Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Alrright, so I dunno if this is gonna fly. One general RP that has nothing to do with any of the abilities in question. If this is unacceptable, please let me know.
Another day, another dollar.
Or something like that anyway. Fuu took in one last deep breath of the cold mountain air before pulling his mask back into place, taking a minute to adjust it before stepping out into the open air. Having spent most the day locked away in his house, the young man felt he should do a few rounds. Of course, he wasn’t on a scheduled patrol or anything of the sort, so this freed him up to go wherever he pleased. Without a second thought he set off in the direction of his family’s home, keeping a steady pace as he flung himself from roof to roof. He could say a lot of things about his extra arms, how they were awkward at times, or how the further isolated the ANBU from his peers. But he had to admit, they came in handy (huehuehue). Fuu had stopped counting how many times an extra arm to grab and steady himself had saved him from serious injury, possibly even mortal ones. Years ago his birthright had been a burden to him, constantly getting in the way and clumsily breaking things. Of course, it wasn’t long before they became an asset to his everyday life. In fact, he could no longer imagine his life without them, and sometimes shuddered at the… disarming feeling it left him with. (ok I’ll stop.)

It didn’t take long for Fuu to make his way to the quiet corner of the village in which his family resided and it took even less time for him scope out the area. Everything was quiet, aside from a few children in the street and a few adults going about their business. Smiling slightly, he nodded in satisfaction. It wasn’t the first time he was thankful for his family’s privileged life, and he doubted it would be the last. Just as the young man was about to continue on his route, which would take him throughout a majority of Kumogakure before it was over, the unmistakable sound of a kunai in flight snapped him out of his revere. Instinctively, he raised his leg and pivoted to the side just in time to avoid the projectile, which stuck to the ground where his foot had been only seconds before.

“Hey bro!” a familiar voice sounded off from atop a nearby chimney. The ANBU couldn’t but kick himself as his eyes swiveled to meet Akito, his seventeen year old brother, standing proudly atop the stack. His forehead protector gleaming in the sun, the young Genin launched himself downward and landed spryly on the roof adjacent to Fuu. “You realize that you could be charged with treason for attacking an ANBU, right Kito?” the older brother said with a sigh. This was classic Akito, acting on impulse and putting himself out. Fuu couldn’t help but fear that one day, he would pull the wrong stunt and end up dead, or worse. “Not much of an ANBU if you ask me!” the boy shouted back, “Letting a lil ol’ Genin get the jump on him!”

Of course, they both knew what this was. Since the day his younger brother had started in the academy, the child had challenged Fuu relentlessly. Every chance he got, he would try best his big brother, and every time the result was the same. Today would prove no different, the ANBU was sure, but he couldn’t help feeling slightly annoyed. It was time to put Akito in his place, before things got out of hand.

So, without warning Fuu shot his arm out from underneath his robe, firing a string of web at the Genin’s feet. As predicted the boy managed to leap over the line, though this would not be enough to save him. From underneath the confines of his cloak, five more arms shot out, each firing their own line of web. Each found its home, quickly wrapping Akito in their sticky grasp. With a powerful tug, the boy hurtled towards him like a bullet. Just before impact, Fuu stepped slightly to the side and kicked his leg upwards, snapping it up over his head before bringing it down with controlled force. With a thud, Akito slammed into the hard shingles and began tumbling down the sloped roof. Sighing once again, Fuu casually stepped on one of the broken lines of webbing, bringing his brother to stop mere feet from the roof’s edge. Reaching down, he began hauling his young brother back towards him. Using his military issue Tanto, the ANBU carefully freed the Genin and inspected him.

‘Knocked out cold.’ Fuu thought, slightly amused. Bending over, he gently scooped his brother up and made his way towards his family home. Of course, he couldn’t actually walk into the house, but with some effort he was able to get the Genin through his window and into bed without detection. Pausing for a moment in the room, the young man pulled his mask from his face and inhaled sharply, taking in the smells of his childhood. He dared not dwell long however, and so as quickly and quietly as he entered, he was gone again, shutting the window against the cold air behind him.

Also, changing Shadow Tactics to Sentinel, because apparently Shadow Tactics doesn't exist anymore.

Using an Rp from another thread for Sentinel, replacing Shadow Tactics the nonexistent ability.

