Name: Himura Shiro
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Family-
Father: Himura Tanaka (retired Cloud Chunin)
Mother: Yushina Kamita -deceased-
Sister: Himura Yui -deceased-
Physical: Shiro stands at 5'7" and is very well conditioned, having a thin yet muscular body which allows him to utilize both agility and strength with ease. He has light skin and emerald green eyes, and his face often sets into a blank, serious gaze. He dresses practically, his normal outfit consisting of a white robe with no decorative flares and a gray coat to protect him from the elements (and, if needed, to conceal shuriken and daggers).
Mental: Shiro's mind is indeed well-constructed. His studies as an acolyte have given him wisdom far beyond his years. His sense of justice is firm, and he has no tolerance for evil and ungodly acts. His emotions, unfortunately, leave something to be desired, as they are remarkably hidden and underdeveloped. He refrains from showing anything beyond basic emotion, save for very rare circumstances.
Bio:
Spoiler:
Born the son of a well respected priest, Shiro was drawn to the clergy from a young age. By his seventh year he had begun studies as an acolyte and his rate of progress shocked his family and teachers alike. He was a truly happy child, guarded by his loving family...
... a family which, sadly, would be torn apart by cruel fate.
When Shiro was just barely eight his mother died from illness. Joy gave way to sorrow, the boy slowly changed. His studies grew more intense as he began to shut out the world around him. His father and sister worried for him, knowing that the boy would only bring self-destruction on himself. While Shiro continued to allow his family to comfort him, he let no one else disturb his study.
Shiro eventually learned all he could from his teachers, and started to be privately tutored by his father. By now his sister had become a full fledged priestess, serving at a local temple. Inspired by his sister's success, Shiro charged onward. At twelve and a half years, he was almost ready to join the ranks of the clergy. But fate decided to disturb him again.
Shiro was praying at the temple when a sudden shriek came from the halls. He came out to a horrifying sight, his sister had been murdered.... Rage took over, and Shiro pursued the criminal with all his fury, eventually catching up to him. Using a dagger he had taken from the sanctuary, he confronted the murderer. The acolyte and the murderer locked themselves in battle, and would have killed each other if not for the timely intervention of the local militia. The criminal was placed under arrest, but Shiro still could not sleep easy.
After that day, Shiro began to become even more closed-in, not so much as a simple smile left his face. His father was worried, but he did not know of any way to help the boy. Knowing he had to do something, he sent the boy on a quest.
"I have written a letter, please, take it to the shinobi of Kumogakure, then learn from them." The priest said, handing a letter to his son. The boy, not wanting to disappoint his own father, agreed.
He set out on his thirteenth birthday, and traveled for half of a year before arriving at the gates. All the while carrying the letter from his father, which reads as follows.
'Greetings, it is I, the priest Tanaka. I have sent my son to you in hopes that he may learn from you, as I learned from you when I was a boy. If you train him well, he will serve you equally well. Please, consider this old man's request.'
iNPC - Yasu Ren
Name: Yasu Ren
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Description:
Ren's physical appearance has changed a bit since his genin days, but he is still somewhat recognizable. He has grown taller, now standing six feet tall. His body is somewhat thin but deceptively durable; the by-product of Ren's stubborn habit of choosing to absorb hits rather than dodge them. His dark hair tends to fall into somewhat random patterns. His eyes are as dark as his hair, but his gaze is one of compassion. He also dresses differently, when not wearing heavy armor he usually dresses in a black suit which covers his entire body from the neck down.
Psychologically..... Ren is still Ren. His personality has not really 'changed' as much as it has 'developed'. His better traits have grown; he is chivalrous (sometimes to a fault), pious, and fiercely protective of others. He is still somewhat shy but he manages to speak for himself, usually. Lately, he has developed some sense of regret for not being able to properly provide for his family, but he usually does not display this emotion.
