Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

After what seemed like an eternity, the Murakami half-breed of Tomoe Country had finally stumbled upon the entrance to the Hidden Leaf Village which was rather large compared to anything that she had seen growing up or on her travels throughout the world. It was also a bigger country in general versus her home country, but it was also unique in numerous ways to anything that she had seen thus far in her travels around the world; yes, she had seen smaller countries and villages as well, but they did not compare to anything of this magnitude yet. As she traveled however, she was sure that she would see many other places that simply would have her shaking her head and being awestruck at them internally while keeping her cold and distant demeanor externally.

But alas for now, she was at this gate and would begin to walk towards the village and likely be stopped in the process as it seemed to be protocol for most villages in the world from what she could tell so far. She remembered one of the first ones having their policing force stopping her in her tracks and questioning her intentions and why she was not seeking entry instead of just "forcefully" entering according to them. It was rather interesting that they seemed so much more hostile than the half-breeds and herself back home, but the world was a large place and different parts of the world likely preferred to handle things differently which is simply fascinating to her.

Regardless, she would simply continue to walk until someone decided to stop her as she did not want to cause any issues for anyone in this village since she was simply visiting and trying to gather as much information as she could to assist her back home when she returned whenever that is.

On his free day, he had been roaming around the street. The markets had provided him with some fresh apples which he would enjoy later today to make some juice from. His animal-like ears perked up as there was some noise coming from the gates. He heard the guards... Slowly he moved closed. "oi oi... I got this, you can watch if you wish." He mentioned towards the two guards. " He muttered something towards himself and moved towards the gates. "It is fine, I got it..." He spoke towards the two guardsmen and let them stand close in oder to learn. "Welcome to Konoha, please do state your business and or passport." He would comment and look a bit distant.

It would not take for someone to venture over to her and go through the standard protocol that most villages followed. As this individual was asking for her purpose or a passport from her, Tomomi could not help but notice the ears on top of his head which were similar to her horns; it made her curious to know if he had been born with them as she was due to being a half-breed or if he had done something else to obtain them. Regardless, this man seemed to just want to do his job and go on his way as he appeared not interested and rather distant like Tomomi was herself.

Due to this, the half-breed from Tomoe Country would simply give a small nod and respond as followed: "I do not know what a passport is. Please enlighten me to what that is. My name is Murakami Tomomi by the way and I am part of the policing force of Tomoe Country. I am here to explore your village and country as simply a tourist as you guys call it, I believe." She would then await the response from likely the shinobi of Konoha and hopefully he would let her be on her way as she wanted to take in all the sights and sounds of this village and country.

The ANBU would only sit and watch. The scene was something that he wanted to manage especially dealing with foreign tremors. They were most untrust worthy and he would do his due diligence in this course. Medics were sparse in times like this. They had to be protected especially with Tsukasa Mikasa going missing and Minamoto Suyashi retiring from duty to take care of his child. Yasu would just watch from atop the gate looking down and monitoring the situation being an able body willing to jump in at any time, and he would not allow someone to frame a hostile take over of the gate with a push into the village.

Or it could be seen as a rouse to divert the attention to the gate. So Yasu would kneel before laying a hand on the ground to focus himself even using his byakugan eye to search for chakra signatures around the area. Maybe it wasnt something that he could help, but he wouldnt allow anything to happen without his knowledge. He wanted to protect these lands... and he would justly do his job.

His tail swayed a little from left to right as he stood there. This was something else at least. There were already questions going through his mind when he saw the female more up close. "Hmm..." He started to think more towards himself and the next cause of action that he would do. Slowly he started to move a bit closer "Welcome to Konoha, please do state your business and or passport."

His ears perked up as he started to listen towards her, something felt.. odd... He placed his left hand below his chin, leaning on his right hand with his elbow. "Hmm... You say you do not know... Passports are documents, which you gain for your village if you leave their gates. Also to show to others that you are from a certain village, who you are... and what might be a cause of coming here. Those are your personal documents you could say." He would lower his arm and cross them. Slight annoyed that this person didn't have any on them. "So... You do not have a passport, want to roam around on this place... Then I might need some more information about you... Would you mind share that under an apple..? I have enough for everyone." He had already smelled someone new around the area but left it up to him if he would or wouldn't join up.

If they took or didn't take an apple he would sit down, yet didn't lower his guard at all. "Please answer me the following questions. How long do you plan to stay? Is there an additional reason besides being a tourist to our village? If you are the police force, do you have any form of identification on yourself to prove such a fact? Last one, what can we expect from you. This last question you see is because Konoha had a slightly troubled time behind it's back."

It would appear that things were not going to be as easy as they had been in the other villages that she had visited prior to this one. While it was understandable that this individual wanted information from her, his demeanor towards her was not ideal at the very least. It was almost like he woke up on the wrong side of the bed and believed that he had to attend to her when there were likely other capable individuals around that could easily handle the situation themselves. Nevertheless even with a poor attitude towards her, he did offer her an apple and explained to her what a passport was which was a foreign word to her. She would need to discuss this item that provided documentation with her village when she returned home to try to prevent any future issues at a village's entrance.

