Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The day oh the so nice and cloudy. So rare to see a day in Kumogakure that isn't cloudy. We live in a cloud the has clouds above it. Maybe they thought that building a village here would keep stupid people away and so far its has worked. Saigo was strolling along the gates of this great village. The size of these immense gates made Saigo seem small, and standing at six foot six inches that's a hard task to accomplish. The gates brought up yet another thought to Saigo. "Men and women have protected this village from complete disaster. One recent one is the Demon invasion which I was not a part off... Was stuck in the hospital for weeks. Miracle I am still alive today." This village had strong foundations thanks to its people and right now it is stronger than ever.

The clouds drifted and the sound of birds could be heard. Saigo kept strolling along with his long brown sheepskin coat. His black jeans and combat boots made him look like a mercenary and his milky dark chocolate skin was there like that could ever leave him. He wasn't wearing shades today, since the sun was behind the clouds and his headband, he made it into a belt to make sure his pants don't sag down bellow his buttocks making him look like a complete retard. It was a nice day to meet new people or maybe a rival or something along those lines.

"Ai, oooww!!" She whimpered, head recoiling back as her tongue quivered and ached. "These thermal cups do too good a job sometimes… It was a wonder how a cup of coffee stayed so hot in such harsh temperatures. It was quite the sight to see a grown woman with her tongue out and fanning her hands around liking a raging chimpanzee. Then again, Gin wasn’t like most kunoichi you found trolling around. At one time, she had been that picturesque, prim-and-proper girl, but those times were but a memory. Her combat attire hung off her thin, withering frame as she settled herself with a sigh. "Well this is worthless," Giving the full cup of coffee a toss towards a nearby waste bin, it felt like old times. Times when the ANBU were actually expected to watch the gates as an absolute requirement.

It was an odd occurrence to not have a missing attempt at least three to four times a month; which peaked her suspicions. 'I think we've only had, what, one attempt in the past couple of weeks?' Maybe people were really taking this civil crisis seriously and proceeding with caution. Then again... 'I hope there isn't something being planned behind the scenes.' Her brow furrowed as she theorized all the multiple possibilities. Looking at how well things had gone the past couple of weeks simply did not settle well with her.

Gin scanned the perimeter to notice a middle-aged man walking along the interior wall of the gates; noting that he carried no clear sign of hostility, she approached him. "Hello there sir!" She called, letting her shorter legs break out in a gentle trot to close the distance between them. "What is your business here, if I may ask?" With a more thorough once over, she clearly could spot that he was a shinobi of the village; but remained cautious as she stopped to speak with him. "Enjoying the weather I suppose?"

"My business? Here?" Saigo responded quickly kinda baffled by the question. "So one can't just walk around with out being questioned... Eh standard procedure I guess."</COLOR><i></i> He let his mind settle as he exhaled lightly. <COLOR color="#800000">"Ahhh... Yes, that is it, enjoying the cold weather of Kumogakure! Just wish I had a cup of hot coffee to make it perfect!" Saigo exclaimed with a smile on his face as he scratched the back of his head with his rough left hand. Saigo was clearly being sarcastic about the weather as he wasn't a huge fan of winter weather. He laughed a bit and then took a breath and exhaled it lightly. The kunoichi was clearly either on duty or wondering around aimlessly like Saigo. "I am just walking aimlessly around Kumo, thinking about times when I was just a Gennin. Man I swore I could punch a hole through the gates no problem..." And then he thought about what had just came out of his mouth. "I don't mean that I want to... I mean like I was kid, merely eleven... Oh man this sounds all kinds of fucked up..." Embarrassed, he quickly turned a little red on his cheek but was barely noticable thanks to his milk chocolate skin. He got a little nervous when he realized what he said and in the location he was in. Specially with someone that could be on duty that just approached him. That was Saigo's usual luck. He quickly realized this could turn bad on him so he did the only thing he thought he could do. Ah so stupid.

