At this point, Maji had quite the history with Houjin. It started with a fateful delivery of a gigantic hammer assigned from the Steward to a time where Maji assisted the giant in a colisseum. The white-haired student almost lost his life in both. Regardless of this fact, his relationship with the man grew as a result. Houjin was his friend now, and he waasn't as nearly as intimidating as he looked. He was a friendly giant that has saved Maji and welcomed him into his home on more than one occasion. Maji thought he was awesome.
Which led to this next mission which Maji couldn't make much sense of.
He was to convince Houjin to dress as the Winter King and entertain the shopping district. He wasn't sure why this was a necessary mission, but I guess it did spread a little holiday cheer. He didn't mind, but hopefully the man wasn't offended by the request. “Sure!” he responded to Maji's surprise. The student smiled gleefully as a response. Houjin was going to transform into the Winter King.
The two entered the shopping districts with Houjin decked out. Children and people alike circled around them and waved cheerfully. Maji returned the favor, but Houjin awkwardly responded back with accented “ho ho's”. Maji convinced him that that was the only thing the Winter King ever said, so he abided by his word and forced himself to respond in such a way. It was thorougly entertaining.
At the end of the day and without any death occurrences, Houjin and Maji left the shopping district with plastered smiles on their faces. They made people's days, despite some holiday craziness, and that was all that really mattered. Afterwards, the two went into Houjin's hut just outside the city and shared some hot apple cider and some dinner. It was a grand ol' time that Maji would surely remember.
Merry Christmas, Suna! Tis' the season!
