Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

This is in no way a true missing attempt. It was meant to give ANBU something to do in a time where missions aren't available.

A loose Oni mask hung from his face as his breath remained calm. It was a new moon, so the gates illumination wasn't as it usually was. Therefore, the young man would take his shot in achieving what he had been ordered to do. With the blade in his palm ready to strike out, he leaped off the top of a tower into a patch of straw below. Exiting safely, the young man made his way towards the open gates; specifically, he was targeting a group that had already had their passports checked and were on their way out. Assimilating among them silently, he bega to assist in the preparations as if all were ok. Some of the members looked at him strangely, but assumed he was related to one of the others and just let him help out. Minutes later, they would begin to walk. There mission? Travel to their new destination. His mission? To steal an artifact. But why, why would he need to go missing? He was ordered to... Just a few more feet... and he would make a run for it..

[I want to be clear that this is not Kido :3]

I got this Rin. It's not a missing attempt, just something to give flavor.

Seeing people try to sneak out of the village was always a funny thing to Kosei. There was no good that could ever come from them, and, from what he'd seen over the last five years, usually ended in one kind of death or another, whether it be for the traitor or for the ones stopping him. It was an unfortunate part of being in the ANBU corps, but someone needed to do the job. Kosei just happened to fit that bill.

One of the other two ANBU on duty with Kosei had just let out a group of people who actually DID have a passport, when another man decided that he could sneak passed that gates, into the vally/canyon that bottlenecked the entrance to the village. The teen, suited up in ANBU tactical gear and his brand new customized ANBU mask, leaped down from the gates after a confirmation from his commanding officer, who came down after Kosei did. This was going to be part of his training: stopping a potential nuke from escaping. Behind kosei fell two other figures in full a full ANBU cloaks, and they followed at a steady speed behind him until he reached the group.

The man had by now blended into the group, but that didn't batter. Kosei flung his arm forward, and the "ANBU" at his right side flew forward, attempted to latch onto the man, and roll him onto the floor.

If successful

Well, well, well. what's going on here?" he said, the small crowd of people beginning to fear what was going on. "Just keep going. This guy was trying to get out."

If unsuccessful

God dammit. Kosei thought to himself, knowing that the man now knew that he was after him, if he hadn't already seen the teen. Knowing that his commanding officer would be on his way was reassuring, but it also meant that he'd just been lowered in the superior's eyes. It would mean his promotion getting pushed back even farther. That probably shouldn't have been on his mind at the time, but it was, like it or not. That said, he had to focus on what would happen next.

The as of unnamed man found himself looking over his shoulder in fear of what was coming. "Two of them..." he cursed and attempted to assimilate himself in the group better. When had they caught wind of his betrayal? It was just a matter of time before they were upon the group. Through the mask, the man constantly was looking for them, while the others simply ate and conversed as their caravan moved forward. It was then the 'ANBU' latched onto him with strength unlike a man's and the voice of the ANBU controlling it came in to calm the individuals around the event. The man behind the mask stayed silent as the others seemed to realize where he came from. Fear struck some and began to panic, hurrying others along so that they could be rid of such a person. But it was to late. The man had deduced what was holding onto him and forced it off. Using chakra to enhance his speed and strength, the rogue dashed behind one of the children, picking him up by the neck with one hand and holding a Kunai across it with the other. "Leave me be and everyone lives." Sickly words came from behind the mask...

Kopsei hadn't expected someone to blow off a puppet with chakra; it had never been done before, not that he'd seen anyway. Puppets were heavy, at least the weight of a grown man, depending on the model, and they hit much harder than a man would. But it had happened nonetheless, and now he had to deal with the situation. The man quickly snatched up one of the girls, who couldn't have been any older than nine or ten, and pressed a kunai to her neck, threatening to end her life if he didn't comply.

But he couldn't let that happen.

Almost immeadiately, Kosei came to a dead stop about 15 meters away from the man. The second puppet at his side fell limp with the deactivation of the teen's chakra strings, and the puppeteer himself threw his hands up in a defensive manner, backing away slowy. "Hey, come on, you don't wann hurt her. It's me you're dealing with" he said somewhat sheepishly. The knife was still pressed to the girl's neck, however, so he didn't try anything.... or so it seemed. Secretly, he'd attached eight chakra stings to the left side of the girl's body and one onto the kunai when he'd put his hands up. Canada Sneaky, eh? He thought so. He hoped that he could get the guy from where he least expected it: the girl herself. Now was the time to act, if ever.

Kosei's right pinkie ripped the kunai out of the man's hand and flung it towards the floor, while the girl's legs, moving seemingly out of thei own volition, came up, then dropped swiftly down in an attempt to kick the man where it counted, RIGHT in the necessities. If that worked, she would probably be able to get out of his reach and make a run for it, along with the majority of the crowd who'd already high-tailed it outta there. Of course, it was always possible that he would be fine. He might have been an uchiha (though he doubted it), who activated his sharingan while the strings were active (though it would be really lucky if he did), or a crazy chakra attuned kind of guy like Kosei (though that was even more unlikely than his being an Uchiha). But hey, what isn't impossible on NC?

The man glared from behind the mask as he approached, seemingly disarming himself as the puppet at his side went limp. No, he did not notice the strings attaching themselves to the various areas of his choosing. Before Kosei would take his action, the man had one more thing to say. "I'd rather not deal with you at all. This is above your pay grade ANBU-san." he grunted. But the mask obscured his vision. At the time, he only knew the girl was there due to his touch senses. So when she shifted a little, he had no idea she was going to kick straight for his daddy bags. Needless to say the small girl rolled a natural twenty and the man went down, Kunai safely removed from his hand. Tears streamed down his face as such a hit immobilized him with force. How could one so weak expect to have made it far? Perhaps his goal wasn't to live at all...but act as a distraction. Time would tell... But what would the skilled ANBU operator do now?

Kosei's impromptu plan had happened to be a success! It definitely looked good, at least he hoped it did. While his job wasn't to show off or prove how good he was, he needed to be able to do what he just did: handle sticky situations with the utmost skill, leaving nothing harmed save for the man intended.

The limp puppets suddly sparked back to life with the ignition of Kosei's chakra strings, rattling like any good puppet. The arms on the puppet to the teen's left flew apart and latched onto the wounded man, wrapping around him in his moment of weakness. The arms then flew straight at the other puppet, dragging the man across the floor with it. THe second puppet's chest swung open, swallowing the man whole, arms and all, and close shut, snaps clicking into place to ensure that he couldn't escape. There was no danger of his breaking out, since the inside of the puppet was nearly indestructible, and the was no space to get any leverage. That, mixed with arms binding the man, meant that jutsu would be useless. He was in checkmate. Looking up at his commanding officer as he approached the gates once more, Kosei nodded, then began to take the man to the Cavern of Ten THousand Deaths for detention until he had time for a trial.