History
Spoiler:
Ren was born and raised in the poorer districts of Kumogakure, his family was often homeless and without any wealth whatsoever. Despite this Ren rarely saw himself as 'needy' and instead was grateful for the few small luxuries his family could provide. He was also somewhat of a genius; he surrounded himself with whatever books the library would grant him access to, eventually teaching himself to read and write (albeit somewhat crudely at first). But more than anything else the boy grew up to be very kind; if not somewhat reclusive.
Had he been able to live his life in peace Ren might have never become a shinobi.
As the years passed by Ren noticed that his younger sister Mai was..... rather prone to illness. She was spending more time ill than playing or studying. Ren and his family were concerned but their impoverished condition meant they could not afford proper medical treatment for Mai. After giving much thought to the situation Ren decided to join the academy, hoping to earn enough money from missions to help his sister.
Ren quickly proved a genius with blades, wielding swords, daggers, and shuriken as if it were second nature. As a student Ren was destined to see things that would make other boys tremble in fear, the horrors of the demonic invasion of Kumogakure. At one point, Ren was cornered by the evil beasts which had overrun the city, and he would have died if not for the timely intervention of several of the village's finest shinobi.
It was in the aftermath of the invasion that Ren found his true calling; he would accept his destiny as a shinobi, he would protect his family and his village. He learned to fight in heavy armor without sacrificing his agility, allowing him to become a living shield for his shinobi companions. Once the invasion was over Ren would go on to pass his Genin exam, albeit with some stress.
Ren spent most of his Genin days helping to rebuild Kumogakure and honing his combat skills, in case another invasion would ever happen. He also trained his personal skills and tried his best to overcome the shyness that had dominated his early childhood. His combat skills improved, and necessity pushed him to learn to work and communicate with his allies. Over time he was granted Chuunin rank, and a position at the academy. Despite feeling the urge to stay in the field Ren eventually learned to welcome the break from active duty and his new role in raising the next generation.
Ren's life as a teacher was mostly uneventful, it lasted him until he was 18, when he was granted Jounin rank, as well as his own platoon.
Ren's force served as a 'SWAT team' for Kumogakure and Lightning Country, when there was a highly dangerous criminal that needed to be captured or killed, Ren's platoon was deployed. The men and women in his squad were responsible for the capture of several high profile criminals. Ren's pay for this position was substantial, and he made sure that as much of it as possible went back to his family.
Then, in the same year that Ren turned 25, his life took a turn for the worse. Ren's parents were killed in an accident, and Mai's bouts of illness were only getting worse. Eventually Mai was moved into the hospital, but no matter how hard the doctors tried their progress was always limited. Eventually Mai's body started to become weak, unable to sustain itself through all the disease, and she was left nearly comatose most of the day.
Ren was devastated by these events. He left all of his money with Mai and retired from his shinobi life. He then left Kumogakure, abandoning everything he knew in a desperate attempt to make some sense out of his life.
Now, three years later, word has reached Ren that the Raikage has been assassinated. He didn't need any more reasons to go home. Now, more than ever, the village needed it's heroes.
"Everyone.... I'm so sorry I left."
dNPC (linked to Aesculapium) - Yasu Mai
Name: Yasu Mai
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Description: Photo
Mai's body has been ravaged by disease; despite this she has maintained a rather charming appearance. Her growth has been somewhat stunted, leaving her at a less than impressive four feet seven inches.... to say nothing of her still childlike appearance. Her black hair falls down below her shoulders and is rather unruly. Her eyes transition between phases of red and purple shades, usually her eyes will remain the same for a few weeks then slowly shift to a different hue.
Mai has a rather strong personality; when she is fully aware of herself she is confident to an extreme. She speaks her mind with almost no filter, sometimes causing her to say somewhat rude or inconsiderate things, but she has a very kind heart and does not harbor grudges or hold ill will against anyone.
However, it must be noted that she has a tendency to act a bit strange at times. She spends most of her time unconscious in the hospital, sometimes not waking up for weeks on end (although she is usually awake at least an hour every day). Because of the length of time that she remains unconscious she can potentially be disoriented when she is awake (this is more likely to happen when she has been unconscious for longer periods of time).
