents. So immaculate. Who'd have ever thought that Sand would be the ones to keep records of everything. Well, to be fair, when you're isolated it is easier to account for everything. He followed the lineages and took in the information with relative easy. None of it was especially complicated. Just follow the lines and see where those rabbit holes go. There was no danger of getting lost in it. Not yet. "I would be more than happy, as a sign of good faith, to put her through the rigors that I was once put through to truly awaken my latent abilities. They may not be like your legends, but they could work. They obviously did on me"<i></i>

Sarunishi snorted a bit as he stifled a laugh and steam rose from about his shoulders. It was a simple thing to train or even beat someone into releasing their bloodline abilities. Hell, it was just an old memory waiting to become fresh again. He glanced about the room and continued to take it all in. So many things. So grand. It'd be a shame if it all went away. He hoped this place was safe. It seemed to be relatively safe if it was built for Shinobi to dwell and train within. "I will be more than happy to try and become said ally. A consultant or otherwise, as it were. I do not wish to stay in this country, however, and I mean that with no disrespect. There is just money to be made out in the world and I'd like to be industrious."<i></i>

Kuro was overjoyed with the simple pyrrhic victory of words. He may not make his home here but at least he would be a friend and able to return. Kuro's mood picked up almost instantaneously at Sarunishi's proposal to at least test her and should it work SUnagakure would have a small piece of it's history back. Kuro smiled and reached out to shake Sarunishi's hand despite their natural ability to cut it seemed Kuro had enough resiliency to trust a hand shake with blade like hands not that Kuro's hands were normal either but they were definitely of flesh. Despite the inherent risk Kuro obviously considered the action a genuine acceptance of Sarunishi's proposal. "I am overjoyed that you would consider testing her and even happier that you would take up the mantle of ally to our unusual village. I will arrange a meeting between yourself Nah-iya after you've had a feast and at least one night's rest. It is a small worry that you choose not to stay, however it is easily agreed upon that the best merchants are worldly and I would not stifle you, or your efforts to build contacts with our requests; nor burden would I endeavour to burden you with our fears. Did you have any questions or is their anything else within our library or records you might be inclined to look over?" As Kuro replaced the records amongst the scroll preservers Sarunishi released steam and Kuro almost took it as a sign of latent anger till he saw the stifled mirth in his eyes. Kuro smiled without showing teeth as he went about securing the records again, content that he was making headway.

Sarunishi extended his hand and delicately took the other's hand into his own to shake. His grip was firm, but far from crushing. The bladed digits would not cut the other. It seemed as if there needed to be a malicious intent attached to causing harm to another with his bare hands. The steam Sarunishi released was not of anger in most situations. It was simply a natural process like everything else he did. His entire existence was hinged on the fact that he was alive, breathing, and able to eat. Other than that, he really didn't end up doing too much unless spurred to do so, or if he felt the need to maintain himself. "It's all business, my good sir. You've been far too kind. As such, I will return such favors ten fold. I simply won't stay given what I've seen and what I wish to do. Perhaps in the future if certain individuals are elsewhere and politics are of lesser concerns, I may reside here. Until such time, I can be found here."<i></i>

He gave a rough indication into where his domicile would be. It was out in the world, somewhere near some massive mountains. It'd be obvious when one went looking, but for now, it was just a general 'Hey. Over here' kind of deal. It would be more comfortable for him. He hated how the sand felt on his feet. Everything was fuzzy. He really couldn't track anything unless it was massive. Sandworms. Those were a problem. He'd felt those long before and even now. "Whatever you wish to share and for me to know I will happily take in. I am unlearned of the current world. I've been under a rock, as it were."<i></i> He just laughed heavily as more steam vented from lower on his back before quickly dissipating.

Kuro laughed as well and began a long in depth description of the villages and their current standing as Sunagakure understood them. As mostly miners, traders, and medicinal element manufacturers, the people of Wind Country had a vast history of survival and trading. Water used to be the main method of making deals. Kuro explained the only village he had no knowledge of was Cloud Village, they were simply too distant for Sunan trader's. As they made their way into the main dining hall a feast had been set in the wake of Sarunishi's visit with Nah-iya as the main server for Sarunishi as she hoped he could help her determine whether she could follow in her ancestor's foot-steps along with his.

Nah-iya presented herself... long silky black hair laced with perfume and scented oils settled across well muscled yet feminine shoulders. Her Sunan cotton and silk kimono allowed both defensive measures and a bit of air to breathe through her garments. Interlaced within the weave at specific areas was a special mesh of metallic and crystal laced fibers specially designed to prevent the piercing of her vital points by blade or chakra enhanced pressure. She stood six feet two inches, weighed a remarkable, superior muscular, 260 pounds. Her eyes were cloud grey like storms on a mountain top. She had slight stone like cracks on her knuckles and the backs of her hands and which showed she had potential to one day be akin to Sarunishi but she was otherwise unmarred and her skin was like bronzed porcelain, golden and serene. She wore no shoes unlike many other ladies in the dojo and seemed to feel movement through her feet. "It is an honor to meet you Lord Tsuchi. It’s now time for lunch, (she strode over to a panel and pushed it back revealing a twelve foot table piled with food) we have steamed beef, fresh salmon, steamed rice, wok seared broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, potatoes, and fresh wheat unleaden bread, diced tomatoes, lettuce, shredded cheese, and sliced pickles, and boiled eggs.”

