Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Closing his eyes, Hira took a deep breath and envisioned how he would try to attack Raku. Speed and power were clearly not in his favor, and neither was perception. The boy was outmatched in every category, of course, and even it the spar was toned down, Raku seemed like the kind of guy who might like to still mess with a student. Well, my mind is what's gotten me this far. He concocted a plan in his mind, not caring that he had not practiced what he was about to try. Walking slowly over to Raku, Hira stopped a few feet away, giving him a bow to show his respect, and to potentially throw him off his guard if he wasn't expecting such a formality. Without waiting for a response, Hira lunged forward, sword in his dominant right hand ready to pierce forward into Raku's side. Time seemed to slow down. Perhaps it was the adrenaline of having what would be the closest thing to a fight he's ever been in. As he reached closer to Raku, though, he did not simply continue pushing into the thrust. The boy brought his left hand over to grab the blade, using the forward momentum he had already gathered to plant his feet down and spin, redirecting his attack further up from a different angle. Did he really just pull that off? He was surprising even himself. The attack was slow and clumsy, but perhaps tricky enough to work.

Focusing carefully after his teacher's instruction, Hira mimicked the series of hand signs, creating his normal ball of water, though noticing as Kaji had said that it was much more controlled. Hira wasn't usually quick to pick up on many skills when it came to chakra control, but somehow this felt natural, like he was born to do it. With a flick of his wrists, he elongated the ball into a well-formed whip. "Well that was easy. Why didn't we just learn this last time?" With a cocky grin the boy prepared to strike with his newly made weapon, hoping to show up his teacher after the confidence of so feasibly grasping the new move.

Staring down at the leaf, Hira attempted to focus chakra into his palms, a feeling he was entirely alienated to. Perhaps if he would have shown up to more of his academy classes he would be more familiar with the feeling. Giving a straining face, the boy grunted and groaned in frustration as he attempted to complete the unfamiliar technique, wondering how long it might take to see a change in the leaf. As if responding to his annoyance, the leaf suddenly started to swell up a little bit before crumpling up, now moist and dripping a few solitary drops of water.

The Naku Shi Blades are a series of long, slender, and multi-pronged blades that are attached to several lengths of corded steel, to which the user can both throw and retract the weapons at will without worry of losing the weapons to enemy attacks. The blades themselves are forged of a mineral mined from a strange cavern near the base of one of the mountains in the Hidden Cloud Village. The material itself is incredibly attuned to water nature chakra, and when provided with such will be sharpened by leaps and bounds. The name of the blades comes directly from the impression it gives off in battle. As the blades are fed water chakra, they drip excess water off as they fly through the air, and as a lattice of fatal skewers come down from the sky, in the heat of battle where upon the senses can be led astray, it almost seems as though the sky itself is weeping; a strange and foreboding sign of the receiving end's imminent demise.

After becoming a Genin, Hira began training with weapons once again. Just under a year after the occasion, his father recovered from a severe illness, no longer able to perform as a shinobi under service to the nation, but retaining some of his past skills. Sword training went well for a time, but as the pair continued working together on finding a unique method of which Hira excelled at, they began to notice that he did not fare as well in close combat, or rather that Hira was better suited for keeping away. His father changed the approach he was taking and instead began to tutor Hira in the ways of both shuriken and kunai. When Hira picked up the style with more finesse, his father invested in getting him a weapon that would both suit his chakra nature and physical fighting style. When he finally received the custom made weapon, he engraved the blades with various decorum, all imitating that of his sword's blue and silver waves. With time Hira would learn how best to utilize this weapon, as he tied the steel chords to his upper arms, letting the blades hang loose in battle, while keeping them hidden in his long kimono sleeves at other times.

Presently, Hira carries this weapon with him wherever he goes, just s he used to carry his father's practice sword. In a way, it represented both his new resolve to get stronger and become a strong shinobi, as well as a memento representing the constant presence and guidance of his father.

Requesting Ability: Deflection
[spoilername="RP"]The sound of clashing metal engulfed the dojo as Shimada swung his sword down towards Hira's vulnerable position. "You're gonna have to try harder than that if you want to keep up with me, son." Hira narrowly dodged to the side, escaping the immediate threat of his father's practice sword, made of wood and decorated with artistic lines of blue and silver. As the weapon zoomed close the boy's face, he pressed his legs firmly against the ground, then pushing off, using the force and momentum to jump backward, creating some distance between the two sparring partners.