"I am sorry about that, I let my memories rant in my head and then that came out. Not quite the best thing to say to a kunoichi in this place where stupid people make dumb choices." He said as he scratched his head with his left hand once more. His rough hand scratching against his rough head made a weird sound and sometimes audible to those close to him. He spoke again. "I am sorry where are my manners. I am Ishi Saigo, here from Kumogakure and proud member of the Kyoujouran family nice to meet you..... Miss? " Saigo didn't ask that as a if he was asking if she was a Miss or a Mr. He was asking more like her name or something to not be disrespectful to her.

(( OOC = I haven't RPed in a while... Like a long time so if I do write something out of line etc cant understand what I am trying to say or if it is just a bad post please let me know. I am trying to get back in this :D and dont mind the criticism at all :D ))

Honestly, what else did people expect? Gate guards weren't there to stand at attention and be pretty; otherwise the missing success rate would nearly double. It also tended to be a very dry job on any other, unevenful day. Gin eased into her stance, as she looked up at the smiling Kyoujouran. "Really? You missed your chance. Just threw mine out a couple seconds ago," She laughed sheepishly, gesturing to the waste bin. "Burnt my tongue.." It didn't strike her as an odd thing to tell a stranger, but then again, social situations tended to challenge her anymore. Nothing came natural, it all seemed forced or robotic.

This man seemed just as unnerved as she was to her disbelief, and in fact seemed quite nervous. "No, no its quite alright. I've heard similar things many times.. This would be the point I would ask you to reconsider your decision, you have other options--- Ya dee ya dee yaaa... " Pausing for a moment to consider this man who called himself Saigo, she gave a thin smile. "Eh, I don't think I need to go through that shit with you though. I am curious though, what are you referring to.. Those memories?"

'That noise is coming from his skin?' She had never come across many Kyoujouran, as they were a rarity amongst all the Santaru in the village. It was an intriuging sound, which brought her an unconscious step forwaId to further investigate. To her surprise, he introduced himself, "Oh!" She exclaimed, moving back again to give him some space. "Hoshiko Gin, a pleasure Ishi-San."

((ooc: :3 ))

"Just my Luck I guess..."<i></i> He thought as she pointed to the trash bin. She spoke a bit and Saigo was surprised that gate guards didn't have this stone wall attitude or way of working. He believed for some odd reason that when on duty these people were no joke. He was relieved that she knew his comment wasn't an action against the village just a thought of the past.

"Pleasure to meet you. Hoshiko. And thanks so much for not giving me the whole long speech about my options." Saigo responded. For some odd reason Saigo forgot how to reply to someone properly by their family name. He noticed she stepped in for a slight second but then stepped back. "Was she checking me out? Well Saigo you are not that bad looking.... Nah maybe she just leaned forward by mistake, yeah that is what happened..."</COLOR><i></i> He said to himself but quickly remembered that she asked <COLOR color="#8000FF">"Those memories?". Those memories. The times that you did a mission like get the cat from this house because it ran away. You practiced your skills of throwing a shuriken or Kunai correctly. When flirting with a crush was tripping them when you saw them. Yeah those days the awesome days. Just the thought of that brought Saigo back.

"You know, when missions were more like find this cat and bring it back. Or stay as body guards for the famous band. You know, the kind of life you lived when you were a Genin or an Academy Student... When life was much more simple. You know the good old days. Now don't get me wrong, missions now a days are still fun and they push you. But not just as a person, they push your limits." Saigo responded with a smile on his face. Then he went on. "Its weird though. Since when did it mean that maturing meant losing your youth?" Saigo went completely off subject for a second. Why, he doesn't even know. Maybe the fact that he was still nervous or maybe because he was just being himself. In the end the question was laid there out in the open.

"Um, you can just call me Gin.." Calling her by her last name seemed strange; being called simply by her last name outside of her work setting or simply as unfamiliar as she was with him that is. "And don't worry about it, I'm about done with my shift so it saves me the trouble."

