To reminisce about the past under these conditions is like living under the pretense that some of the shattered remains of your social life can be mended. A Jinchuuriki was more often than not banished, ostracized or worse, ever so much worse, that no amount of raw power could protect one from experiencing the sheer weight of soul-crushing guilt. It was meant to be a dour, self-sacrificing life, a trial of life for all ages, a sickening and twisted attempt of higher cosmic powers to have you build character.
Dodged the bullet there, huh?

Yoshihisa cautiously strode across the road leading up to Iwagakure, the Titan's Keep in the distance still managing to strike him with awe as it had the very first time. With his umber coat cloaking him from view under the dark of night, the Shinobi had only barely managed to sort out his racing thoughts and wouldn't mind having another moment to himself while the silence lasted. Yet to forgo now couldn't delay that his was meant to be a path of an aspiring ANBU, the mere thought of bringing out a report very first thing in the morning caused the boy's stomach to roil. A year had passed since his training had begun, but he would be deceiving himself if he kept the hope alive that any sort of pleasant homecoming would be awaiting him once he had stepped beyond the gates. It would have to wait.
"Kodoma Yoshihisa, reporting! May I enter?"
With the guard looking down upon him from his booth with a somewhat irate gaze, Yoshihisa knew it was going to be a long night.

Another warm night with yet again little to no action as usual business. Sango dangled her legs from the ledge of the edge of the tower's roof tops. Her head was tilted to the sky in order to watch the fire flies dance under the spot light of the moon and to the silent melody of the night. This melody was eventually interrupted by someone below calling up to the gate guard. The fireflies un-phased continued to dance but Sango's trance had expired and her attention had now shifted to the one below. She observed him for a bit before hoping down to him. The five foot five anbu gate guard landed gracefully in a low stance before rising up in posture. She'd dust herself off before speaking. Her cheerful hazel eyes giving away her excitement to greet the new comer. She wore a orange gi with white shorts and an anbu mask dangled on her hip like an accessory to her outfit. She would give a quick bow causing her pig tails to swing forward then back as she rose. Placing her hand out she would give him the greeting of the night.