For now though, she would kindly decline the apple offer and proceed to address him yet again. Of course, her appearance and words were cold and distant as always as she begun: "I did not realize that there would be so many questions asked of me for wanting to explore and learn more about your village and country. I am simply traveling around the known world trying to learn as much as I can about the other countries and villages' cultures that I can take home and help my own village grow. Regarding your badge question, I am not entirely sure why you need a badge for if you are the policing force of your village, sir. In our village, the only ones that are in the police force are ones that are born from a human and an oni and they have to go through vigorous training that often sees many of them die off. I am one of the few that survived in my class."

Momentarily, she would pause to gather her thoughts regarding his last few questions. He certainly asked a lot of questions that felt like an interrogation more so than a ciitizen of this village wanting some questions to ensure their village would be safe. Regardless, she would respond once more: "I do not have a time period of when I will be leaving. As for what to expect from me, I want to explore your village, try your food and drinks, talk with your people, and possibly see how shinobi fight since I am not a shinobi myself. Essentially, I would to learn about this village and how they are versus the other ones that I visited and my own. However, I can tell that these are likely not the answers that you wish to hear so to ensure you that I am not bringing harm to your village, why don't you assign someone to watch over me while I stay, sir?"

“I volunteer as tribute!”

Yep, that’s right. I was standing there the whole time. I was one of the two Anbu getting schooled on “how It’s done” as the furry so politely interjected and began doing our job. Though the real surprise is that I kept my mouth shut for at least this long. Honestly I was trying to figure out if the circus was in town considering the freak show that was happening on my shift. First an odd traveler with horns and then a man with dog ears and a wagging tail who started serving his village by taking our job. Hmm, does that mean he was a lap dog or golden retriever? Food for thought. Speaking of food, this doggy brought treats. I removed my mask letting it rest upon the side of my head like some of the cool kids like to do... me, I’m the cool kid that likes to do it. Then, I’d take a huge bite out of the apple offered to me before awesomely spitting it out and tossing it over my shoulder.

“It’s not ripe. The name’s Kami, also short for Kami. I believe an escort should suffice but it’ll cost you for anything more than a handy. Just kidding let’s roll. Tomatoe was it? You’re gonna love the food here. Best ramen in all the five great villages. We have everything from barbecue pork to kibbles and bits.”

Thank god Tomomi had showed when she did. I had been pulling guard duty for the past twelve minutes and already was I contemplating kunai-ing myself. I’d reach my fist out to the fluffy fellar in order to give him a dog pound for his help at the gates. Whether he reciprocated or not was up to him but either way I’d begin my new duty of escorting what’s her face.

“Thanks for all the help dog, I’ll take it from here. You ready for the grand tour Betsy?”

The situation unfolding in front of the half-breed was getting more interesting and odd to put it mildly at best. Originally, there was only one individual addressing her and he shared characteristics of an animal, most likely a dog as those were most common. That unique individual appeared standoffish, rude and truly did not appear to want to be handling the matter of letting her into the village and letting her explore simply as a tourist that was curious and wanted to expand her knowledge of the world since individuals of her village rarely got further outside of their village, let alone their country, than that elder woman's home who lived at the lake unless they were engaging in warfare. This was an opportunity that she wanted to take and capitalize on if it meant helping her get information that could help them back home deal with the constant warfare among villages and the internal conflicts of the village between the humans, the onis, and the half-breeds.

Fortunately, or possibly unfortunately depending on perspectives, one of the masked figures behind this animal-like male would interject into the conversation offering to be the escort of her during her stay here and mentioning that it would cost her for anymore than a handy. Exactly what a handy was, she did not know, but at least it appeared that someone was willing to accept her conditions that would hopefully alleviating any issues that this male directly in front of her felt. It would have been nice though if the red-headed beauty would have gotten her name correct, but maybe she was thinking about some food and Tomomi sounded close to Tomato. Either way, it did not matter.

Within a few moments of introducing herself and mentioning all the foods that were apparently the best, the woman would ask Tomomi if she was ready for the grand tour and using another name that was not even close to her actual name. A quick response would be given by the half-breed of Tomoe Country: "I am ready, Miss Kami, so long as it is okay with the offerer of the apple."

Ranji had a grimace on his face, he was annoyed as this child acted upon. "Say... I never heard of an ANBU giving away an Identity towards a stranger and probably a complete new village.... Are you just a speciwl snowflake or an idiot..." the last part was muttered. "Very well, what ever this stranger may do, you have givin this stranger access... Then you are responsible for the actions of this stranger. Good and or bad. Since you are already stupid... Guess I will go back to my own job then, just hope you aren't going to be in my examination room on the hospital anytime soon. " he would embark, ignore the others complete." don't worry, your identity is save with me.... That is.."

Kami entered the fray not long after he did and he was glad to see another one of his comrades getting into the mix but he would stay just a bit longer to ensure everything went smoothly. Though there were some code violations, but Yasu was not anyone's superior here. So he didnt question it, But he did note things like this or the future... If he was ever placed in a position of power he would find himself changing the rules to something more strict. Though, there was a reason he wasnt in any position of power... thus he would stay in his lane, for now.

'E no gihō o torimasu!'

Nodding to himself as he Snapshotted the entire scene for later use. Yasu would submerge into the walls of the Gate before watching the trio leave. He was definitely ready to pursue some things, and in what better way than to figure out how to bridge the gap in the village core. Maybe he would figure something out about himself in all of this, who knew. Yasu had to come out of his shell, and maybe it would surmise thoughts within him to tinker with the spectrum of ideology that he'd been brought to know. At any pace, since they were gone he would go back to his duties.
