So she got ready. She put up her hair and put on her forehead protectors. After getting dressed she dashed out the door and towards the gates of the village. It didn't take her long to reach the gates, there she had to check out of the village, she wasn't leaving the country so it was a simple signature.
"Just signing out for the day." Akumi told the shinobi working the desk. She had seen him a few times now, the first time she came to the village, and the last time she went out on a mission.
"Okay, just don't make too much of a racket this time." He stated, referring to the building she collapsed a bit ago. It was outside the village, but it was quite loud.
"Well no promises." Akumi replied with a laugh, then she ran off. Out in the wild, she could blow up another building if she felt like it. Well maybe not, but she could.
It didn't take her long, but soon she was out in the jungle. Well, it was a thick forest, the same thing. She knew if she wanted to find what she was looking for, she would have to look in the forest.
Akumi remembered walking through this place when she first arrived in Konoha, it felt like it was so long ago. She was starting to enjoy the green scenery over rocky mountains. The fire country was so green, and nice. She remembered she once thought this was a land of volcanos and fire. It's quite the opposite, with streams, and lush green forests.
Soon, Akumi came across the stream that came from the waterfall of two giant statues. She could see them from where she stood, a work of art, too bad they were falling apart. So much so the faces that were once carved were no longer recognizable. No one would know who they were no days, so sad to see.
Akumi's attention went to the stream, it was so fresh, and crisp. It made her want to jump in, so she did, fully clothed. She was wearing her shinobi uniform, if it couldn't take a bit of water then it would be worthless. She stood in the stream and looked at the fish that swam by, the water reached her knees, though she was a very short girl so the water seemed much deeper to her.
All Akumi needed was someone to share this beauty with, that was her wish. Too bad her brother was too busy with missions to enjoy days like this with her. In a way, she was on her own personal mission. If she couldn't find the monkeys, she would come back another day.