History
Spoiler:
Mai grew up with her older brother, Ren, and would always be seen playing with him. The two were almost inseparable. Everything Ren did, Mai tried to do as well. When Ren learned to read, she learned to read too. When he learned to fence, she learned too. When Ren did ANYTHING, Mai tried to copy it.
Eventually, though, Mai found it harder and harder to keep up with her brother. She was always tired, always sick. She knew something was wrong with her but her family had no money to afford proper medical care. Ren would be the one to come up with a solution, he would join the academy to earn enough money to pay for Mai's treatment. Mai couldn't refuse the generosity of her brother.
For the longest time Mai's life was.... easier. Still rough, but easier. She still got sick a lot, but thanks to the money that Ren sent home she was able to afford medicine and therapy to ward off the illness. It would turn out to be a temporary solution, but for now Mai could live somewhat normally.
Eventually the family fell on a very hard year. Mai had to bear witness to the accident that would claim her parent's lives. It was just another day until a loaded merchant cart tipped over, crushing the poor souls almost instantly. An accident of that magnitude almost seemed to be a hate letter from fate itself.... of course, fate was not done yet.
The grief from losing her parents had a physical toll on Mai, the host of afflictions that she had been dealing with all her life would attack her body all at once. From then out she would be frail, and barely have enough energy to stay awake. She was moved to the hospital, but as far as the medics could tell it was too late, the damage had already been done. All they could do was keep the poor girl alive, and sometimes just barely at that, while she spent most of her days asleep.
She is still a resident at the hospital, currently in room 223. She's mostly unnoticed, when she does wake up she will usually call for a nurse to check her vitals and help her get food and water.... and to keep her company, it get's lonely in that room, even if you're asleep all the time...

Core Ability - Spiritualist
Spoiler:
Disparaging of evil, the Spiritualist is one who believes in the path of purification, using their spiritual talents to ward off demons and protect the innocent. Traditionally guardians of shrines, more recently they have started applying their spiritual powers to protecting in a more active way. Their powers of healing and channeling are said to come directly from divinity.
Note: All techniques and buffs from this Core Ability are classified as Light.
Holy Weapon - Passive
The blade of the Spiritualist must be mighty and strike true, just as all their blows must. One with this special affinity can strike well indeed. The inner light of the user's chakra shimmers off a blade with this power in it, and they are said never to grow dull or rusty, and the wood of their wooden weapons to never rot or need polishing.
Effect: Grants +10% damage and +1 accuracy to the user's weapon of choice. While the user carries this weapon, their healing jutsu are 15% more effective.
White Blessing - Boost (Purchased Twice)
Restriction- Can only be purchased twice
Spiritualist emanate a calming, pacifying aura that washes over their allies, imbuing them with a sense of precision and clear-mindedness that makes their strikes more precise.
Effect: User and allies gain +1 accuracy. Does not stack with other users of White Blessing.
Holy Embodiment - Passive
Restriction- C Rank and up
As guardians against evil, Spiritualists are naturally resistant to the effects of it. They do not shirk in the face of fear, nor are they repelled easily. Those Spiritualists with this skill are said to have the appearance of a shimmering white aura around them by those sensitive to such things, as if to shield them.
Effect: All Dark jutsu do 50% damage to them. User is immune to fear effects and intimidation effects. Suppression or other AP reduction or attack disrupting effects have only half their normal chance of working on them.
Sacred Style - Style
Restriction- C Rank and up, requires Holy Weapon
Occasionally their natural passive aura isn't strong enough, so the Spiritualist must sharpen and hone their aura to let them move faster and with more precision than normal. In this state, anyone can see the radiant white chakra that spills off of both the Spiritualist and their weapon, and they are able to swing around the heaviest of weapons one-handed with little regard to weight.
Effect: User gains +1 accuracy and +1 critical range with their chosen weapon. For the duration of this style, the weapon is considered 'light' regardless of actual weight and able to cut through half of physical damage reduction. Exhausts at an above average rate.