He seemed to be staring at her, and she chuckled nervously. 'I wonder if he thought...' Well in truth, she had been checking him out in a sense; but perhaps not in the way he hoped. She was waiting for a long drawn out story, and was pleasantly surprised that he was only speaking in general terms. It brought back bitter sweet memories, memories of a time when everything had been seemingly perfect in her life. "Yeah, I miss the simplicity of those days... I used to really look forward to getting older.." She frowned and shook her head. "Needless to say, it just isn't as easy as you think it is when you're a kid. Decisions really seem to catch up to you quick..."

Gin had a hard time thinking positively about anything anymore, but she gave him a reluctant smile. "But, yeah I feel way older then twenty-three. So I'm not sure if I feel the same there."

'I lost my innocence and everything else, seven years ago... all because of two horrible decisions..' Her free spirit had died long ago, and out of self-shame, she had quickly become an empty shell of who she used to be. "Anyways," She began, trying to get her mind off things and looking at her watch. "May I join you on your walk, Ishi-San?"

Her chuckle made Saigo think something went wrong or extremely well. He ignored it so it doesn't affect him personally. He listened carefully and then he responded. "When you are young you want to grow up. But when you grow up you want to go back and keep your youth."<i></i> He said that with a 'True story' attitude. But Saigo he thought differently. He didn't think maturing meant losing anything. Years only add knowledge, wisdom. A kid is innocent, but a grown man can still be innocent in mind, but his actions can be different. Saigo was one in touch with his body and mind. He didn't drink alcohol, or smoke any kind of grass. But he loved to have fun. Now he is mature but he still has his youth. He walked all of Kumo on his hands, and then did it again to see if he could do it again. Now it had become a training exercise for him every two days. Lucky for Gin, it wasn't today.

"Well I think this way. We all mature but being young is a mind set. Like we are all mature, until someone brings out some bubble wrap."<i></i> He said with a smile. In heart and mind Saigo was young. He never lost his youth in fact he believes he has gotten younger as he is now much stronger and has insane amount of stamina. "Well I am 29, and I understand why you say that. Our jobs are hard and bring us to make life or death choices. Mistakes cause us to learn and become wiser. Plus you should never let things bring you down. We are humans and even though we seem strong like steel, our wills can sometimes crack and weaken. Keep your will strong like your fist. And keep your mind clear. Fight with your will and you will never break I promi......" Then he realized he was going off on a rant again. He stopped there and then extended his hand in a gesture of being polite.

"You lead the way Gin, and sorry for going off in a rant. This is my off day from training so I don't have plans." He said this with a smile. Saigo was usually training and since his training seemed crazy, no one wanted to train with him. Maybe punching a tree with just a three inch punch seemed stupid, or squatting five hundred pounds one hundred times was just crazy. Or was it because he didn't think it was enough? But to get it clear he wasn't around people much and when company showed itself he was more than happy to accept it.

"Quite frankly.." The woman began flatly while looking up from her watch, "I don't have the time to find my lost youth. And I have never understood this fluffy kitten-esque fascination with bubble wrap." Perhaps at some point in her life she would have enjoyed the simplistic joys brought upon from the poking and popping of such devices. She felt unwarranted resentment towards this Saigo character, who seemed quite cheerful in his preaching. Did she really come off as one of those angsty prepubescents, in need of such a speech? Gin took careful watch to see when he was finished, and then turned her back to him, walking and expecting him to follow. "You ever think of holding a motivation seminar, Ishi-san?" Gin joked dryly.

"Hoshiko Gin, I'm out guys." She whispered into her headset to the other guards on duty. Nonchalantly placing one hand in her pocket, she ripped the set off with her other to let it fall around her neck. "That thing really hurts the ears after a while." There was a moment of silence as she walked along with this stranger. "Umm... you'll have to excuse me. I'm not used to company outside of work.." She regarded him with some slither of remorse-- poor sap, she wasn't much company. "What I said earlier though, about the seminar thing... you ever considered teaching? You've got quite the silver tongue, you'd probably do good at it..."

