Suzu is a tiny girl, standing at around four feet tall and having a very petite figure. Her eyes are of a silvery hue and her hair is straight and black. Suzu tends to dress in a somewhat cutesy manner, choosing skirts and dresses over more 'practical' clothing.

Being as young as she is, Suzu's personality is not very well defined at this point. She does tend to lean more on the obedient side, not wanting to rebel against authority unless she is given a very good reason to do so. She's also somewhat sociable most of the time. But while these traits may have their highs and lows, there are two traits which are inseparable from Suzu's personality.

First, she adores Katsu, ever since she was a little girl she followed the little genius around. She's naturally drawn to him in a fashion that could almost be considered a 'childhood crush'.

Second, she is fiercely protective, she is the type of person who will jump headlong into an arrow for a friend with no regrets whatsoever. She often takes her protective side to an extreme, allowing her to draw out heroic levels of resolve when the stakes are high.

History: Suzu's parents were both esteemed and respected guards, charged with protecting Tenouza at all costs. However, they both gave up the soldiering life when their daughter was born so that they could spend more time with Suzu as she grew up. Suzu's parents were both trained in combat medicine, and the experience that allowed them to treat sick and injured guards also allowed them to be successful civilian doctors. But every night, when they spent time with their child, Suzu's parents would tell stories of how they had stopped robberies, saved homeless children, and done countless other heroic exploits... all in the name of God and State.

These stories provided the basis for Suzu's morality, the morality of a protector. Suzu recognized the bravery of her parents and tried her best to emulate it. Whenever bullies tried to harass the other kids in her school, Suzu would step in and take hits for the victim, and this behavior gave her no shortage of friends, eventually the instances of bullying in Suzu's school started to decrease, as the ruffians realized that picking a fight would only end with Suzu delaying until a teacher arrived to deliver justice to the attacker.

Also, during this time Suzu struck up a friendship with the prodigy priest, Miyatogi Katsu. She enjoyed the boy's sharp intellect, and felt somewhat sympathetic for his social problems. Eventually, it became more and more common for Suzu to be seen with the young clergyman.

So, of course, when Katsu left his home to pursue a new life in Kumogakure, the first thing Suzu did was beg to be allowed to go with him. Of course, there was another reason too; Suzu wanted to become a ninja, she knew that by learning to use chakra she could learn how to better protect other people. At first Suzu's parents were hesitant, but Suzu was very strong-willed, and eventually they allowed her to travel with Katsu and join Kumogakure.

She now lives under Katsu's care, enthusiastically learning everything the academy can teach her while keeping her friend company as he works both at the academy and at building a new Church community within the village.

Reason that the new BL/CA matches your character: Rina has a side to her that some find rather.... disturbing. She is a genuinely sweet, kind, and loving child; which serves to make her fighting style even more unexpected than it usually is. Rina has trained as a sniper and an assassin, and as such has learned the most quick, efficient ways to cripple, incapacitate, and kill any living target; and she has learned to suppress her dominant personality almost entirely at will when needed. Her reasoning for learning this style of combat can eventually be traced back to one reason, she doesn't want anyone close to her to die. Rina is painfully aware that missions, especially missions that involve combat, can end in death for anyone involved. Unlike her sister, Rina is not brave or stupid enough (at least in her own opinion) to throw herself into the fray to take hits for her allies, so she has settled for the only other solution she can think of; she has trained to end fights as quickly as possible, to spare her friends and village-mates the injuries that they would sustain during a drawn out fight. The first noticeable difference between the two are their eyes, Rina's eyes are a clear blue hue, and her gaze is one of constant curiosity and cheerful spirit (well, except when she's fighting, then it's more of a 'dull, calm, no-nonsense glare of death'). Her hair is usually worn slightly longer than Mei's, although she isn't overly picky about her hair and will cut it short if it gets in the way. Mei's wardrobe consists of skirts, dresses, and other traditionally 'feminine' clothes; although she keeps a spare field uniform or two stored away for situations where she knows she will outside the village for extended periods or otherwise should be dressed somewhat more 'practically'.

Psychologically, Rina is a very curious and sociable child, although she has a bad habit of getting absorbed into her studies and training. She is very interested in meeting new people, especially if she thinks they know things that she doesn't; new information fascinates her, and she loves learning almost more than anything else. One of the first pursuits this 'gift' was applied to was in fencing, although Rina was not as skilled of a fighter as Mei her ability to think ahead allowed her to come close enough to her sister's skill level to provide an interesting fight. While Rina did enjoy testing herself against her sister, she found greater enjoyment out of sitting down with her textbooks and reading up on all sorts of academic subjects. Where as Mei continued to improve her physical skill, Rina honed her raw mental prowess.

Rina also eventually developed a small affinity for chakra. This, combined with Mei's rapidly improving skills with a blade, almost ensured that Sunagakure's shinobi academy would notice them sooner or later. Surely enough, eventually the prospect of joining the academy was offered to the sisters. Mei accepted almost immediately; Rina took her time to think it over, but part of her always knew what her reply would be: ninja arts offered yet another field of knowledge for Rina to master with the added bonus of providing a vital service to the village, that was enough for her.

Rina's time at the academy has it's share of successes and failures: despite her best efforts, Rina only ever had a very small (yet close knit) circle of friends, but where her social life failed to excel her academic record soared. She has near-perfect marks on every subject she has bothered to study. She now looks forward to her Genin career, and the chance to take on real missions for the village.