Sarunishi took in the information happily. He was grateful to learn more of the world at this point. He smiled wide as he situated himself near the edge of the table, but he dare not sit down. His weight had vastly increased over the years he'd transformed his skin into what it was now. While he wasn't massive, per say, he still weighed around 400~ pounds of pure muscle and protective layers. He licked his lips and hovered around all of the food. They most definitely ate well. It wasn't Sarunishi's first choice in food, but he would eat all the same. He nodded his head and placed his hands gently behind his back, folded one into the other, as he observed Nah-iya. "It is a pleasure, my dear. Please just call me Sarunishi. I am about the furthest thing from a lord unless such genetics matter. If such I'd only be a lord of bones and dust. I assume you'll both be joining me for this meal? If so, shall we all eat?"<i></i>

If he was given leave to eat, his hands would slip from behind his back and begin stabbing into the food around him. He was never one for utensils, even with the arrangement before him. He didn't care for any of those conveniences. He'd just tear into it all regardless of its composition. Despite all of this, the contrast between himself and Nah-iya were far from unnoticed. His body had become fractured and broken over the many years. He used to have such gorgeous porcelain skin. Alabaster, truly. Smooth and polished, but internal changes had done away with that all. He smiled all the same. That smile never really left his face. When it did, there was obviously something wrong. For now, it would remain.

Nah-iya bowed hurriedly in Sarunishi's presence for she was in her own spirit standing before a legend returned to life. A living breathing stone giant stood before her just like her ancestors had been. She felt as if she could just attain one third of the strength that Lord Sarunishi displayed, she felt she would be complete. "My lord, I mean yes Sarunishi, I can't believe that a true lord of stone still exists and I must not call him lord, this is such an honor, please Master Sarunishi if you have a meal you would like to request please let me know and I will prepare it for you." The young lady displayed her tremendous strength by bringing forth a gem laced stone bench for Sarunishi. She then clapped her hands unleashing a loud thunderous shockwave summoning her cousins from the Byakko clan. She was ready to perform any task needed to make Sarunishi feel welcome. Several other young ladies with beautiful eyes and brown skin that only matched Nah-iya's hair and height but could never match her build appeared ready to cook for and pamper Sarunishi. They all marveled at Sarunishi's stone flesh and rough chambered heat, he was a legend reborn.

Kuro chuckled at the reaction Sarunishi got from the many admirer's of the tales of the stone giants as he nodded to Sarunishi to eat to his heart's content.

"You see, what I crave, you will never wish to prepare and I suggest it be left at that. It is a hunger older than you will ever comprehend."<i></i> The words coming out of Sarunishi's mouth would taste bitter if taken in too deeply. It was simply the truth. What Sarunishi craved more than anything was the ultimate taboo. He savored the flesh of others. Their soft, weak insides were glorious. Cracking bones, sucking marrow, and many more unmentionable things when devouring other people. He'd leave it at that. It would likely be obvious what he meant as he grinned and sighed, exposing his knife like teeth. He continued to stand and continued to stuff his face. He appreciated the gesture put forth by Nah-iya, but he simply continued with his cadence. He'd allow for them to admire his form. It was nice to be appreciated for once, opposed to being confined.

The Byakko clan were definitely a gorgeous group of individuals. Unfortunately for them, Sarunishi's enjoyment with other people had dwindled over the years. Such an ordeal would have to be rekindled over time. He truly felt welcome, however, as this was the first time since he was a child he wanted to remain in one spot. His mind wandered as he feasted on the food before him as he fantasized about what he could truly be eating. His insides were a furnace. He never felt full. He could just consume and consume and consume like an Akimichi. Akimchi? What were they? Sarunishi's mind slipped back to reality and he would finish eating after a while.

Kuro understood something of what Sarunishi spoke of, in the handed down tales of the One King's guards it was said that the stone giant men ate the flesh of their fallen enemies whom proved themselves worthy in battle. These legends were not passed down to Nah-iya's family because only the women seemed to retain any ties to the Ancient Blood of the giants, not one male descendant showed any hint of the blood, not even the strength. Kuro's eyes glowed for a brief moment as the young ladies scurried about gathering food and drink for the insatiable hunger of Sarunishi. "I had hoped those darker tales were not true, but I do believe I have a remedy to your eternal hunger."<i></i> Kuro had mentioned a true tour of the dojo and now it seemed he had a place to take Sarunishi he had not originally mentioned. "Nah-iya, Sarunishi will begin your training tasks on a later day, you can set up his room while I continue his tour of the dojo."<i></i>
