Yasei stands at a moderate 140 cm and 37 kg, making him shorter than most of his classmates. A wild grin often lights up his face as his untamable hair threatens to break out of the band attempting to hold it back in a ponytail the burn scar rising up from his cheekbone just further pushing his wild appearance. His tanned skin and surprisingly sturdy body lends itself to showing the amount of time he spent outside running around and getting into places he shouldn't be. Given his upbringing by one of the village ninja most of his clothes is built for active wear and to help not restrict movement often being of darker colors like black or dark green.
For as long as Yasei has been in the village he has been known as a troublemaker whether it's picking fights with bigger kids, stealing fruit from the trees in clan compounds or sneaking into the training grounds to watch the Shinobi spar. For as much of a troublemaker he is, Yasei often can be found talking with great excitement to other students that don't have many friends and even trying to involve them in his dumb schemes or training. Yasei often finds himself rushing into situations without thinking first causing him to get into trouble but when his lack of a plan backfires on him he doesn't deflate or complain he just hops back up and launches himself back into the situation, He's nothing if not extremely stubborn and determined. Being an orphan has put a dent in Yasei's personality and even seems to have a put somewhat of a chip on his shoulder as he can be heard responding to insults with "At least my mom chose me, Yours wouldn't chose you if you were the only option!" Quite often.
As a child Yasei was found outside the village in a nearby forest clearly lost the leading theory being he was a part of a caravan that had been ambushed by bandits not more than a mile from where he was found. After being brought to the village and not being able to find any trace of survivors from the caravan other than the young boy, one of the village Shinobi,Hasegawa Yūka, that found him took him in wanting to keep him from growing up without any parental figure as she had. A few years after being taken in by her Yasei expressed interest in becoming a ninja as well and following in her footsteps to help people. Given this she began to train him at home til he was old enough to go the academy during which she saw his clear interest in taijutsu even getting him custom hand wraps with her family name and a message "To my son, Always remember family is who you choose and home is where you're safe and loved" on the inside. Since he got into academy he has pushed himself every day to be the best he can be no matter the struggle.
