Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Name: Hideki Riku
Age:10
Physical Description:
Riku stands at 136cm in height while weighing 33kg. The way Riku holds himself daily, with his bright attitude and self-confidence makes him seem taller then he really is. He was born with green eyes and white hair, kept in a wild ungroomed manner of which he prefers.
The clothing he wears on a casual basis tends to change frequently as he spots new bright colours. The default clothing that he keeps close to heart between fashion trends is a basic dark brown robe with soft rose red line around the collar, matched with light brown pants and sandals.
Mental Description:
Riku is noticeable by his large amount of self-confidence, border lining on arrogance. While a bright mind to tasks that catch his attention, Riku's tendency to impulsive decisions leads to his failure in tasks that fail to catch his attention. His impulsive seeming choices and self-assured actions hide his desire to be in control of most situations, his need to have control over a situation being what makes him give a confident face.
History:
Riku was born within the Hidden Leaf Village, his mother and father were Leaf shinobi. Throughout his youth, Riku kept a leaning towards his mother and her side of the family. His father wasn’t a cruel man but he was harsh, and as Riku matured and rebelled against his father’s lessons it created a rift between them. Outside of the family household, Riku became known as troublemaker like many of the youths, getting his joy out of conning the people, he would often set up a crude table in the market districts and try deceiving people out of their yen, having a fondness for cards. As he reached 6 years of age, this thrill wasn’t enough, as he began to try delivering fake messages for yen and sometimes outright stealing coin purses, earning him ire with the shinobi.
By the age of 10, his family had finally talked Riku into joining the academy, namely from the urging of his mother.

Core Ability Request: Temporal Strider
At Riku’s conception he seemed born with what his family had feared was some form of nerve damage. The child would suddenly twitch before anything happened or take moments to finally notice someone trying to catch his attention. This was Riku displaying his first signs as temporal strider. From the child’s perspective, time would speed up and slow down every so subtlety such that his infantile mind couldn’t understand when to notice what was happening in the ‘now’. This difficulty led to the child only learning his first words at 2 years of age and took till he was 3 to properly adjust and seem normal.
What was at first insecurity for Riku, fearing even as a child so young that he would never be able to be in control eventually developed into a desire to control what he felt was an affliction and not lose control to anything. This desire to not fail is what generated Riku’s self-confident aura, and the time when he and his father began to drift apart. He began to visit the streets and in test of his ability started performing ‘tricks’.
He attempted several games, such as cards and ball in a cup cons and as he practiced them, he discovered his ability to change things ever so subtlety. The card in a deck seeming to wait a moment before moving from actions already done, hidden by the shuffling of the cards. The ball within a cup, mysteriously rolling out of the cup mid-shuffle as if already nudged.
As he discovered his abilities, so did his desire to try better things, attempting to swipe coin purses by lifting them up as he walked by, letting it appear to simply fall into his hands. Every so often even trying to knock a bucket of water down on a passing shinobi, quickly moving away before it caught up to avoid blame.
His use of these abilities was subtle, but to the observant eye with knowledge of the world that shinobi often possess, it was only time till someone realised what Riku was doing. With some pressure from the shinobi that had caught him, he began to listen to the shoving of his family to join the academy.
