Character's Physical Description: Naomi is a slender but curvy young woman who stands an inch or three above six feet, with pale skin not unlike the color of freshly fallen snow. A dusky length of cloth is perpetually wrapped about the upper half of her face, covering her eyes entirely. The woman's lips are thick and rather pouty, though they bear downturned corners that transforms even her most passive expressions into ones of faux irritation, though she is most often irritated, regardless. Her visage is crafted of sharp angles and lines, with a soft jawline that tapers to a slightly rounded chin. Though the presence of a hood and use of various cloth strips usually conceals and holds her hair back entirely, her thick locks are a deep jet in hue and don't yet brush the tops of her shoulders, and probably never will: she seems quite content with its current length and look.
Character's Mental Description: A rather slothful young lady, Naomi possesses a rather brazen yet somehow quiet demeanor. Her wit is sharp and her tongue is doubly so, and she's known to take an aggressive approach to any other when she actually feels like doing so, which is not usually. She finds most people rather detestable and gross and reacts as such: keeping to herself when she can (which is most days) and responding with a biting, scathing aggressive-aggressiveness whenever approached. Unlike most that have hard exteriors, her interior is also quite cold and mean. There's yet to be a person, place, or thing that's garnered anything better than a rude smirk and equally mean words, and she's quite fine with that. She is quite intelligent, however, which is not often obvious from her conversations or literally anything else. A homebody, she'd rather spend her day in bed with a decent book (Braille, of course) than out in the world or doing anything else that'd require her to step foot outside.
Character History: Naomi was born in Mist. Not that she was old enough to remember much about it, having only been near two years old when her family was forced to relocate to Kumogakure. But she knew that it was the reason why her father seemed so... Lifeless and uncaring. Or it might have been the fact that her mother died from the bone-chilling cold that had swept through Kirigakure, the same cold that had threatened Naomi's life and took her vision entirely. That was when he surrendered what pride and love he had for Mist and left. It was that very pride and love, unhealthy and overwhelming, that had colored his brain into believing that Kirigakure would be fine and that they didn't have to leave, that they'd be safe and perfect if they just waited for a bit longer...
As a blind child from Mist with little control over her Chakra, she knew she was expected to be nothing more than a burden on what was left of her family. And for a while, that's what she was. Eight years of senseless mewling for help shamed both her and her father, frayed at their already fragile minds, and created a rift between them that would never be crossed. It's been another eight years since she felt her father's presence in her life. While she has yet to learn his fate, she never shed a tear that morning she realized he'd gone. It took her a long time to understand why she'd never felt more than a glancing hatred for him.
Though she could never claim the Nara as her own, her own lack of sight and well above-average gave her what she needed to learn how to use her not-so-unique circumstances to her advantage. Though she never was and still isn't a friendly being, one of her instructors was able to convince the girl to do more than sit about angry at the world. He showed her how to use her own personal darkness to mold and control the world's darkness. He showed her how to use it to see without sight and how to fight without needing to be directly aware of her opponents, or even hit them herself, by use of clones and creations, which she was found to excel at.
She graduated the Academy at fourteen years of age, a prodigy in the way that she had control over an element her peers didn't and that she was quite adept at strategizing, but not so in the way of trying at all; indeed, she was held back twice because she didn't care enough to put any effort into her academy life, though many could easily assume that she could have passed with ease.
Now only a Genin, she's spent the last four years of her life occasionally practicing her shinobi arts and usually reading, mainly about her lost home village and of... Other, darker matters altogether.