Preparing for the next onslaught of attacks, he grabbed a kunai from a pouch strapped to his waist, grasping it somewhat loosely in his hand to make for a quick reactionary shot if need be. Shimada took a moment to catch his breath before once against charging at Hira, sword gripped tightly and trailing by his side, ready to strike. As the man came within striking distance of Hira, he pushed his top hand down, using the force to propel his blade upwards with aggressive power. Hira took the kunai in his hand, lobbing it up towards the point of the practice blade, and with its impact, creating enough force to push the blade to the side. Over the years, Hira found himself better suited to using these ranged weapons as opposed to the swords he had been practicing with prior to the emergence of his water chakra nature.[/spoilername]

Requesting Ability: Mechanized Weapon
Mechanized Weapon will be used on the requested weapon above, the Naku Shi blades.
[spoilername="RP"]Siezing his opportunity after knocking his father's blade out of the way, Hira tugged on a discreet wire, hidden away up his kimono's sleeve. He looked at his father with a grin. "You're gonna have to be smarter than that if you wanna keep up with me, pops."

With that, the kunai he had just thrown came whizzing back towards Shimada's back, tugged back by the almost invisible wire tied around the hilt. Catching his father by surprise, Hira laughed as the old man fell onto his back in an attempt to dodge the incoming projectile.

"Damn, you're really getting better with those tricks, huh?"[/spoilername]

Requesting Ability: Healing Factor
[spoilername="RP"]As the kunai tugged by the wire flew of Shimada's head, he grinned ever so slightly. Although he had just recently recovered from his illness, he still held the skills of a fully fledged shinobi, and he wasn't about to take it easy on Hira. There was a lesson to be learned: never to let your guard down, even when victory seemed all but assured.

Lifting the hilt of his sword up, Shimada caught the wire attached to the kunai, making it swing around the wooden blade until it was entirely wrapped around it. Not more than a second later, Hira was on the ground,
his legs pulled out from under him as Shimada pulled the wire back with force. As Hira fell forward, his arm caught on the Kunai, making a sizable cut in his arm. Hira winced in pain for a moment but quickly tended to his wound with his water nature. The torn skin began to bubble as he placed a hand over it, and water sprung forth from the wound like a fountain coming to life. It enclosed the gap at first, then slowly began reinvigorating his cells with new life, essentially stitching the cut after some time.

"Not bad... for an old man." Hira and Shimada sharedd a laugh before cleaning up and heading home for the day.[/spoilername]

[spoilername="RP"]Hira had been working for days trying to utilize his weapon to its full potential. The metal reacted to his water nature and dripped liquid chakra with each swing, causing it to splash water all over his father's dojo. Although he had gotten the hang of spinning the unwieldy corded blades, he was still proving to be far too slow to keep up.

There's gotta be another way to make this... wait a second...

Seeing an opportunity, Hira used the water on the floor, knocking it up each time he spun his weapon around, using it as a way to control the projectiles mid-flight. With the use of this technique, his weapon would prove to be much more accurate.

As Hira swung his weapon around, he found it increasingly more difficult to keep multiple blades in the air at once. Ever since it had been reforged, it had been much harder to handle, and he realized that he would have to focus more on getting a few good hits in as opposed to wasting energy throwing out a flurry of inaccurate assaults. Taking a single blade into his hand, he focused on the center of the target and threw with all his might. Though the blade veered to the side through the force of the wind piercing through the sky, not directly following up with another attack gave him the opportunity to manuever his hand and affect the water chakra in his blade to twist it and land a more direct blow.[/spoilername]

Lifting one arm up slowly, he pressed his hands together. In a split moment they were moving at an extreme speed, forming signs as though his life depended on it:

Ushi, Sara, Oo, Nae, Ee, Tori, Ushi, Uma, Tori, Nae, Tora, Inu, Tora, Mee, Ushi, Hitsuji, Mee, Ee, Hitsuji, Nae, Jin, Sara, Tori, Tatsu, Tori, Ushi, Uma, Hitsuji, Tora, Mee, Nae, Sara, Oo, Ee, Tatsu, Hitsuji, Nae, Ushi, Sara, Tori, Jin, Nae, Ee, Tori.

With a slight exhalation and a lift of his arm, Hira yelled as a large mass of water came bursting out from the river, its force and speed greater than anything he had ever controlled before. The front of the mass began to take form, pulling back until a long, menacing head took place at the helm. It had a long mouth and snout, opening slightly to show off a glaring set of watery teeth. The massive creation began to move ever so slightly before crashing back down to the river, splashing the surrounding area with a cascade of both water and chakra.