“Fuu?” The familiar musical voice rang out as the door opened, snapping the young man out of his reverie. Fuu didn’t need his vision to see that his brother was concerned, the normally melodic voice the boy had been blessed with was dripping with fear. “Akito.” He said with a weak smile, trying for a moment to sit up before falling back in defeat. “How do I look?” Akito could only smile at the old joke, using his brother’s haggard voice to navigate the strange room and move to his side.

“You sound like processed hell brother.” He said with concern, reaching out with the back of his hand and pressing it against Fuu’s bandaged face, resting it there for a moment before pulling it away. “What happened to you?” The genin couldn’t keep the fear from his voice, despite the relief he had felt when Fuu first spoke. Losing your sight as a Hashigaki was almost a right of passage, a transition from your old life to your new. For the six armed ANBU, things would have been much different, his eye sight detrimental to his career as a shinobi. Of course, thanks to the wonders of medical technology the young man’s vision would be returned to him, vastly improved. But the fact that his brother had lost it at all was a shock to Akito, the teen idolizing the ANBU above anyone else.

With a heavy sigh, Fuu did his best to explain the situation, skipping over the increased refugee population and his prior altercation with the unnamed medical shinobi who had put him in this condition. It wouldn’t serve to concern the young boy with such heavy thoughts, especially considering the recent trauma. In turn, Akito did his best to summarize what had been done to Fuu during the surgery, not even attempting to hide his enthusiasm about the subject. “The woman said you’ll not only regain your vision, but that it will be a thousand times better!” He chimed excitedly, his demeanor already shifting from concerned to downright giddy, much to the ANBU’s amusement. His brother had always been the more lighthearted of the pair, quick to a joke while Fuu was quick to a smoke. Despite the considerably lightened atmosphere in the room, the stress prone young man couldn’t help but dwell on the implications. He vaguely remembered filing out various medical forms years ago, back when he had first entered into the ranks of ANBU. It had been a long time, and many changes had been made in the medical division since, but it seemed the forms were still valid. The fact that somebody else’s eyes were in his head was hard to wrap his addled mind around, and he eagerly awaited the return of some medical personnel.

As if on que a female voice spoke up, surprising both the ANBU and the sharp eared Genin. They both swiveled their heads to face the newcomer, a rather humorous gesture considering neither of them could see anything. ”So, I was told you’re awake now.” The woman said, pausing a moment before speaking again. ”Don’t fiddle with the bandages just yet. Your new eyes aren’t ready for the light yet. Soon though. You’ve got a surprisingly good rate of recovery. I’m surprised.“ The ANBU couldn’t help but grimace slightly at the mention of his eyes, his emotions torn between curious and afraid. ”I take it you’re his brother. I assume my assistant has explained the procedure to you?” The medic asked as she crossed the room, Akito moving to the foot of the bed to give her space. “She did, somewhat. I did my best to explain to Fuu but-”“But I’d prefer to hear it from the source.” Fuu interrupted, his jaw clenched slightly. The more coherent he became, the more his mind raced, jumbled questions and statements clogging his mind as he tried to make sense of what this all meant.

Fuu was nearly half way through his first bottle before the gorgeous woman on stage finished her raunchy tune. Indulging in a wave of soft applause, his reaction far more civilized than most of the hoots and hollers that followed the woman’s performance, he watched with mild interest took a drink and a grag from a slim cigarette. She had an amazing singing voice, though something hauntingly familiar about the woman had put the ANBU on edge early on in the song, the man drinking steadily and ignoring the spikes of concern. He wasn’t here on official business, and for just once in his adult life Fuu wanted to just drink in peace. So, paying no mind to the feelings of deja vu as he downed another glass, pouring himself another drink as the band picked up once again, launching into some smooth brassy music.