"Actually, could have done me a world of good a few years back!" A genuine smile came to her face, an odd flicker of her kinder, sheltered days. "Eh hem--" Catching herself, she frowned, looking anywhere to think of something else to say. "But yeah.. I'm sure there would be plenty of students happy to pop a squat and listen to ya.."

The wind blew a cold breeze into Saigo's body. The breeze seem to have gone right through his stone like skin and hit his spine. A small shiver worked its way up. How? How in this world did someone just not like bubble wrap? The simple joy of it was almost orgasmic, to everyone and everything. Even a dog would love bubble wrap. Saigo didn't move, even though his spine commanded that he shiver. He didn't want to show how bad that had actually impacted him. He listened and walked but in the back of his mind he still didn't seem convinced. "Never in my life have I met someone who didn't like bubble wrap... Maybe..." Then she said it. It wasn't in code, but it wasn't as if it was as clear as water. People live their life and things happen. Saigo had meet a few people who's lives completely changed after an accident. Just one and those people never looked or saw the world the same ever again. He took a breath and decided that he would stop his preaching. Sometimes people don't want to hear it, and some grow resentment over others who just don't want to leave them alone. Saigo had not experienced such things, but he surly didn't want her to be in an weird spot. And after her comment of not having company outside of work, well then that made two of them.

"Well I never put much thought into it."</COLOR><i></i> He said as he placed his hand over his head and looked to the sky for a second. The clouds covered the sky and it gave Saigo something to think about. "But I guess I can give that a shot some day." He said with a smile as they walked together yet kinda apart. They both were two people who were heavily dedicated to work well that is what Saigo thought. So maybe they could talk about it or maybe something else? He pondered as he spoke.

"Well are you hungry? We could stop somewhere to eat if you would like. After a day of work food can get your mind of things." He said as he was kinda hungry himself. Then he decided to add. "Or if you rather just talk about what ever and keep walking, it is up to you." He said as he kinda felt weird just talking. Maybe it was the fact that he didn't have a goal for this. He was just strolling along to see what happens no actual goal to achieve. <COLOR color="#800000">"And for the record, that makes two of us..."<i></i> That slipped out of his mouth and all he could do was give a weak smile. "I hope she gets that I don't usually have company either.. dammit man, get your act together!"<i></i>

"Teaching can be quite rewarding; I taught a class.... once..." Gin smirked, "Let's just say it wasn't for me.." It actually hadn't gone as bad as she made it sound, she was however, quite curious to see how exactly Saigo percieved her. "It isn't for everyone, but you seem like you could handle it. Then again, I've been wrong more times then right." Her smirk faded as she went silent again; as much as she detested this man's blind optimism, it was something she admittedly missed feeling. 'I think maybe I respect him in a way...' Stopping in mid-walk, before he mentioned going to get something to eat, the woman gave him a stern glare. "If you do try it out, don't prove me wrong."

She stayed like that for a moment, only to crack a small smile and give him a good shrug. "You'll have to excuse me. I've been told I don't always play well with others." Beginning her slow trot to keep up with his gait, she motioned back towards the village with her head. "Anyways, I'm ready to get out of here. Let's go get some food..." Well he could eat. 'Maybe I'll just have a morsel or two.. or just a glass of water..'

"She must have almost killed someone... or maybe set an academy student on fire? What happened that made her only do it once?" he pondered for a few seconds. Truth was he wanted to know the reason but he kept a nice smile trying to keep his inner thoughts inside of his mind. He listened carefully and couldn't help but stare back. "The fuck?" Then she cracked a smile and made Saigo laugh.

"Ahhh you got jokes... I see, I see..." He said as he bumped into her, smiling and laughing. Maybe she might take that weirdly, so he went back to were he was standing. As they walked away from the gates, Saigo couldn't help but wait to see how the rest of the day would go...
