Ryuu Tama: MAIN: B-Rank Missions (S-Rank Rewards)
Mission Name: How Many Assassins Does It Take To Catch A Scientist?
Mission Type: Solo-Mission
Mission Rank: B-Rank
Objective: A gathering of assassins has been rumored to be happening tonight in the basement of a warehouse. Get in there, in disguise, and learn their plans. Make sure anyone who is threatening the government is disposed of before they do so.
Oh what a bloody conundrum this was.
Tama wasn’t a man who was opposed to working for his government anymore considering his part played in the recent cure development for the worm virus, but he never expected the mission letter that was in his box that day. Infiltrate and remove a group of rogue assassins? Someone up in the mission department had caught wind of his genius and was apparently deciding to test his full mettle as a shinobi.
Bloody hell.
So an hour later Tama had himself dressed in beggar’s clothing on one of the poorer corners of the Grand Palais begging for money. It was the only disguise he could think of considering the location and not for the first time was thankful he didn’t have long hair; short hair was so much easier to mess up properly.
His whole tactic was to wait patiently near the warehouse that he had been instructed to infiltrate and ambush one of the assassins and steal an uniform to get in with the most cliché tactic he could think of. It was hard taking slow research and placing them on a fast pace mission! Yet ironically enough the entire shenanigan paid off when one of the most obvious looking assassins he had ever seen waltzed down the street and towards the “abandoned” warehouse.
“Spare some change…” Tama moaned out at the assassin instantly earning his irk. Apparently the cretin had something against the people of the poor district or was just some kind of murder freak because without hesitation he pulled out a kunai and went straight at Tama.
Panicking a little the scientist yelp and scooted back away from the man until his back reached the wall. The killer quickly closed in on Tama and brought the blade down to stab directly into his neck, severing an artery and puncturing his windpipe. The blade was ripped out and repeatedly stabbed back into Tama until it was more than apparent that he was dead or at least bleeding to death rather fast. The assassin turned his back and dropped the kunai on the ground before slowly resuming his walk back towards the warehouse.
Only three steps were taken before his own kunai was pierced back through his heart. Tama stood behind him with his bloody rags on and pristine flesh where the wound should have been. The counter attack had been so ninja that the scientist had to take a step back and admire his work and the insanely quick healing process his body had mastered. However there was a job at hand, and he was aiming to finish it. Grabbing the assassin he dragged him slowly into a dark ally, not caring if anyone saw for this was undoubtedly somewhat normal down here.
Tama reemerged from the alley dressed and masked up in the assassin’s outfit with most of the blood washed off around the hole and the wound in the clothing patched up. He kept everything the assassin was wearing in the uniform including a self destruct e-note that was tagged inside of the uniform; of course he deactivated it but allowed the original chakra to remain there. Walking towards the building he felt the presence of a barrier around it and with a simple push of his chakra out from an extended hand the purple dome revealed itself to the scientist.
It seemed to be little more than a simple sensory dome that had the same chakra as the one imbedded inside of the e-note. It was so ironic how cliché this mission was becoming and just how freaking lucky the scientist was on such a job.
He walked through the barrier with no resistance and opened the doors to the warehouse to be greeted by an open dark empty storage shed when a single candle shined.
“About time Rynan! We were about to start without you.”
“Oh blow it out your ass,” Tama responded and was glad to see that no one questioned it but just gave him what seemed like the normal glares a group of people gives to that one guy no one likes. Oh how lucky could Tama get!?
“Anyways,,” the leader of this little collection of assassins said, “Tonight I bring word from Master Uwa who says the plan to assassinate the council members of Suna is in place and that we begin our mission after this meeting is adjourned. Now, everyone knows your role and who you’ve been assigned to kill. I don’t need to warn you that some of these individuals are extremely powerful and its going to take more than one of you t o take them down, but we have the resources to accomplish everything. Any questions?”
“Where will the return location be?” asked one of the other assassins for Tama, who just rolled his eyes.
“Just beyond the Red Light district where the homes stop and the natural caves starts. He’ll reveal himself if you make this symbol on the ground.” The leader pulled his kunai out and etched the symbol needed on the wooden floor, giving Tama literally everything he needed to wrap up this mission. Only question left was, did he take them all out in the most cliché manner and go along with the rest of this crazy mission, or did he do it in style and take them all out one-by-one as they all reached their targets.
Cliché, obviously.
Right as the leader started to wrap up the meeting Tama clasped his hands together suddenly and quickly went through a series of seals while rapidly pumping chakra into them. Some of the assassins stood there wondering what was going to happen, others knew immediately he was a traitor, but before anyone could react Ryuu pumped an extreme amount of chakra into the technique and unleashed a stupidly powerful lightning jutsu that speared through all six of the hired killers in an instant flash. It was one thing to be able to control the Chidori technique, but it was on a whole different level when you controlled two chakra coils to pump out into a single technique.
While it didn’t exactly outright kill all of them it did mortal wound every last one of them. Reaching up to undo the vest of his stolen uniform Tama removed the clothing and reactivated the tag inside of it to set off a chain reaction to exploding the other tags planted in the assassin’s clothing. Tossing the vest at their barely alive leader the last heir to the Ryuu Clan turned his back and walked out like a bad-ass. When he crossed the barrier without the vest it activated the tags causing all of them to be set off at once. Reaching into one of the many pockets in the pants the scientist pulled out a pair of shades and put them on just right before the explosion went off.
And flung his body through the brick wall of an old nearby shop a good twenty yards away.
