Hideaki Nanami 七海秀秋 || 16 year old Kumogakure Medical Nin In Training
Physical Description:
Nanami is a tall girl for her age, standing proudly at just over five feet tall. She has a lightly tanned skin and a wiry build, possessing a thin frame of 91 pounds that is packed tight with sinewy muscle. Her bangs that stop short of her bright brown eyes, she has a short moptop of messy white hair that has grown wild since it was cut short a year ago. At its longest, it reaches just short of her shoulders but it's still growing. She has the look like the others, a youth who's been pressed into hard physical activity for most of her adolescence.
Not unlike others in her circumstances, her body is a modest collection of scars, mementos won from her trials in Kumogakure. Small pale white scars from knicks, training accidents and near misses. She almost always wears a few wide purple bruises caught in some perpetual state of healing. Her knuckles are a collection of split, bruised scarred skin with knuckles that pop after certain movements suggesting their vague displacement. Her nose has a slight crook to it, another mark for the collection.

Personality:
She is a soul who almost singularly craves conflict above all things. She isn't bloodthirsty in her core, she doesn't crave misery or violence but the thrill of pitting herself into a situation that she has to overcome. Something about her nature pulls her towards chaos. She has no qualms about hurting or being hurt and part of her probably enjoys the prospect of either quite a bit. She sees herself as a fighter first and foremost, in a society where her only value can be that, she strives to for it. She likes to be within the unknown, to test herself, to improve.
And sometimes she likes to stare at the clouds. Nanami is just as prone to taking it easy, lazing about and taking in the sights as she is to commit herself to some dedicated training regimen. She's content to chase down some new food people are enjoying in the market, or taking a long walk somewhere private as she would be to throw herself into a chaotic uncertain fight.
It's an uneasy harmony, and sometimes she feels herself pulled by the opposed nature of her desires, stretched by whims that make her fickle in how she'll behave from one moment to the next. No doubt this plays a large part in how she's often perceived as being a loner, it isn't that she doesn't enjoy others company, but she can be a hard person to get along with. She likes conflict, after all, and without that desire to fit in she's content equally to allow people into her life but also to let them go. She's not the type to change for her environment, but neither does she seek to stand out unecessarily. She goes through life her own way, as her self with a certain rigid determination seeking out her desires and whims at her own pace.

Nanami was not born within the boundaries of Kumogakure, but her parents were. Once upon a time they had served the Land of Lightning, and once their service fulfilled they turned to settle their lives, they deserved their peace. But they owed a price to the land they served still, their child's service in perpetuity to their own. Their decision was unremarkable, rare but not unforeseeable. They sought to live outside of the bounds of the land they once served and raised their daughter in quiet.
She had six years with them. Six years of a quiet life, so they hoped but Nanami was not a quiet child, she didn't seem to want a peaceful life, at least not solely. She was rowdy, wore the occasional mean streak, sought to live outside the boundaries of her homes. She loved her parents, at least she is pretty sure she did. She had more time with them than without but she doesn't think of them much anymore if she thinks of them at all. They were a part of her past, not her future just like the night she was taken. She doesn't think about it, doesn't dwell, doesn't hold on to some anger or longing for what might have been. She can't. She doesn't know how.
She thrives in the Academy. Where better could there be for a soul like her? Someone who craves conflict, someone who desires personal strength over others? What reason could she have for missing a rural life she barely remembers? She fights, she survives, because she wants to because she likes it. Kumogakure is her home now.
