Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Physical Appearance<i></i>


Appearing at average height and weight for his age, nothing stands out physically when it comes to Hotoke’s body structure. His muscles are as defined as one would expect of a shinobi without traditional enhancements (be it genetic/modified). He has black hair and a sunken almost tired look in his eyes. While his physical body is normal, his physical appearance was anything but. Large portions of his body is visibly covered in scar tissue, which coupled with thick stitch work reveal where portions of his skin were removed like one would peel the layers of an onion. This grotesque part of his appearance is not something he hides, openly showcasing his patchwork body without much thought to it.

Mental Description<i></i>

In the traditional sense, Hotoke is a morally sound individual who has no deviations in how he interacts with others in both private and social settings. He is as much loyal to the village of Konohagakure as one would expect from a shinobi and despite whatever thoughts about the direction of the village, he is one where it would take a definitively good reason to go against that. His problems are all motivations of self, internal issues, and a strange inability to physically harm other people. People tend to get a “cold” assumption about him however due to his viewable anti-social traits which initially feeds into their perception of the kind of person he is.

Background History<i></i>

Despite his appearance and personality when it comes to be involved with others in social settings, Hotoke was born and raised within a relatively normal family. Both his mother and father were present in his home as he grew up and both served as medical shinobi up until his late teens when they opted to retire as shinobi. This allowed him to take the mantle and continue his families commitement to the village. Having been reared in a loving and tolerable home, his early years were spent like most kids; playing, being scolded for behavioral problems, making friends. Just as other children from Shinobi families did, Hotoke was instructed by his parents in the basic principles of medical jutsu way before he was eligable to attend the academy. It would be these lesson which altered Hotoke’s personality and due to cause and effect, his appearance as well. Having spent some of his early years learning about the human body and simple maladys. He was taught the simple basics behind triage work (Stiching, splinting broken bones, some urgent wound care techniques) and practiced these methods using living animal specimens provided by his parents. A side effect to this exposure early was that his mind would subconsciously grow to dislike the notion of putting people in pain as opposed to providining people care to alleviate pain.

The most important things passed down to Hotoke through his parent’s pre-academy instructions were the families hiden techniques. Unlike other clans, there was no blood inheritance or traits requiring a set bloodline trait instead his families secret skills was something anyone could have been taught. Apart from learning the “hiden” jutsu of his clan, it was mentally understood what his role was for living and that was to help people. More importantly he was meant to provide help to those considered citizen’s of Konoha. A consequence to all of this would be that he would develop a strange need to experiment upon himself as his anti-bodily harm motive cemented atop his thoughts. Because of his disdain for causing others physical pain, his own body became the only source he had for his medical research and understanding. While within the Academy and his subsequent years as a shinobi, Hotoke had removed vast layers of skin in an effort to understand the human body on a microscopic level. Scar tissue cover those portions of missing skin with stitch work still visible strangely.

Although he would spend some considerable time in the academy (far longer than the typical student would be there) he developed as someone comfortable with his skill set and lack there of. While he showcases incredible chakra control and molding, he was at the same time incredibly lacking in proficiency with the ninjutsu arts and his body was not strong enough to be a taijutsu specialist. His strong suit was found to be mental tricks, falling smooth into the spectrum of his personal phobia of causing physical harm. Graduation for him would come with just one focal point, to work on something completely groundbreaking that would help alleviate the pain other’s felt during recovery.

Name: Divinity’s Shroud

Description: Non-traditional and something which takes skills far more than simple observation to comprehend, Divinity’s Shroud is a passively activated ability taught as a “hiden” technique by his family and clan which requires the member to temporarily (with the aid of injected drugs) expand their chakra network coils.. The key to the technique is a strap like device wrapped around a limb of the member, using chakra to manipulate small nodes along the strap, each containing a small needle filled with a secret mix of drugs. With the aid of this device, clan members have been able to use their chakra flow to increase cell repair/regeneration. Nothing gained however hardly ever comes without a consequence, in this case the mixture of drugs produces a psychedelic effect which causes clan members to be more susceptible to overwhelming feelings of revenge when physically assaulted. Possibly due to suppressed natural instincts, the cocktail seems to trigger the persons fight response to bodily danger/harm. With increased cell recovery and regeneration, for some time the resilience of his body as a whole is multiplied. During the entirety of the time a member or Hotoke has access to the device, a faint white chakra veil envelops the person giving the ability it’s name.

Benevolent with this ability have fully mastered all aspects of healing and treating the wounds of others, making their healing jutsu that much more effective.
Effect: Medical jutsu are enhanced by 15%

Negative Energy - Dependent Special Move (3 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
Benevolent people are generally kind-hearted and adverse to violence, but when pushed far enough, they can use their medical jutsu, which deeply affect the body and chakra system, to deadly effect.
Effect: The user may use Medical jutsu offensively for the same amount of damage. Medical jutsu used in this fashion retain all buffs and use Melee Accuracy as their default option. Only Medical jutsu which heal damage can be used.

Healing Aura - Passive (2 points)
A Benevolent soothes and calms just by their very presence. This peaceful aura is said to feel like a cool breeze that not only refreshes others, but invigorates themselves as well.
Effect: The user's Medical Jutsu are Holy aligned. Holy jutsu normally heal their user for a portion of the damage dealt, but the user's Holy Medical Jutsu will also heal the user for 10% of the healing they perform on others.

Divine Mind - Boost (1 point)(Purchased 3x)
Restriction- Can be purchased up to three times
Mind over body, chakra over matter, and divinity over mortality. Benevolent fighters need to possess more fortitude than their fellows, in order to better aid them.
Effect: +2 to HP modifier.

Sacred Guard - Passive (3 points)
Something about a healer makes the forces of nature slightly less inclined to hurt them. This can often work in the Benevolent's favor, especially with their tendency to sacrifice their own health for their friends'.
Effect: The user takes 10% less Non-illusionary damage. This does not apply to Spiritual damage.

Purify - Independent Special Move (2 points)
By channeling their chakra, a Benevolent person can help rid the body of impurities, removing poisons and minor illness. Their healing touch is said to be able to restore one's fighting spirit.
Effect: For 1.5 AP, the user may dispel any poisons affecting a target. Requires Melee Contact. Cannot be used on self.
