Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Opening this up with declaring basic character creation stuff that I don't need to RP. XD

Natural Elemental Affinities:
  • Major - Earth
  • Minor - Non-Elemental

Weapons:
The Dragon's Luster
The Dragon's Luster is the name given to an axe supposedly created by an earth dragon god. Double-edged, with one side about twice the length of the other that glimmers with purple and silver, especially as its owner's chakra is charged through it. This is Haya's default axe, her favorite and the one she's the most comfortable with.

Nóatún
The Nóatún axe was found by the head of the Kamira family about two generations ago, supposedly won in a sparring match with a branch family of the long-forgotten clan they originated from. Beautifully crafted with silver and gold filigree around an ornate-shaped single-edge blade that is surprisingly effective with how ornamental it looks.

  • Accuracy Mod: -2
  • Augments:
    • Great Weapon (No Slot)
    • Wide Edge
    • Free Flow
    • Siege
Bölverk
Bulverk is a humongous axe that Haya doesn't really like to use, but when she needs to she can pull it out. Jet black with thick bronze ornamental adornments on the sides of its very heavy, pointed blade. Haya does not yet know if it's truly evil, but the way it stokes her bloodthirst when she wields it probably is a pretty strong hint. It was bestowed upon her by her Father, with reticence and caution, but necessity.
  • Type: Slashing
  • Damage Mod: +10%
  • Accuracy Mod: -2
  • Augments:
    • Great Weapon (No Slot)
    • Vampiric
    • Vengeance
    • Primal
Urvan
Urvan was originally forced for Kamira Azu, expecting that she too would favor the battleaxe like her older sister. Due to complications however, she does not, and the axe was passed to Hayakuro. Nearly a poleaxe, it has symmetrical double-blades, and although it's thin it is the physically strongest of her weapons, but it tends to be used for more defensive purposes.

[spoilername="Abilities RP"]"Excellent! You get better every day, Sister." A man's voice called over the plain, panting as he lowered his sword and rubbed his shoulder.

"Nnh. It would be nice to be able to get to the next day." Hayakuro replied, wiping blood from a gash in her cheek. As was usual, her elder brother didn't quite know how to hold himself back when they were sparring. Yes, she too could have pulled out her strongest weapon and executed her strongest techniques, but going all out on nothing more than a training session was just so inelegant!

"Oh come now, that was hardly either of our best!" Maku must have been able to sense the contempt in her voice, trying to bring levity to her mood. She glared at the Falchion he held, her flat expression moving to the much simpler axe she wielded. Maku just shrugged, high-spirited as he sheathed his katana.

As the hilt of his sword clinked into the metal sheath, Hayakuro grinned, baring a fang as her eyes twinkled. She sprang forward, flipping through Ninjutsu seals with one hand and holding her axe parallel to the ground with the other. The earth around her shifted, melting, molding and spiking with each of her light, quick steps. She charged toward her Brother, the earthen chakra of her spell swelling the ground as it became a flowing river of mud and grass. Maku gave a shout, trying to unsheathe his blade in a flash. As fast as his iaijutusu was, Hayakuro was ready; the earthen river below her rushing up and crashing into Maku's hand and rendering his technique off-balance just long enough for Haya to duck and approach his unguarded right side.

With a thunderous crash the blade of her thick axe collided with her Brother's stout armor, right at the heaviest part of the side. She knew her wimpy axe would be no match for his plating; she was counting on it even. Haya's battleaxe shattered into pieces, the force of her blow fully transferred into Maku's body and sending him careening backwards. He tumbled through the air like a ragdoll, crashing unceremoniously to the grass on his face a few feet away. The bubbling Ninjutsu river subsided and the earth solidified underneath the woman, who was standing in a strong pose holding just the handle of her broken weapon. She had a confident, knowing smile; she read her Brother like a book, and this was the final chapter.

"Hrnf... N-nh..." Maku grunted, lifting his face out of the grass to glare up at Hayakuro. "That was dirty, Sister."

"Says the Kamira who drew his legendary weapon in a sparring match," Haya retorted, relaxing her stance and standing straight. "And who was it that established the spar-ending clause?" She tossed the wooden handle to the ground, it was more than useless now.

"Tch," Maku couldn't really argue, finally climbing to a knee. "Yes, yes," He bowed his head, trying to find his winded breath.

"I formally end this duel. The winner is a draw." Hayakuro donned a noble voice as she spoke, waving her hand as her earthen chakra fluttered out of it. A shimmering dome around the massive plain became visible, sparkling as the illusion dropped, revealing the two standing on a much smaller, grass covered hill.

"Draw? But..."

"Shush, Brother," Hayakuro shook her head dismissively, her elegant lavender hair swishing beautifully. "Had you the foresight to end properly, you would have been the winner. I'll merely take the stealthy reprise as a balance." She minced her words, but the message got across. She walked towards her sibling and offered a hand, which Maku graciously took to hoist himself up, clutching his armored side.

As the siblings brushed themselves off, both of them looked to the west where the base of the grassy knoll they sparred upon was, seeing and hearing a horse with two riders. "The Twins? What could they...?" Hayakuro began, stopping herself as she and Maku looked at each other. It was unlike their younger siblings to come on horseback--on the same horse--to the sparring hill, especially with such haste.

"... ... ... ...--uuuuuuuuuuuuuUURRRROOOOOOOOO!" The shout went from barely audible, to louder, to overwhelming as the horse and its twin riders came to a stop next to Maku and Haya. Of course she knew it was the end of her name; Erisu loved to greet her like that.

"HAYA-HAYA!"

"Ha-ku you gotta head back!"

"W-what...?" The Twins were normally excitable, but this was beyond anything Haya had seen in years. The two were practically vibrating on the horseback as they looked between their elder siblings and speaking in tandem.

"There was a man, he--" "There were TWO men! Only one of 'em talked--" "And he asked where you were!" "Dad looked scared, and Mom--" "Looked really serious!"

Hayakuro's worry was growing, tossing a concerned glance at her brother, getting a stone-face in return.

"When she said you were busy, the quiet man--" "He pulled out a big wooden chest!" "Neither one said anything, but Mom took the box--" "And then the two guys just left!" "As soon as they were out the door--" "Mom told us to come get you, right away!"

"And here we are!" They finished in unison, posing dramatically. Hayakuro had many questions, but she knew asking them of the messenger was frivolous.

"I... Had better go then." She turned to Maku, who nodded in agreement. The Twins slid off their horse, Rino hopping to Maku's side; Erisu offering Haya the reigns of the horse.

"Take Averu, we'll walk!"

"Thank you, Eesie." Haya took the ropes and ruffled her little sister's blonde hair. With a graceful kick she hopped up onto her family's steed, patting its mane (which was adorned with black ribbons, thanks to her small sister).

"Hayakuro," Maku spoke, using his stern caution voice. "Once you know, please tell me what you can."

"I will, Brother." She replied, the gravity of the uncertainty plain in her tone and her face. With a hut and a kick she spun her horse around, and made off towards the family home. Her mind was fraught with concern; she had no idea what to expect, but she was building herself up for the worst...