Before the stressed man could lift this fresh glass to his lips however, a soft ‘bang!’ resonated throughout the room, shaking the dust loose from the ceiling, causing an explosion of microscopic particles to become visible in whenever the fell into a beam of light. Most patrons were undisturbed, going about drinking and watching the busty women like hawks, though a few looked up and around, confused. Fuu himself set his drink back to the table, glancing around the room with his pale gray eyes. ‘What the fuck was that?’ He wondered, the alcohol seeping into his bloodstream clouding the man’ mind as he searched for the source. He had been to this particular establishment on a few occasions, and never once had there ever been a disturbance. The place was known, in the proper circles, as a hub of nefarious activity, the activities happening behind closed doors providing ample excuse for heavy inner security. While the outside looked rundown, in reality the building was extremely secure, with primitive cameras and armed guards throughout. The building had been renovated years ago with one idea in mind, no man would be able to infiltrate undetected. But then again, who would be stupid enough to one attempt a break in on of the most sordid venues in Kumogakure, aside from military shinobi?

A minute later, Fuu got his answer.

Just as he rose his glass to his lips once again, satisfied that whatever had occurred didn’t affect him, the room lit up with explosions, showering most inside with tiny strips of paper. For a moment, even the hardened ANBU was in shock, the heavy liquor slowing down his reaction time by a few seconds. Blinking away the surprise, his eyes focused on the cause of the disturbance just as the room went bright. The business had procedures in place in case of raids and the like, and it seemed as though this was such a case. An army of lights lit in the ceiling above, illuminating the entire room and revealing the two newcomers and forcing Fuu to slam his sensitive eyes shut. “Let’s get this party started!” The familiar voice rang out through the silence, patron and servers alike focusing on the young boy in the middle of the room. Of course, there was a second boy behind them, but in the shock and awe of the moment the while haired boys dramatic entry was all that was noted by most in the crowd.

All except Fuu. Despite his intoxication, the man spotted Kyo almost instantly, his eyes squinting open slightly and searching almost on instinct upon noting the white haired boy, the two something of a duo in the eyes of the ANBU. Fighting the urge to summon his mask, the man jolted up, jostling the table and tipping one of his bottles in his haste. “You idiots!” He shouted at the duo, striding towards them with anger in his eyes. This was no place for official Shinobi to be, let alone two as ill prepared as these. Before he could make it a few steps, the band began to play once more, drawing his attention and filling the silent room. Confused, the ANBU froze, turning his gaze to the band in the corner as he tried to make sense of what was going on. To his shock, he found each of the four band members with their eyes covered, black cloth pulled tightly around their heads. The woman on the stage had likewise bound her eyes, not even flinching despite the boy’s loud interruption. For a moment, all Fuu could do was gawk, his face unable to mask the confusion in his gaze, his arms sliding from their hidden sleeves in his finely tailored suit. The introduction to the song was much like the first, but almost instantly things took a change for the worse.

The woman, ignoring her microphone, turned to face in the direction of the boys, the ANBU behind them staring through a haze at her bound face with a look of revelation on his face, unable to utter but a single word. “Hashigaki.” As if on que, the woman opened her mouth, her voice amplified and distorted as it shook the room, blasting like a shockwave and instantly disorienting all the room. Fuu, his equilibrium already compromised by his steady consumption of spirits, rolled backwards, blasted back by the initial shockwave. Sloppily he rolled to his feet, catching himself roughly on a nearby table and trying to take stock of the situation. Despite the bright light in the room, the ANBU was struggling to see anything, his eyes burning as he tried to retain vision. From what he could see most of the patrons had taken to the floor, clutching their ears and squirming in fear, while the bartender and serving girls had all disappeared. The boys, closer to the woman than Fuu, had probably been affected somehow, though in his daze the man was having a hard time locating them. Reaching into his pockets, he donned his leather gloves in haste, all six arms displayed exquisitely in his fine suit. He was going to have to get the boys out, and there was no way he could protect his identity at this point. Lunging at the woman, he slammed to abrupt and surprising stop, the man failing to see the table moored into the floor in front of him. Under her powerful bombardment, the man would be able to launch an accurate ninjutsu attack, and he was unwilling to risk subjecting his favorite establishment a fiery death. Leaping over the table he was blasted back yet again, this time slamming to the ground on his back before struggling to his feet. In the back of his mind, he hoped the boys were running far, far way.

Though he was only about a dozen yards from the woman, the distance might as well have been miles, his sight degrading more and more with each blast of her powerful voice. 'What the hell is going on?' He wondered, shaking his head and trying in vain to regain his focus. 'I haven't drank that much?' As of now the world was a blur, objects from various distances coming in and out of focus on random. What ever was gonna happen, Fuu needed to act fast before he was unable to act at all.
