Character's Physical Description:
He is a large, 1,80m tall lad. His hair is black, a bit curly, and kept short and combed into a tasteless childish haircut with two small curls of hair dangling onto his forehead. He wears glasses, which are somewhat warped out open by width of his head, which houses his large nose and mouth; along his small black eyes like onyx beads. His skin is fair, slightly olive, and smooth. The rest of his body is also pretty fat, graced by his poor lifestyle choices, although he doesn't seem to care too much about it.
Character's Mental Description: He's blunt, shameless and narcissistic, although he isn't malicious. He just likes the stuff that he likes - his collectibles, his cards, his figurines - and doesn't care about what people think about it. Unless it's to say something blatantly wrong, like that the best SSR card is the second Raikage. Now that's heresy he won't stand for, and he will make sure to let you know that the SSR of the third is way better, and has more collector's value because of its misprinting, along more pointless trivia you probably shouldn't care about.
Beyond his front of being a huge otaku, he is actually a very capable ninja, having opted to take on a style of strategy and "outsmarting" his opponent, as he believes in a philosophy of mind over might, which also serves as his excuse to himself for not working out. He takes great pride in his intellectual ability, which he believes to have refined over years of playing collectible card games and min-maxing his characters on tabletop roleplays.
But yeah. He's a friendly guy. He doesn't like fighting just for the sake of violence, rather, he enjoys it as a way to prove his intellectual supremacy over his opponents - combat is a sport. And while he is in favor of having the endless pointless wars and political rubbish between countries end, he understands that at times, unfortunately, violence has to be the answer.
His time spend out in the frozen wastes of Kirigakure has harmed his psyche a bit, making him believe that his puppets and devices have personalities of their own as a way to cope with the loneliness and death around him, but aside from that, he is entirely sane.

Character History:
Zhao is from a former village very near to Water Country, on the coast adjacent to it, which was largely populated by fishermen - his family was the only group of ninjas there, to protect it. Zhao, yearning for a better life than just the pitiful jobs that his village needed him to do, got enlisted as a shinobi for Kirigakure, and spent his youth there, training to become a better ninja. And it was during this time that he became enamored with technology and science; a concept that he has neglected for so long at this hometown and its mundane fishing concerns. Science hit him hard, and it hit him good - he immediately got into studying the most he could out of it at the academy, soon becoming a self-made prodigy in puppet, traps and other mechanical arts.
News and tales of a far-away land of “Lightning Country” had arrived to him too. A place of heroes, epic battles and most importantly - scientific progress. At least, that was what the imported collectible cards told him it was like, and the short-story scrolls that he regularly bought. A magical, wonderful place. A place he'd love to visit - perhaps even meet the Raikage if he was lucky enough! It was nothing like how boring the Mist Village seemed to him, stuck in their comparatively ancient ninja ways. Lightning-land was a place of progress! Innovation! A place for someone like him!
Feeling how he didn't really belong here, and enthralled by the militaristic mystique of Lightning-land, as a Quixote, he set himself out to pursue his dream. He spent all of his money on travelling, staying at inns and eating, to then continue to travel onwards, nearly across the whole globe.
Until finally, he made it. With very little left to his name now, having spent it all to get here, he finally arrived to the gates of the village.
And he was utter disappointed.
It was just... normal. Painfully similar to how Kirigakure was like. Sure, there was a good amount of technological advances here and there but nothing like the overdone sci-fi dreams he had cooked up in his head about this place. Where were the robots? The flying cars? His heart was broken.
Without a way to go back, lost, frustrated, he tried to find a way for himself to earn money to buy a trip home. He found work as a bouncer for a nightclub at the Susukino District, and after a couple of weeks of being employed there, he got extended an offer to become a proper shinobi for the forces of Kumokagure after an incident where he proved his immense combat potential during a fight between him and a gang at the nightclub entrance.
He declined, at first, announcing that his loyalty lay with the Water Country, although wishing that he could continue his employment and contributions to Lightning until he could buy a trip back home.
And soon after, the worst struck - Water Country got frozen over, while Zhao was away on his weird vacation. And his family and loved ones had all declared to be dead on the lists of casualties spread by the media.
Zhao felt annihilated, inside. He felt immensely lucky that he managed to escape the catastrophe, but now that his country was gone, and his family gone as well, he felt empty, lost.
With nowhere else to go, he approached the recruiter again, and accepted the offer to become a shinobi for Lightning Country, because his old nation was… gone.
He did a few missions as a Genin to start out and took a few classes to learn about Lightning’s ways, but eventually, his feelings caught up with him, and after leaving a notice that he wouldn’t be taking any missions for a while, he left Kumokagure to return to Water Country to try to save anyone still stuck there that he could.
However, on his solitary travel towards the disaster area, he ended up being ganged up on and captured and sent to Marsh Country, where he has served as a slave until very recently. There, he was forced to help the regime with their battles and engineering given his abilities, although he did his best to be compliant and helpful, to earn their trust. Over the years, he has been put in the worst conditions, and been given the worst jobs, and he has done his best to fulfill and be a good slave for them.
For years, he has slowly eroded the suspicion of his captors, and after years of his facade, he has finally managed to escape by being trusted with a little too much freedom. During a walk that he had been allowed to take, he made a run for it, escaping.
So now, after so long, he is back, and surprisingly more powerful than how he left.

What is Limbo Training?
This is the training that you would have gotten if you did not move on to your new character's life. Your caps are determined by your rebirthed stats. You must keep a record of your stats gained during limbo in your OCR thread. You may NOT request for an automatic rank up should you find that your new stats allow you to upgrade. Limbo training is only for people who have died in modded combat or suicide. Anyone whose character has not died is still capable of RPing that character until their OCR is finalized, and thus can train as normal.

Things you do NOT need to state, but take note of:
- Abilities = All of your Abilities are auto-untrained upon rebirth. In order to have any Abilities for your new character, you must activate them by posting in your character’s Dojo topic in your new village.
- Character History = By suiciding/rebirthing, you're making a new character. This means your new character must not know or remember anything of your old character's life/thoughts/feelings. If your new character has ANY direct/indirect connection to your old character, you MUST state that in your new character history write up for Admin & Village approvals. All Medical or ANBU related experience should be reflected in your history along with CA or BL influence.
- Editing Your New Character Application = Do not edit a post you have made in your OCR. You must copy all of your information from your last post and add the changes to the new post. This is for papertrail reasons.
Things that do NOT transfer with your next character:
Please take notice of which ASP shop items that you have bought transfer with your character, and which do not.
