Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Cold optics slid silently across their frames, a lingering shadow and a gentle chime accompanying a series of unpredictable footfalls as a hidden hand tinkered nimbly with some unseen puzzle above them. It had become a habit of his to do most things without seeing them, moreso to do them exclusively with his off hand. It gave him considerably more to focus on as he passed the time getting from point A to point B. And oh~ how much time did he spend between those points. Why it had taken him his whole life just to get here from all the places he had been and he couldn't even remember how long that had been anymore, let alone how long it had been since the last time he had been at these gates specifically.

A blue haired figure made his way through the trees in a clumsy fashion, teetering at unseen obstacles and stepping over threatening twigs as he steadily approached a gate he had not seen in over a decade. He had a dull look on his face and occasionally would seem to misstep in such a way that left one of his toeless boots hanging as he awkwardly hopped along on one foot. At one point he even ended up tripping over a shrub, the large tote he was carrying over his shoulder toppling onto him and clanking obnoxiously. He was quick to correct himself though, propping himself up with a hand that had been up until that point hidden beneath his heavy tan shroud and fumbling vigorously with his things until he had collected himself.

The look of ignorant stupor never seemed to leave his face, his large sunglasses leaving most of his expression to the imagination as he swiveled his jaw to haphazardly tilt an unlit cigarette. At some point he needed to tilt his head upward though, as he found himself impeded by what he could tell was a much fancier version of something he could only remember from dreams.

'Come with me... and you'll be~'</FONTSIZE>

The rest could be heard hummed from the all spaces. A Welcoming drove of a solo comrade would substantially watch as the toppling shinobi(?) would make his way in a somewhat clumsy fashion through the brush and clearing. . . Tamashii would be playing games with his spiders. Trying to figure out if there was something that he could manage to do without alerting the Main Branch to his presence. He was to be protecting the Hokage, but there were squads for that duty while he managed to be an extra man in everything. He was apart of all squads, and he managed to do somethings with Main Branch as his Dual persona allowed him clearance. Still though, it was nice to be back in his ANBU garbs.
'Oh what do you have here. . .'
Looking down he would find himself gazing at the 'new arrival' it'd been sometime since he'd seen anyone of note coming through, he could sense chakra coming from the fellow. ANBU things and such. A chuckle to himself as he'd find himself delving into reality and reappearing infront of the man a good distance away as he would nod. The voice changer under his garbs served him well but anyone who had a keen sense of hearing could over time hear what his real voice might've sounded like.

<FONTSIZE fontsize="11">"Welcome to Konohagakure. . . Might I ask~ what are your reasons for arrival?"
Leaving him to tilt his head to the man. . . wondering what kind of response he'd be getting. Then again, Tamashii was ready for just about anything that came his way. . . What came next was in the court of the unknown comrade. . . but until that road was crossed, Tamashii would be quite loose on his expectations.

Somewhere under the light blue bangs of the refugee a pair of eyebrows would jounce emphatically, the mysterious stranger appearing before him in a way that certainly guaranteed he wasn't a samurai or some other clever imitation of a shinobi. At this the young man would adjust his sunglasses with his off hand, parting his shroud just enough to passively reveal the leaf headband hanging from his obi.

"The rebels to the southeast told me that you guys could use an extra pair of hands, figured I would stop by and see what I could do."

The leaf refugee gave a gentle smile. Normally he would have been fairly paranoid in a situation like this one, but with home so close he couldn't help but feel a bit eager to walk the streets he had so fondly remembered.

If they were still intact anyway...

"Oyoyoy~"
Tamashii found his mind blistered to the thoughts that this man seemed to be a native of this place. Though, why was he so far out? Well for a while they would have to be lenient with the intrusion of former members coming back home. Though, Tamashii was the leader of the ANBU, with that came alot of duty. He was famed to the cloth of Iwa's ANBU. He was one of the first to wear the mask and hide the identity of himself from the world. He was honored enough to be the same here. To be something more than a mere Jounin. However, he was excited to be apart of the grand beginning... and reopening of these peoples home. Would Tamashii have done the same as this sunglassed man? Yes, yes he would've. In a different less clumsy fashion but... the action would be the same.
"Name?"
Taking out the little black BIngo Book as he would check a few things before putting it back in his garbs. This man didnt fit the bill for anyone they were looking for, and he didnt sense any chakra being used that would change his imagery. Either this man was bold, or he had nothing to hide coming home for the first time in ages. Tamashii felt it was the latter but he wouldnt take unnecessary risks with the lives of thousands leaning on his decisions being made right the first time around. He spotted the headband but with how long the village had been under the control of the Daimyo anyone could have a headband at this point... Especially coming from camps that the Daimyo still controlled. To which Tamashii would have to inspect further as he figured out who all he could trust within his branch.

"Bakanyoni Takayama, born Kakihara Takayama, son of Kakihara Zenzo..."

The blue haired refugee would lift his leg casually and itch the back of his calve, his posture seeming just a hair more off balance than should have been physically possible for a moment. He wasn't sure exactly how useful any of those names would be to the ANBU, but they were all he had. They might be able to cross reference with Stone if leaf's records had been damaged, but they would probably find the record of his death a bit suspicious, moreso thanks to the church wanting to cover up the facts of his supposed death to the general public. The only two people who would even be able to confirm the story were a man who had claimed he was the raikage and an ANBU who had gone out of his way to disobey post orders and help him escape the village.

Neither source could really be considered trustworthy at the moment, but hopefully Leaf's records were still intact enough that they wouldn't dig too deep...

A simple nod was given from the Strider. He remained quiet for a moment as he wrote something down on his pad. The air was quite chilly to this thought, and with something that seemed to guide him with a simple gesture, Takayama would see the singular eye in the mask of the ANBU before him before his pupil would split in two.

"Entry Granted.", then he would warp and vanish before Taka's eyes before the gates would ominously open for him.

The blue haired refugee whistled an impressed note as the grand wall before him gave way to the unseen splendor a within, his freehand reaching up to adjust his sunglasses as he took a few cautious steps forward. This was the place he had been waiting for over a decade to get back to and yet in spite of all the excited thoughts that should have been running through his head the only thing that seemed to cross his mind was whether or not he was going to be able to find something decent to eat this early in the morning.

The hand beneath his shroud fiddled with one or more of it's unseen toys and, after a moment of clicks and subtle whirring noises, something on his obi clicked decisively. In that instant something in the distance began to shudder, the branches he had so ignorantly tripped over suddenly bursting to life and tossing themselves aside. In their midst an odd looking steel contraption no bigger than a tea kettle emerged, covered in explosive notes and bizarre engravings that did little to explain why it was so rapidly skipping across the ground towards the blue haired shinobi waiting just outside the gates. Another moment gone and the bizarre confabulation would slide up to his pant leg, the odd rock and dangle clearly implicating a ninja wire as its means of propulsion.

Takayama would only fiddle a few seconds longer before making his way through the towering gates, his steps now casual and the gentle smile on his face genuine.