Though Hira was learning to control his weapon, he was quickly figuring out that it had come to sport a mind of its own, seeming almost as though it was alive and sentient. When he would throw it out, it would sometimes draw upon powers that he hadn't thought were available to him... or to the weapon for that matter. Whether it was driving forward at inhuman speeds or lighting up like a lamp, it seemed to adapt to the conditions that it was placed in, almost as though the weapon itself had been fine-tuned through years of combat experience.[/spoilername]
[spoilername="Bloody Mess"]Bloody Mess
Not all of Hira's training was plain and innocent; he had experienced the face of death first-hand and wasn't about to hold back when it came to getting stronger, regardless of what that meant. He spent days at a time out in the forest, slicing up trees in an attempt to perfect his blade's natural strengths. With a blade that incessantly sharpened itself through the molding of Hira's water-based chakra, it made for a weapon that could tear something to shreds in a heartbeat, and Hira tirelessly improved his aim, dragging out target dummies to practice hitting all of an enemy's vital spots.[/spoilername]

Hirateuchi said:
His thoughts began to race as his feet picked themselves up a moved almost as if on instinct, not fueled by any conscious thought, but by a desire to help those still at risk.

Taking his first step into the house, his eyes darted back and forth, absorbing the scene in order to plan what would be the most appropriate action. Thunderous roars trembled the core of the earth as the beast continued its rampage outside, and the structure of the building seemed to grow more and more treacherous with each passing quake. Hira immediately ran up the stairs to the second floor, where several voices emanated from, passing an escaping woman on her way out leaving with a warning of the cracking timbers and stone. This reminder of the urgency presiding over his task caused Hira to rush even faster into the precarious framework.

The trout looked up with a frown and as it began to get pelted. While the plump man with the mask jumped in revel, Hira stared in awe, quickly turning to fear as he realized the toads were raining down on him as well. "Mr. Gatatuba... you're hitting me too!" He tried and tried to convince the man to stop his Jutsu, but it was too late. He was beginning to grow an ever-worsening headache, made even more frustrating by the fact that the toads were now sticking to his head, tongues stuck out in a vulgar fashion. Slowly Hira fell to the floor, unable to stand against the onslaught of toads, almost as if they were trying to carry him to a whole new world. Soon enough, Hira's vision went black...[/spoilername]
[spoilername="Duelist"]Duelist
Hira had begun to develop a new strategy of training, albeit a highly unconventional one. Where he couldn't find any more willing sparring partners with Tatsuo having disappeared back to his own village, he found himself using his weapon's odd sense of "being alive" to accomplish the same task. He would focus just enough chakra into the blades to spring them to life, with the intention of coming straight at him, and practiced his dodging. It was almost the perfect practicing technique: the blades somehow had the sense to stop right before hitting him but swung with enough force that if he were to dodge or block it would be as close to a real combat situation as possible. This training was aiding him in learning how to tune into an opponent's attacks and react accordingly.[/spoilername]

The wind rustled over the leaves of the trees, the only sound emanating through the thick trees as the forest lay motionless, insignificant compared to the writhing turmoil within Hira's heart. Hira sat cross-legged in a slightly meditative stance, absorbing the surrounding calm as he stared at the dark night sky, it's inky depths consuming yet surprisingly alive. His chest expanded as he breathed in heavily, allowing himself to calm down slightly, momentarily. Although the area had not given any indication, he could tell that something was disturbing the typical calm he came seeking.

Standing up, he brushed off his kimono, relieving it of all the dirt that had piled up from nature's floor. Soon enough he found himself hopping in between trees, keeping an eye out for whatever might be occurring that had him so nervous. Coming to a rest on a branch not too far away from a small fire, Hira soon spotted the spectacle. The foliage blocked whomever was sitting there from view, but the flame itself was enough to create a tension he could not avoid.
[/spoilername]
[spoilername="Shinobi 101 Switch"]Once again Hira's blade began to move around on its own accord, piquing his interest but also worrying him. What was the mystery driving this strange phenomenon? He found himself standing in the middle of the forest once again pondering this strange event as he trained, and that is where the thought suddenly struck him like a boulder in full tow. Focusing his chakra towards his arm where the blade's coil was wrapped, he noticed it spring to life with renewed vigor. Trying once again, he focused his chakra but with the intent on directing the blade, and sure enough the blade followed his thoughts, almost as though the weapon and wielder were connected by some unspoken bond, a kinship forged from years of trust.[/spoilername]
