Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It was dark out. Really dark. Nataku was pulling a late shift at the hospital and things were kinda slow. Perhaps that's because it was well past midnight, but Nataku wasn't too aware of the current time. He got bored of sitting in his office, so he wandered the halls looking for something to do. There wasn't much movement going on, so he didn't really see anybody as he walked. Strange... he thought. Eventually, he happened upon the morgue. Figuring he was better suited than most to handle this sort of thing, he walked in and looked through the list of bodies. There were quite a few unidentified ones, and he took it upon himself to try and identify them. He slid open the metal containers holding the corpses, and it didn't even seem to phase him. To stare at a lifeless body was so normal to him that he could literally sleep in that room; if he ever slept.

The first one didn't look familiar at all. Neither did the second. The vast majority of them were unfamiliar and didn't have many distinguishing features that might give hints as to where they came from. One thing he noticed was that there never seemed to be children in here. He figured it was probably because when a child died everyone was up in arms so it would be identified pretty quickly, and these bodies were often the unclaimed/unloved/unknown ones. He looked at the list again. Only one body remained. It was in container A6. He walked over to it and grabbed the handle, sliding it out. The corpse wasn't as pale as the rest, which meant it was fresh. The eyes were glossed over in a fashion that implied blindness. He had seen this before, there was definitely something familiar about it. A few moments later he put it together. A Hashigaki! he thought. That was a hint as to who or where this body came from.

A voice sounded in his head. Perfect! We can go tell Akkuma. Nataku knew that voice. Senkaku was back. But he didn't understand what he meant. Akkuma? That's when it came to him. Akkuma was the demon he had met way back at Kuro's place. Nataku had helped perform a not-so-legal surgery to transplant some eyes. There was something else though. Akkuma had visited him at the hospital. There was some interesting conversation, but then it was blank. Nataku couldn't remember the rest. What had happened?

So it was you. You took control there. Why? What was so important about Akkuma that you needed to get involved?

He makes a great ally, you know. You didn't realize that and you were gonna mess it up, so I stepped in. Trust me, having him on our side is better for both of us.

And what does that have to do with this?

He has an ability that requires corpses. Sound familiar? But no, before you jump to conclusions, he's not like us. His ability is... different. Now I'm gonna take over here, so would you be so kind as to step aside?

Nataku wasn't really given an option. Suddenly he wasn't in control. But this was different than before. He could still feel what was going on. He was still conscious. He wasn't going to forget this. It wasn't like the other times at all. Senkaku slid the container back into the wall, closing it. He then left the morgue and went back to Nataku's office. Meanwhile, a little girl snuck out of her home while her parents slept. She wandered through the darkness and searched for Akkuma.

He knew where to look. Akkuma had opened a new headquarters for his Miroku Clan. The girl approached there, and looked at the guard in front. The guard gave her an uninviting look, and seemed concerned that she might actually try to go in. She would. When she approached, the guard stepped in front of her and told her, "No children allowed."

Her red eyes stared at him, sizing him up. Senkaku didn't want to hurt the guy, but he knew he could. The guy expected this to be a little girl, not to be one of many paths of an insanely powerful shinobi. He thought of a different approach. "But I have a message for Akkuma," she said, knowing the name would get the guy's attention. Suddenly her eyes swirled into the rippled pattern of the Rinnegan. "And I don't think he'd be too happy to find out you tried to get in my way." The guard took a step back. He didn't expect the eyes. He hesitated, but stepped aside and didn't say another word. Her eyes turned back normal and she walked in.

There were quite a few strange looks as people saw the innocent looking child wander in, but most people let her be. After a small amount of time, she was able to locate Akkuma. She approached him, bowed, and then said, "Nataku requests your presence in the hospital. You should know what it's for." And then, she just vanished. Literally, vanished. No puff of smoke, no anything. She was just removed from the situation altogether. Senkaku used his other path to summon her out. She had gotten the job done, now he just had to wait for Akkuma.