Note: Like any other fighting style, this can be turned on or off at the user’s discretion or lack there of. Counts as a Physical Style.
Weapon Affinity - Passive
Restriction- Must have a weapon of chosen type
It is not easy to prise the Spiritualist's weapon out of their grasp. The flow of their chakra into it constantly has bonded it to them, making it an extension of their own body.
Effect: User gains +2 against being disarmed. Exhaustion penalties for their basic weapon attacks are treated as one weight class lower. If their weapon is already considered light, exhaustion penalties are halved.
Divine Health - Boost
Restriction- Can be purchased up to three times
As their spiritual powers are divine, so is their ability to repair and restore others. A Spiritualist not only is able to fix other's wounds at an increased rate, but when the favour is returned, they heal more quickly themselves as well.
Effect: All Healing jutsu used by or on the user is increased by +5%. In addition, the user recovers +1% Max HP while resting.
Divinity Aura - Modification
Restriction- Must have Aura jutsu
The normally invisible and intangible aura of holy energy that suffuses the Spiritualist is able to become a physical, visible presence when the user chooses to use it. Their weapon glows brightly with a light that makes it difficult to look at, and the normal rules for the Aura jutsu are surpassed if the Spiritualist wills it.
Effect: Grants an additional 5% base damage to the weapon under the effect of Aura, if it is their chosen weapon, and allows it to cut through all damage reduction.
Clarity Strike - Dependent Special Move (Purchased)
Not only skilled with their weapons, the Spiritualist is able to channel their specialized chakra into a spell, making it bypass even the strongest defenses. The Ninjutsu cast using this technique are enhanced with the natural aura of the user.
Effect: Able to convert one Ninjutsu into a single-target non-elemental attack at +20% damage for an extra +20% chakra. This attack is considered 'light' element and cuts through half of all Ninjutsu damage reduction.
Spiritual Chakra - Boost (Purchased Twice)
Restriction- Can be purchased twice
The default chakra of a Spiritualist is not the same as that of their fellow ninja, but rather gifted with a different kind of power altogether. It seems to cut through anything that hinders it with little effort.
Effect: +5% damage to all Ninjutsu. This damage counts as 'Light' element and cuts through half of Ninjutsu damage reduction. This bonus applies to all other Spiritualist light chakra techniques as well.
Divine Light - Independent Special Move
Restriction- C Rank and up
Light can be used for many things. Traditionally, Spiritualists use their powers for honorable strikes and abhor sneak attacks. However, they aren't adverse to evening out a fight in an unfair situation, especially when combating against those who would use such skills on them.
Effect: Makes a bright flash of light that blinds everyone who fails a Ninjutsu dodge check against it in the battle, allies included. Gives -4 accuracy that round. Blindness wears off by half each round. Can only be used once every three rounds.
White Blaze - Dependent Special Move
Those who only possess one form of a technique are likely to be outmaneuvered. In addition to possessing the power to convert a jutsu into an attack on a single target, the Spiritualist also can gain the skill to weaken it slightly and make the range of the jutsu expand instead, favoring an increased chance to strike over damage.
Effect: The user is able to convert any Ninjutsu into a Light-Element attack dealing +10% Damage to a 25x25 foot area, but costing an additional +10% Chakra. This attack cuts through half of all damage reduction, and does not receive any Elemental buffs.
Illuminate - Jutsu
Restriction- A-Rank and up
The most powerful weapon in a Spiritualist's arsenal, this technique consists of a flurry of their special chakra directed at the opponent, striking them in a series of damaging rays. The attack usually stuns those who haven't seen it before, as the flashes of light emitted are quite bright and as unnatural-seeming as the rest of the Spiritualist's skills.
Rank 1: Five flashes of light chakra at 1000 damage each. Attack counts as non-elemental Ninjutsu and cuts through half of all relevant damage reduction.
Rank 2: Five flashes of light chakra at 1200 damage each. Attack counts as non-elemental Ninjutsu and cuts through half of all relevant damage reduction.
Cost: 2750 CP and 3 AP
Note: Counts as a light energy technique.
