Since Shin had finally began to grow in confidence and strength the decision for him to pick up small task and jobs for the locals around his home was something he decided on. Today he found himself tasked with finding a lost cat for an elderly woman. This was your typical run of the mill errand most children found themselves doing around this age but still this was another chance for Shin to prove himself.
Shin began his search covering back alleys and any small area the cat could hide in. Still there was no sign of the feline to be found. The search continued as he tried asking around if someone had seen the cat.
"Excuse me sir have you seen a cat about fitting this description?" He asked a man as he was walking into a shop. "Hmm no can't say I have sorry kid" Was the answer Shin received.
He kept asking around the area hoping someone had seen it. "Excuse me Miss have you seen a cat like this around?" Still it seemed all he got were the words no over and over from people.
"Damn where is this thing?" He pondered where this cat could have wondered off to. He decided to continue his search but in another part of town this time. As he headed to his next search location he knew this was going to be even harder to locate the cat if it was in this area. The streets had far more people in them and food stalls and shops around even more than the other location.
"Damn I will never find it here" Shin said with a sign. With things starting to seem lost his little fox Kyibi decided to try and cheer him up with trying to get him to focus on the far cuter furry animal around that was himself. Kyibi poked Shin on this nose with his face and looked him in the eyes as Shin sat down on a roof of a building hoping to spot the cat. With the little fox looking him in the eyes Shin let out a sigh knowing what Kyibi was saying to him and trying to cheer him up. With that Kyibi licked Shin's face and curled up beside Shin. It was getting late and the cat could not be found and with reluctance Shin decided he had to return home and search again tomorrow for the missing feline. First though he needed to let the old woman know today he made no progress.
Shin knocked on the woman's door hoping he would not be disappointing her too much

"Yes?" The old woman said as she opened the door.
"I'm sorry mam I was not able to find him today but...I" as he was speaking he saw that very cat he was looking for all day walk up and rub against the woman's leg and purr.
"Ahh, well you see I seemed to have overlooked him. It's the oddest thing he matches the couch and I just did not notice him." She said with a bit of a chuckle.
Shin was astounded at the fact that the cat had never been lost at all the old woman just thought it was.
"I see well I am glad he is safe at least" Shin said with a smile as he turned to go home.
"That woman is defiantly off the help list for sure" Shin muttered to himself as he neared his home.
